That scene with Lizzie and the governor at about 24:40 is hilarious. Lizzie became very anxious about being down to her last pair of undies for the week when she was told she would receive a visit from the parole board. Thankfully Mrs Davidson gave Lizzie some advice about hand washing her undies in the hope that they will be dry the following day. Given this advice, Lizzie apologizes to the Governor when she abruptly rushes off to attend to this task. Mrs Davidson was very understanding.
It’s shocking how feminine and pretty Bryant looked when released in 1981. She made an effort with her hair. A year later, she looks like such a slob and those lumberjack shirts!
Wow Margo really knows how to drive well. Sorry to laugh, but that guy reading the paper and crossing the road, he wasn't like a rabbit caught in the headlights and froze. He saw and heard a speeding car and decided to walk into the middle of the road and throw himself at the car 😂😂😂.
24:13 Lizzie: "Oh I didn't put him up to that, that was his idea" - LOL, classic Lizzie. And then having to rush off to wash her undies for the doctor's visit. Oh man I will miss her when she leaves.
"Repaired Ventilator" Lizzie's hilarious...Something cute about Penny, hope she doesn't become an arsehat...Meg has taken on just about every role going.
@@spectrumlocalb191 Actually she wasn't. She did the entire run but was in a total of 669 episodes. aLSO TWO EXTRAS DID THE ENTIRE RUN, BUT WEREN'T IN EVERY EPISODE.
It makes me laugh prisoner. A prisoner can walk out the gates with just a hat or some glasses with a visitors pass and the guards dont reconise the prisoner however Morris can spot its margo from a window looking right across the street ya gotta love the ridiculousness of cell block h 😄😄
Are we SERIOUSLY expected to believe that Meg could carry on with her job with a criminal record, and at the same prison? I know it's the 80s but come on!
I am sort of chlostrophobic.I hate being closed in small places, and when we have a lot of people over at our home for parties. I get nervous and have to leave the room. Plus I hate elevators
that sounds like ur claustrophobic AND agoraphobic ... claustrophobia fear of enclosed spaces, agoraphobia fear of wide open places and/or crowds Sheri451. i have both and am a psychologist and criminal psychologist
How ironic for Margo - after all that driving like a complete idiot (when she could have driven calmly and gotten much further) she's actually telling the police the truth when she says that bloke just ran out in front of her (and then sat on the bonnet of her car and did a backwards roll 😆).

First, I am endlessly fascinated by the way Australians are portrayed here as being so anti-convict, especially when it is historically accurate to say that Australia was first settled by convict, and who have a complete convict stock. Second, Meg should be arrested and sentenced for aiding and abetting since she failed to report Doreen when she escaped with that young boy. Third, Judy (and before her Karen Travers) proves that a convict should never be put in charge of a halfway house since they are so easily manipulated by the THOUGHT that if they turn away even an escapee for fear of being a 'lagger'.
That's really unethical - the nutty Nurse sharing confidential info about another Prisoner. The Department should just lay on coffee mornings purely for Chrissie and Neil, so they can have a good old tete-a-tete. Margo creases me right up. She never cracks a smile.
Judy helps out escapee Margo with some cash....then Tony gives money to Maxine, who's about to skip bail. What kind of halfway house are they running, anyway?? Reply
Maxine goes to Tony for advice with a problem. He advises her to go to the cops. To lag. Against her boyfriend. Judy wouldn't hire the highly qualified, highly compassionate Meg but Tony gets the job. Smh.
Meg refusing to answer the question was rather silly and unrealistic. Can't believe she would put the house's best interests ahead of her own during something as important as a court hearing. There is always a catch with that ridiculous parole board. Lizzie is more than capable of looking after herself at the halfway house and doesn't need to go in an old peoples home. Its not as if she would be on her own at the house, far from it in fact. They must use their precious power unnecessarily to control peoples lives. We can only let you out on our terms......... I bet they have no life of their own so they try and spoils that of others in order to compensate.
Ahh Common Chrissie & her mini-dress... Amazing that she gets away with that... And the Nurse haz a problem with sex workers... Doesn't bode well for Chrissie I think... Meg being inside makes no sense but she's too right about Margo never taking responsibility for anything...
artistic license tis one thing but 1. megs car not having a single mark on it after a hit and run? hitting a human causes as much damage as hitting a roo! and 2. bea saying... Mrs. Powell (to Chrissie) - "A male nurse turns up, and you get everything but leprosy".
LOL
I know she can be a bitch when she wants, but you've got to love Coleen's one liners!
The look of glee on Lizzie's face when the doc reels off everything that's wrong with her - "gaw, that sounds good!" - priceless
Love the way Meg stands up to Gaffney. I've had all I can take of Margo, always finding a way to blame others for her own actions.
Look at the hold up when Wayne and that other idiot were killed. She blamed the cops, Meg & Davo! She never takes blame for anything she does.
