- We head to Alton Towers on a very quiet weekday in October! In this vlog we experience Wicker Man, The Smiler, Nemesis Reborn and many more of the big rides at Alton Towers with hardly any wait at all. We also check out the latest work taking place to prepare for Scarefest 2024, along with construction on Project Ocean in Forbidden Valley!

Wishing you a speedy recovery, Charlotte. I suffer with ankylosing spondylitis, so i understand back pain very well. Medication and gentle exercise helps. Me and the wife are heading to Alton Towers next week. We can't wait!!

I went alton towers yesterday, 7 laps on the runaway mine train! :0 got 5 runs in a row on th13teen at the end of the day!!

I like how much of the leg work they have done for scarefest. Now they have the 2 permanent buildings and queue lines and lighting so they can just swap mazes in and out with ease.
It’s good to see them thinking more long term with Scarefest!

Got my tickets booked for 18th & 19th, Excited for Scarefest! I had a trip back in June, and that was the first time I have been to Alton towers since Air opened! I have been on Iron Gwazi more times than I have Smiler lol

Was lucky to go to Alton Towers on this day. Was travelling down from Liverpool with my partner and friends and bumped into when we were about to go onto Rita, was able to see ourselves at 22:35 on Rita (was able to spot my partners jumper).
Haven’t been to Alton Towers for about 10 years before then and have been binging all your videos on AT to hype myself up to go as I’ve not been on a ride in that time, really helped

I went Monday and literally walked onto every single ride! Was amazingly quiet!!
Family trip (Hubby, me and two kiddos) visiting 27th - 30th extended trip up from London as part of my 40th celebrations. 9 year old has just hit 1.4 too so she’ll get to ride everything this time round 🥰

We were there on Tuesday the longest wait we had was 10min. Managed to get on everything more than once, got to ride wickerman for first time in the rain, holy crap it’s so much fun.
Just got back from Europa Park with my mates and we are already booking for Scare Fest on the 29th Oct! Always a lovely day at Alton Towers 🎢🙌🏼
Coming up from London this Saturday early morning and staying overnight to get two days in - fingers crossed for the weather. Much empathy, Charlotte, I've struggled with back pain over the years - I have a joint hypermobility condition which can make it difficult sometimes to manage pain levels and fatigue at parks so very much passing on love from a complete internet stranger. Hope it gets better soon.

Thi3teen's single rider queue is brilliant, went we went the queue was around 25 mins. Just walked straight on, plus the single rider merges with the fastrack unlike Smiler!
Currently in the CBeebies Hotel with our two year old, ready for his first Scarefest tomorrow (Fri 11th). Can’t wait and might catch you both somewhere in the park and say hi finally!

6:00 When i went on the Congo River Rapids a few weeks ago, as i was going through the water falls, they turned off and back on again so the water shot across the boat and i got pretty wet 😂
Yeah they do that now which isn't good... Forces people to stand up aha but congos my fav ride so I'm pretty bias aha. Best rapids in the UK

Went on a quiet day last week & the staff were like “no waiting for front row” even though it was a walk on! You got lucky we did get a back row, but sadly no front. Miss the front row queue massively
I do wish they had kept the Nemesis front row queue!

We went yesterday it was very quiet and got 7 laps around one the runways train

We managed to get 5 laps on Runaway Mine Train on a Friday in September
Im going for 2 days on Thursday 24th and Friday 25th. Never been to Scarefest before, so no idea how busy it will be.
Hoping it will be OK, considering me and my friend have 2 full days to do the Scare Mazes and rides. Definitely hope to do Wickerman and Th13teen in the dark!
Hex is a MUST too. One of my favourite dark rides but I havent been on since 2018!!! 🙈🙈

When I went on Sunday the 29th, the queues weren’t that long at all. Galactica became walk-on towards the end of the day.

You should get around 2 hours of night rides still!
I would love to go to Alton Towers on an off-peak day to skip all the queue's and stuff as I haven't been since Scarefest 2017, but my parents are not available as they work: and although I am 22 years old currently, I don't have a driver's licence as COVID stopped that.
Since the pandemic too, we are very scepticle when it comes to going out to places, for example when we go shopping, we still wear masks as we have clinically vulnerable family members so this sort of stuff is impossible for us to go out to places like this.
Hopefully you’ll be able to visit on a quiet day at some point!
