Nothing beats practical effects and a score composed by Morricone. The Beyond and City of the Living Dead by Lucio Fulci are both close seconds. Last but not least, TV Show would be The Walking Dead.

Also not really horror, but I think you'd get away with some Terminator on there ;) If you want a fun movie to watch, look up "Dead snow" also known as "Død snø". Norwegian movie, pretty popular. It's a lot of fun with nazi zombies :D
