Post that backside Z vs Cover 3. Make that FS and DC choose if that deep safety is going to pickup the Cross or will they let you complete the Cross from the hash to the sideline. If they chase it, throw the backside post Keep up the great work Coach!
Coach do you see a lot of Quarters coverage where you are? If you do, have you ever worked this with playside 2 on a deep out route like Leach used to do? This occupies a Quarters safety and keeps him from interfering with either 1's route or the cross route. With 2 on a 5 yard out vs a Quarters safety, that frees him up to either help on 1, or interfere with the cross. With 2 on the deep out vs Quarters, it forces 1 on 1 matchups with the CB on 1, the safety on 2, and hopefully the cross is quasi-uncovered or completely uncovered as the cross is a good route against Quarters. It's then the QB just taking his pick between those 3 routes. As an added bonus, a Quarters safety will most likely be taking the deep out with inside leverage, so if your QB can get it out there, the deep out has winning leverage.
So we have not but we are working on running our sail route which is like the deep out, but also then working on #1 running a post. So would cause a deep rub and put that safety in a tough spot on the fly. Thanks coach for that! 💪🏼
@CoachMitchJohnson Awesome, man! Definitely like the post with it there, turns it into kind of a Scissors combo. The post would be good too against Quarters when it's the 2 Read coverage variation that everyone seems to like these days as many guys have their CB in outside leverage on 1. Thanks for making content, look forward to many more videos from you

Ever put play side #2 on a whip instead of speed out? Might look like mesh at first.
@@RyanTJohnson that’s a great thought! I might have to study that
@@CoachMitchJohnson especially if you teach under and over the backers from the other side!
