daaamn that vocal director is making me amazed in so many ways. when he made yewon sing the ballad and put emotions in it, just wow. a voice can actually change with some techniques. he ain't playing and that job surely ain't for nothing. it's like he's the finishing touch. he adds flavour.
I think she is thoroughly enjoying this experience of being in a girl group again i many ways and it shows in how she is so excited and how she loves to take care of folks. She seems genuinely nice. They need to have her as a guest on 2 Days 1 Night sometime. She seems like she would be a lot of fun on there. Maybe he episode could revolve around trot music.
Hong Jinyoung living vitamin, she's so adorably caring and loving, hilarious and cheerful, one look at her and i'm all smiley no matter how bad my mood is 😂 They are all so great and inspiring, i will cry if this show ever ends
You can definitely see why the PD's cast her as her experience and age helps bridge the gap between the two young girl group singers and the three older inexperienced singers. She is the member that can cross over into both worlds and she is someone who seems to always be cheerful and can help pick up a member whose ego has maybe been bruised by the pros they must work with. Plus she's really gifted at variety shows, she's funny, knows how to be cute or sexy, and is good at lightening the mood much like Sook.
When Mr serious was trying to boost Somi's mood he was actually serious still, so I thought her mood isn't going to change. But, then when he suddenly walked back in and started dance his famous dance moves I was like this is it this is why I like him 🕺🏻He's so caring even though it's embarrassing for him to do silly things. In the previous episodes of Sister's Slam Dunk when they first introduced Mr. Serious I stated that I want him to find someone who's like him and be happy and get married. Yoozina Maharjan well they weren't " bouncing off her head ", you can see she was trying really hard to focus and get it right but that day was clearly just not for her and since her craft and experience is in acting, it makes sense her head takes a longer time to wrap round things unlike Minzy, Somi and Jinyoung who are experienced singers
Felt bad for chaeyeon because this is her first time doing something like this so she didn't understand what they were saying. She did her best tho and so did everyone else

I keep like repeating this series for two years now. Hahahaha. but every time I reached this episode, 25:21 really motivates me so much. Han Chaeyoung is not a singer but the fact that she keeps on doing it for the sake of the show and she managed to finally, bend her notes, makes me feel proud of her! It's not impossible to do something which is not part of our routine. We can do it if we have enough practice and keep on learning to improve :)
Chaeyoung's nails had minions on them!!! Also, Jinyoung slayed the recording and her personality is very funny and refreshing. It was hilarious when Mr. Serious said she was going to break the table from hitting it.
It's 2022 and I'm marathoning Sister's Slamdunk S1 & S2. I swear, whenever UNNIES have performances, I can't help but clap my hands after even if I am just watching on my phone. Knowing what the members went through to be able to perform like that makes me amazed and feel so proud of them. And when Minzy sang the Shut up R&B version, wow, goosebumps..
Being a Blackjack I started watching this show on RUclips for Minzy but have fallen for Yewon. Her struggles, her accomplishments, her hard work from just episode 1 to this episode. Cant wait to finish the rest of the season to see how far she gets and if she gains her confidence to sing opera again because in those early clips she has an amazing voice.
Well two off them are old enough to be her mother, and three are old enough to be her aunts, so it isn't too surprising. Plus she seems really sweet. I like that there have been occassional shots where you can see her and Minzy have become quite close. You can tell Minzy sees herself at Somi's age through Somi and Somi clearly looks up to her. It's probably good for both of them.
Minzy is so good because she was under the dictator YG (I mean that he always demands perfection from his trainees and stars...not that he's mean and evil...I love YGE). All YG stars are like that even after they leave YG. That training is now a part of her life. I love seeing how much she's grown!!

