sry if this video is kinda an unorganized mess, as I too, am kinda an unorganized mess :D
my TikTok: www.tiktok.com/@tarantula.kat?
Ur vids will always be amazing even if it’s unorganized 😂
My new jumping spider Sprinkles ate a huge cricket and now has a HUGE abdomin it looks like it's going to explode
@@lucky_whale_ 😅 uh-oh
you'd never know it if you didn't just tell us. always a good day when you put out a video. ♥️
Didn't come off that way to me. Even if it did, I wouldn't judge anyway- I'm unreasonably proud of myself for just remembering to take out the garbage today let alone prepare, film, edit, and post a video online... 😉😄 Seems like you're doing well to me! Lol
(To be fair to myself, I'm disabled and the garbage can is a long, steep walk for me, so I think "forgetting" is just my body's method of self-preservation. Hahaha!)
Pro tip: You can cover the unused edge of the razor blade with tape as a temporary safety measure. I don't remove eggsacks from glass frecuently but I do score my bread with one of those and taping it makes me feel a little bit better about the integrity of my fingers afterwards
One of those tips that we should all have the common sense to know, but don't! LOL thanks!!
Eggsacs
Chai. The one who got me over my fear of spiders and now I have a Rastafari jumper. ❤️
chai is a superhero at this point
Chai is the cutest spider I’ve ever seen! 😂
Jumpies are tied with mantises for my favorite invert. Those wide lil eyes and how they move like tiny fuzzy robots and how sentient they feel when they look back at you! They're irresistible.
Jumping spiders actually get more adorable every time you see them! 😍
Like they say, when you're outnumbered by jumping spiders you're in good hands (or legs or feet or pedipalps or whatever.)
My basement is a cellar spider paradise. I think the coolest thing about cellar spiders is how they can eat prey items that are larger than them. I got to watch a particularly fat cellar spider removing what was left of a much larger wolf spider from its web.
Ok this was posted right after I came home with a jumping spider baby That made its way into my groceries and I was researching how to care for a baby. Coincidence? I think not. Lmfao
Chai is heartbreakingly adorable! Kat you’ve really helped start my education on spider keeping and making me feel comfortable on the idea of buying my own look alike Chai.
I caught and decided to keep an adorable little jumper and man is it fascinating to watch him go hunting. He hangs out a lot in the little hammock he made at the top of his enclosure.
Caller spiders are some of best assins in the spider community they can take out other spiders more than twice there size
i let them stay in my basement. one just had slings in my bathroom!
I breed jumpers! When I have a gravid female ready to lay, I move her to a temporary 32oz deli cup home until the female lays and then I'll seperate the mother and keep the babies in the 32 oz deli cup for them to hatch into!
Just another way you may or may not be interested in trying. It's so hard and time consuming to seperate clusters. I have multiple females so honestly I let the babies live together and keep them fed daily so they aren't as likely to eat each other.
Hi ! Do you sell the slings ?
In regards to brown recluse identification. Being a spider guy I always here about awful brown recluse stories as an attempt to sway me from my hobby. The funniest part is that I live in California. We don't even have brown recluse xD
My dad, when I was a kid, wouldn't let me get a scorpion because we live in Australia and he assumed our scorpions were crazy-dangerous or something. Actually no! Aussie scorpion species are typically considered quite mild on the venom spectrum as a whole! They're pretty much all basically about as dangerous as an emperor scorpion.
I’m in California as well! We definitely have em here, lol. During the summer I always see em creating webs in my backyard. They’re so fun to watch!
You’ve helped me with my arachnophobia so much. There was actually a baby jumping spider who was very interested in my lamp. Normally I would try to get rid of it, but instead I let him/her just hang out on my lamp and spin a little web. It actually made my day seeing it appear on my lamp each day! 🥺
I make pets out of my indoor jumping spiders....I just put them in my plants...and catch flies for them....lol
ohhhh I just released my local species babies back into the wild after giving them a nice good start. I want a species that isn't local to me.
Well momma Chai did it again talk about cute she so deserved her cricket , great vid Kat ...
I love your content so much! It’s really been helping with my arachnophobia. I’ve been having spiders make homes in my window and named all 4. Not afraid at all! Even thinking about getting a jumping spider☺️🖤🕷🕸
Wow! That was _way_ more slings than I expected were in there!! Amazing job, momma Chai! Congrats on all the healthy slings, Kat!
This channel terrifies me, but I can't stop watching.
Chai is getting so big it’s crazy.
Cellar spiders are what led me to watching tarantula videos actually. I really like them. They just chill and hang out and are cool to look at and please don't bother it. Like most spiders, I figure :p
I just can’t stand how cute the jumping spiders are!!! We get them here….southern Ontario, Canada, and I’ve never seen one that huge!!!!
