Thanks for being the way you are. I have severe depression, my dream was always to be a musician or an actor, but my parents sent me to medical school to fulfill their frustrated wishes. Obviously I never became a doctor because of the pain that came with thinking that I was going to spend my whole life doing what I didn't like. Now I'm 27 and I feel like my time to be happy is over, but videos like this one do me good, because I know someone else does and enjoys what they love. And he also shares it with the world, it is a great gift.
You got this fam, I'm 26 and living simple, my parents dont agree with much I do because I don't do the typical 9-5 , retirement etc(not that that's bad I just don't do it) type of life but it's okay, not everyone is going to live the same way. playing the guitar is really soothing for me as well and learning new lessons like this one. speak like to yourself and make time to do things that make your heart happy and if you start feel like you're wasting time, remind yourself you're not. tomorrow doesn't exist until it is today so don't worry about tomorrow. be aware of today , be kind to your heart , and give yourself grace
Dude! Maybe it’s because of my own taste in music, but i gotta let you know that this video is the most valuable guitar lesson that i’ve seen on RUclips. All of the info is applicable and improved my playing right away! Thanks for all you do
man great!! i’m not the best technical teacher but i just know these chords are definitely my “go-to’s”. nail these, and you can play SO many R&B songs and even sauce up other genres.
dude i've been getting into neo soul guitar and i was looking for a video exactly like this all day but all the videos seem so advanced and not that widely applicable. i just wanna learn the basics for now, and this video is perfect for that, so thank u very much!
I have no reason to be here, as I do not have a guitar nor do I know how to play a guitar. HOWEVER, I’m here for you joe. I’m finna learn something today. I absolutely love your tutorials 👏🏽😘
have you ever thought about covering "you" by lloyd ft lil wayne? not even 2 minutes into the video and that gmaj7 you played reminded me of his verse and chorus. your rasp and depth are a perfect fit for a slower rendition. also, thank you for this video. the backdrop is vibbeess!
Thank you for making this video, Joseph. Do you have a video explaining how to do the pull offs and hammer ons? Could you break it down for a beginner guitarist? I love that sound. Peace and blessings to you and your family.
Random but I was looking into getting the A7Siii strictly based off your videos 🤣 I was wondering if you ever looked into or considered the FX3 and if so why’d you go with the A7Siii instead? Aside from that… thank you for your music, your videos, and all the game you give I really appreciate it.
@@MilesRyanHarris i preferred to have a viewfinder because i like taking pics too. but now that i have a fujifilm dedicated for taking photos, i kinda wish i still had my fx3 lol
This video made ms realize that my overthinking the fretboard is holding me back. I try to learn the name of every shape and chord instead of making music
RUclips recommended this to me for reasons unknown. Who are you and how in the heck can you have eight hundred forty nine thousand subscribers with such rough presentation? Three minutes in I feel as if you've outstayed your welcome by two minutes fifty nine seconds.
lol lame. i have this many followers because i perform. i do these tutorials because followers ask for em. i’m not trying to be the best guitar teacher on youtube. idc about it. just teaching people what i know. go learn from someone else if you don’t like it. quite simple.

you can absolutely do what you like, this is your life and it can only depend on yourself
When you are older, you will regret thinking that 27 was too old to follow your dreams