its so sweet how encouraging both jinyoung and jinkyung were with chaeyoung. honestly that's the best part of this show, just how unabashedly supportive they are of each other. i can't wait for the next episode!
you can really see in this episode that everyone of them got super close to each other, the producer, voice director, vocal trainer,choreographers and the hosts. unlike the previous episodes, they are more closer here. i love their bond
Once again thank you KBS for the translations. I am loving this season more than the 1st one. While I loved season ones cast this one just feels more complete. Each one has their own story and a purpose for doing the show. Somi is so damn adorable, really wan to see Yewon overcome her fears and kick ass on the song, Sook is just as hilarious as ever and so is Jinkyung, Minzy just a fantastic singer and great mentor for them, and what can you say about Jinyoung? She's my favorite. She's hilarious in her own right. Love her facial expressions, quirky attitude, great voice and so beautiful
If you love this show another site also subs this show faster they always have the subs out by Sunday GMT so if you would like to watch the show sooner you should go to websites like ondemandkorea or kshow123 they have it out the quickest , episode 11 should be subbed by the end of this Sunday.
Zoujie Chen I will check it out but since it is a KBS show a nd they sub I like to watch it here do they get credit for it so they keep on subbing not only this show but others that I watch. though I will check out those sites for other shows that aren't subbed by their stations
I usually watch the raws then the subs on the site and then watch it again here just because since the episode is subbed by two different teams there could be things subbed in one translation that wasn't subbed in the other like when Jinyoung was talking about her hardships in the other subs they subbed a caption that says that they cut out a part that was too tragic to air while for the subs here they left it out.
Yea I have noticed that some people sub the captions. I really like that cause it adds to the show. Think I'll go to those sites and watch it all over again just to see the differences

But then if there was no backlash against them from that disabled person himself...sadly we cannot say anything but assume it was genuine, no matter how salty we are. Tbh I thought the same too; their performance lacked finesse even if it was an emotional song, it was boring, and only the history and appearance of the disabled managed to add that extra finesse and emotion to the song. That disabled man actually did better than those two in my opinion; the other two were just talented but not good singers

Bringing the diabled guy was quite underhanded. Even if he didn't sing well people would still vote that way just to because of the situation. it shouldn't have been allowed into the competition. They should have had a section at the end of the show where they sang with him.
Yeah although the disabled guy was an incredible singer it still feels wrong like how contestants in Got Talent shows has a more likely chance to get a golden buzzer .
Really late reply but yeah I completely agree. If they removed the disabled guy or did it with a regular guy, the performance wouldn't have the same impact and would have a lower score. It's like you make a regular painting and then put it in a beautiful and eye-catching frame, the painting seems so valuable now because of the frame. Good for the guy that he was able to sing onstage but they're clearly using his disability as clout, and of course it would be controversial if they didn't make them win because you know, society. They really locked it in tbh.
Any else notice the dead air/awkward silence in between the cut away from the group dance and back to jinkyung singing and a flashback cut to when she was trying to get on the composer's good side? Like around 39:48 and it ends at 43:33 , usually they would have at least some type of background sound emphasizing how troubling she might have felt and also the feeling of achievement from jinyoung but it sounded like just the raw audio...
I love Jinyoung. She’s like a living vitamin, and she’s very familiar to me because I have a friend just like her and i’m so thankful for that. Her name is Naomi, she cares for all of us in our class, she’s always enthusiastic, and sometimes she’ll just have a laughing spree for no reason. I love her so much and she’s one of my best friends. 💕

Hong Jinyoung and Kim Jongmin are my two favorite variety people who I can watch all day.People perceive both of them as kinda dumb because of the way they act but I think how intelligent and witty they are even if Jongmin can be stupid sometimes XD They seriously are so energizing I just love them both so much!!! Please support them and our cutie Yewonie too she is improving I am so happy to see that!
The music director was too hard on Chaeyoung. That was her first time recording, she barely understood a single thing about singing. He should have softened his words. I understand his perfectionism but there's no need to judge her as if she's a veteran singer who forgot how to sing. And please use less metaphor, comparing singing techniques to fruit? Are people like Sook or Jinkyung who are not professional singers supposed to understand that? He's a great producer, I see, but he needs to learn a different way to communicate to different kind of people
using metaphors like music to how you feel when you eat a food makes it really easy to like visualize and know how to do something with lots of feeling. he was a little harsh on chaeyoung, but what he really wants for her is to feel what other people would feel when listening to the song. it does actually help to be a bit harsh at times, but as a perfectionist as well, i might be a little insensitive to how other people feel

When I first watched season 2, I wasn't sure if I live this one. But wow, now I'm looking for every new episode and repeat the old ones. Never thought that they have such great chemistry together. I like that there have been occassional shots where you can see her and Minzy have become quite close. You can tell Minzy sees herself at Somi's age through Somi and Somi clearly looks up to her. It's probably good for both of them.

