  • Plantains are a versatile and starchy or sweet fruit closely related to bananas, known for their elongated shape and firm texture. While they resemble bananas, they are typically larger and have a less sweet flavor. Plantains can be enjoyed at different stages of ripeness, with green plantains being starchy and used for savory dishes, and yellow or black plantains being sweeter and suitable for both savory and sweet preparations. They are a staple in many cuisines worldwide, prized for their ability to be boiled, fried, baked, or grilled, offering a delicious and satisfying addition to various meals.

I know this is an old video, but I bought a plantain and came straight to your videos to find a recipe. Planrains are now my favorite. I tried all these combinations. Love it with a small sprinkle of powdered sugar (my daughter's idea) 😊

can you please remove the stickers off the plantain skins..(in case this is going into a compost) ((which I would expect from a vegan))