I have a jumping spider it just laid an egg sac . I cant wait to see the cute little babbys 😇😆😆. Hopefully all the babbts survive
I need some jumpers in my life they are too adorable
Most of the jumpers where I live are fairly small (like the one living in my bedroom lol). I did find a P. johnsoni on a dock once. She was a very cooperative model, and I spent quite a bit of time getting some great shots of her. I'd never seen a jumper that big in person before, and was pretty excited! 😊 Sadly, the only person who would have shared my excitement (my then 6 year old niece) was busy playing with crabs on the beach... oh well. At least I got photos! 😄
omg the brown recluse babies reminded me - the other weekend, the NIGHT before i went out of state to visit a reptile expo, i caught and released a MASSIVE brown recluse from the bathroom when i was doing my skincare routine…. like, full sized adult, probably about half the size of the palm of my hand with the legs, body size about as big as two pinky fingernails. it was really calm when i was coaxing it into the cup to be taken back outside, thankfully 😅 it was kinda funny though bc it caught me really off guard and i was getting ready to see bugs and reptiles and the like the NEXT day haha
I had a Brown Recluse infestation before, took around a year to take care of it. That included changes in the plants around the house, the way we store things in the basement, as well as some serious clean up in areas of the yard. I slept with the lights on for months and to this day I'm still terrified of recluses, I don't think I could misidentify one if I tried, LOL! But during that time I also did a lot of research on them to try and alleviate my fear. Didn't work, still terrified, LOL
JUST ORDERED THE GOLDEN KNEE!!! I’ve been DYING for one!! 🥰🥰
I had some cellar spiders move into my box turtle enclosure and they built some very cool nests. Its funny they were able to find their way to the houses fruit fly hot spot so easily.
A few weeks ago my P audax female dropped her 5th...only paired her once. Good luck with the invasion.
So tiny, so cute. The Zebra jumping spiders in the UK are about that size as adults lol
My older ones love the superworms... seem to ignore crickets now
My jumper prefers worms as well
I wish I would live in the US right now to get a Kat jumping spider
You are the reason I am no longer scared of spiders. I have for jumping spiders and I love them so much.💕
The music you added in this video was super cool I must know the songs
Did I seriously just get a pest control add before this video?? Yes, yes I did! 😱
I just found a Cellar spider too! I thought it was so adorable that I decided to keep it ❤️
I got a lot of common house spiders in the garden. I named them all and feed them the cricket leftovers that have gotten too big for my slings and jumping spiders
I've been enjoying your content. I'm deathly afraid of spiders especially big ones. I'm watching you content to face my fear and hopefully understand them better. I have a barn spider that came in through a broken window. I allowed it to stay. She's good sized and gray. We're living peacefully and she's killing flies and lady bugs.
chai 🤝 my leopard gecko
being slow / bad at catching crickets even when prekilled (accidentally killed one with the tongues- she usually eats live)
@Mrs TK. I could watch your videos all day everyday. I Love Spiders in all shapes and sizes. As i watch and Listen to your videos. Your knowledge of spiders flows through my ears Like Music. I Love your videos and your channel. You are the power of youtube @Mrs TK
Jumping spiders are adorable 🥺
She is a cute little one. Thank you.
That was such a cool segues to the ad!
Watching this right after I removed my girls egg sac too ❤️
I named my new female "Latte" inspired by Chai ☺💜💜
I think she also has a latte lol :)
Love it how everything going
You should teach classes about spiders and reptiles. You, Petko and Exotics make them interesting. I no longer kill spiders , ants or any other insects. I imagine them going home after work and dealing with family business.
Egg sac number Five might be on the way soon
Kat now I’m gonna be obsessed with your tik tok too way to gooo
Big plushy spider is Adorable!!
Completely terrified of spiders, but addicted to this channel! If all spiders looked like Chai, I might not be so scared! She's so cute!
Too cute!! ❤ Chai is just beautiful.
Chai is so cute! I would love to have one just like her!
That editing transition was so cool lol
Literally a dream to own a jumper 😍 chai is so adorable btw!!!!!
They are just sooo cute 🥺 my first (unwanted) jumper eggsac just hatched today and the babies are SO tiny. The species is much smaller and I'm not looking forward them getting more active, moving them will be hell 😵
Moving them active and warm mid day was easier for me then when they were sleepy in the evenings and were slow as mud. 🤷♀️ they took too long when sleepy lol
You’ve helped me greatly with getting over my fear of arachnids! ❤️ Chai is so adorable! 🥺 thanks so much for posting!!
Now to wait for number 5.
😅
Tip, if you are going to use a double sided razor, put some tape on the side you are holding, better safe than sorry if it slips.