Minzy is so good because she was under the dictator YG (I mean that he always demands perfection from his trainees and stars...not that he's mean and evil...I love YGE). All YG stars are like that even after they leave YG. That training is now a part of her life. I love seeing how much she's grown!!

you can really see in this episode that everyone of them got super close to each other, the producer, voice director, vocal trainer,choreographers and the hosts. unlike the previous episodes, they are more closer here. i love their bond
Once again thank you KBS for the translations. I am loving this season more than the 1st one. While I loved season ones cast this one just feels more complete. Each one has their own story and a purpose for doing the show. Somi is so damn adorable, really wan to see Yewon overcome her fears and kick ass on the song, Sook is just as hilarious as ever and so is Jinkyung, Minzy just a fantastic singer and great mentor for them, and what can you say about Jinyoung? She's my favorite. She's hilarious in her own right. Love her facial expressions, quirky attitude, great voice and so beautiful
If you love this show another site also subs this show faster they always have the subs out by Sunday GMT so if you would like to watch the show sooner you should go to websites like ondemandkorea or kshow123 they have it out the quickest , episode 11 should be subbed by the end of this Sunday.
Zoujie Chen I will check it out but since it is a KBS show a nd they sub I like to watch it here do they get credit for it so they keep on subbing not only this show but others that I watch. though I will check out those sites for other shows that aren't subbed by their stations
I usually watch the raws then the subs on the site and then watch it again here just because since the episode is subbed by two different teams there could be things subbed in one translation that wasn't subbed in the other like when Jinyoung was talking about her hardships in the other subs they subbed a caption that says that they cut out a part that was too tragic to air while for the subs here they left it out.
Yea I have noticed that some people sub the captions. I really like that cause it adds to the show. Think I'll go to those sites and watch it all over again just to see the differences

But then if there was no backlash against them from that disabled person himself...sadly we cannot say anything but assume it was genuine, no matter how salty we are. Tbh I thought the same too; their performance lacked finesse even if it was an emotional song, it was boring, and only the history and appearance of the disabled managed to add that extra finesse and emotion to the song. That disabled man actually did better than those two in my opinion; the other two were just talented but not good singers
I'm glad that the members really care for each other, I'm so touched when they helped Chaeyoung, because they knew that she lacks experience.

Bringing the diabled guy was quite underhanded. Even if he didn't sing well people would still vote that way just to because of the situation. it shouldn't have been allowed into the competition. They should have had a section at the end of the show where they sang with him.

Really late reply but yeah I completely agree. If they removed the disabled guy or did it with a regular guy, the performance wouldn't have the same impact and would have a lower score. It's like you make a regular painting and then put it in a beautiful and eye-catching frame, the painting seems so valuable now because of the frame. Good for the guy that he was able to sing onstage but they're clearly using his disability as clout, and of course it would be controversial if they didn't make them win because you know, society. They really locked it in tbh.

Any else notice the dead air/awkward silence in between the cut away from the group dance and back to jinkyung singing and a flashback cut to when she was trying to get on the composer's good side? Like around 39:48 and it ends at 43:33 , usually they would have at least some type of background sound emphasizing how troubling she might have felt and also the feeling of achievement from jinyoung but it sounded like just the raw audio...

The music director was too hard on Chaeyoung. That was her first time recording, she barely understood a single thing about singing. He should have softened his words. I understand his perfectionism but there's no need to judge her as if she's a veteran singer who forgot how to sing. And please use less metaphor, comparing singing techniques to fruit? Are people like Sook or Jinkyung who are not professional singers supposed to understand that? He's a great producer, I see, but he needs to learn a different way to communicate to different kind of people
