Man oh man. This was right up my alley!!! I do have the OG pressings of Nirvana In Utero and Pearl Jam VS, mainly because the LP's came out a full week earlier than the CD and cassette's and I couldn't wait! So glad I got them, because none of the re-presses sound nearly as great! Next time you're back in LA, we shall spin and crank the OG's! I also love the STP "Core" LP. I picked up the Record Store Day version from several years back. Classic! Good vid, TG! Keep 'em going!
Great video. I was thinking of reducing my collection just for lack of space. These new reissues (even soundtracks reissues) take a lot of space. I will save from that era Porno for Pyros probably. The Albini mix is great, as well as the 20th anniversary (45 rpm / DMM cut). by the way, very sad for the suddenly dead of Mr Albini. He has some great interviews on RUclips regarding in utero and others regarding his recording studio. I'm 50, and I like a lot of these groups but also some pop/electronic from that era.
100%, buddy! Steve Albini was and is a legend. There are so many amazing albums from that time. Maybe one day I will reduce, but for now, it's all staying!