Chai is GORGEOUS! OOSH!
I can't wait to get a jumper, they are so CUTE!
Aww Chai has such a cute face. Just can't believe she had four egg sacks. All those cute babies 😻
I somehow missed your notification and I’m late 😪 congratulations on more babies!!!!!!
I feel like you need a cartoon version of you for new merch. It'd be so cute!❤
These babies are so cute! My jumping spiders just came out of the sac. I caught the mother from around my house, so I released all the babies outside in save areas. I kept one 🥰
OMG I couldn't breathe while you were trying to feed Chai! I was so worried she wouldn't take it!!
I know I’ve told you before but I need to say it again….thank you for your videos and helping me with my fear…I actually found a little wolf spider in my house yesterday and I moved her outside…that was the biggest thing for me…so thanks for your videos🖤🕷
Omg Chai is such a cutie I have to get a jumping spider now
Welll alll the you tubers I follow YOUR gonna be the one to actually make me sign up for tik tok 🥰 ..I’m ok with that lol love watching you!! 😊💕
When I was younger my parents surprised me with a male tarantulas and his named was Taz but sadly he passed away when I was my 20's and now I'm 40 years old and I miss him so much.
Hey Kat! I cannot wait to get a jumping sweetheart. Don't worry about the mess, it's what we come for :P
Hold on gotta pause the video so I can find you on TikTok lmao
Chai! Could I please have your autograph? *presents tiny paper and pen* jumping mom of the year!
I am currently nursemaid to my jumper Natasha’s third egg sac which came to me as a gravid female from Micro Wilderness a couple months ago. I also have a free roaming cellar spider in my kitchen that is my friend but who refuses food that I give her and only eats what naturally gets caught by her. She’s too “good” for my bribes. 😒
@tarantula Kat BC of you I am finally losing my fear of spider. Baby step tho. So far baby jumping spiders r my jam lol I willing held one that was hanging on top of my garbage can lol she was so small and so cute and so curious! I fell in love. I so get it now!
Jumping spiders are so cute
You're awesome Kat! 🕷❤👍🌹🕸
Did you check out the study they did with jumping spiders on little treadmills? Awesome results showing how awesome they are at detecting biological movement!
Omg she's so gourgeous I wish I could own my very own spiders, but I'm just worried that I'm not up to the task at the moment n such 😅
One of my jumpers has now had 3 eggsacks. And my other mama has had 2. I've become a professional baby caretaker. I literally feed and water 103 babies every other day 😅🙄
My first sac had 150+ and now I’m on sac three. I feel like I’m a nursemaid to these little predators now too.
@@Noodleandthepoodles 🤣🤣🤣🤣 me too! I had probably 150 babies, but initially a lot of them kept passing away or being eaten by their siblings. I'm still waiting on the 5th eggsack to bust out some babies. The only terrible part of this whole experience are the fruit flies. I hate fruit flies so much
Chai is the CUTEST mama ever! 💖
Lots of jumpy 😃
Chai is so CUTE
omg no thnk you with the brown recluse!!! i love jumping spiders though!! lol
OMG! I have TWO nests FULL OF BABIES of cellar spiders! I just posted this on Facebook!
Screams in spongebob
They’re everywhere!!! EVERYWHERE!!!
My jumping spider Cinnamon laid an egg sack a couple of weeks after I got her so we are waiting to see if we actually get any babies😊
There was once a brown recluse spider in my bathroom at home in the tissue
Get some carving or cut resistant gloves. I have some and you can slice a razor blade while wearing them and they protect you and after a few minutes you do not know you are wearing them. Then the wowsers will shut up. I have never kept small spiders but have hand fed one a fly (in the wild)
Terrified of spiders but somehow jumping spiders are really cute. I would never touch one but I believe one could grow on me 😊
Love this type of content. How’s your day?
She don’t want you bro
@@ttinyt1 ohhhh yeaaa your that kid that’s plays fortnite!
@@kyle5346 never played fortnite in my life
@@ttinyt1 okay tiktoker

@@kyle5346 I love that these 4th grade insults are your go-to’s. Maybe one day you’ll surpass a 3rd grade reading level and come up with something original
Hahaha, wondered where that intro was going...
I'd love to see more videos about the brown recluse. Aren't they poisonous, more so than the black widow? I think it would be great to do some more videos about them, educate people about more "scary" arachnids and help lessen that fear of our lovely little eight legged friends.
I have a whole playlist :)
@@tarantulakat Yay! Can't believe I didn't see it, definitely going to check it out
Would love to have a jumping spider.

I'm a Texan and brown recluses are nightmare stuff hahaha

Pretty Cool n Cute Kat!
