      Oh, Jeff, if you get a chance, I'd love to see you do turkey (even if it's just a turkey breast) in this puppy later. I'd love to see how it finishes crisping the skin.

    I must say, that I am a person that does extensive research on anything that I invest in. Therefore, when I tell you that you are the BEST REVIEWER that I have ever seen, that is clearly a lot coming from me.
    You did something that most people neglect to do. You showed ( up close step by step ) explaining how EVERY feature worked on this appliance. I greatly appreciated this, because it is slightly difficult for me to see some of the features. I am definitely going to purchase this one because of you. I am also going to subscribe to your videos, ( something ) that I rarely do without further viewing first. I will now be able to operate my ninja as soon as I get it. Thank you for sharing your wonderful video with social media as well as with me. Please continue to post more videos sharing your wonderful recipes indeed.

    OUTSTANDING REVIEW!!!!! You really did the Ninja Foodie above and beyond with your review. Fabulous the way you cooked several different things for demonstrating a lot of its many uses. This machine looks wonderful. I have the Instant Pot and I have two air fryers, so for now will have to pass. My only dislikes would be the air fryer lid is not removable and easily scratching of the lid. Who knows, if they improve, it could be my new appliance in the future and making more room. Thanks so much Jeffery, you are wonderful. Claudia

    You crack me up!! I love your videos. I just received my Ninja Foodi today and was sad that it didn't have the silicone pot holders and the 'back scratchers' Lol. The very first thing I made were hard boiled eggs. I made deviled eggs to go with my dinner. I am 64 years old and have never been able to peel a hard boiled egg without damaging it. The eggs cooked in the Foodi came out perfectly. I peeled them with no effort at all. I'm amazed. Tomorrow morning I will be cooking bacon, eggs and biscuits in the Foodi.

    Hey Jeff thanks for introducing me to the ninja foodi , I just got mine tonight and I was the very first one to get it at Sam’s Club. Came home and cooked some infused chicken thighs with Garlic,rosemary and thyme. And some fingerling potatoes with also rosemary thyme and garlic in the pressure cooker for three minutes then the air fryer for additional 13 minutes and they were crisp and so amazing. I certainly give the ninja foodi five stars. I have a feeling this is going to be very popular!

      An infusion is a liquid but looking past this you can't just dump water and dried spices in a pot, instant, foodie or otherwise and infuse anything, you'll FLAVOR it (poorly) which is starkly different. Take your dried herbs, or better still some fresh ones, chop them and place in a saucepan with a couple of cups of water and gently steep them (just like tea) for an hour or so, strain the solids and use the resulting liquid in your cooker. Don't try making the infusion under pressure as the process will extract all the bitter with the good and taste will suffer. Understanding hydrolysis (how a pressure cooker works), osmosis (how flavors are transferred to a foods interior) and a few Julia Child reruns would help you bunches.

    Great video! My son got me the Emeril Lagasse Pressure Air Fryer Plus for Christmas. It combines the air fryer and pressure cooker as well. It has 3 lids, one for pressure cooking, one for air frying and a glass one for slow cooking, sauteing, boiling, steaming, sous vide and yogurt making. It literally does e everything!! I am so happy with this appliance and use it almost daily. I would love to see you review the Emeril Lagasse Pressure Air Fryer Plus.

    This video was perfect- thank you! You gave three excellent samples and you provided which air fryer function to use for each example- so few instant pot cookbooks do that! After several videos and coming close to boxing it up and returning, you MAY have saved me the trouble. This was a gift, and I still need convincing. It is huge, and seems like a lot of work to save time on most dishes. I hope to learn how to cook large pieces of meat, since wheat fairly clean. I am a bit overwhelmed at the idea of straying from years of tried and true dishes.

    Wow, sounds nice. The only thing I see that I don't care for is that it's not stainless steel. The whole reason I picked the instant pot over the other brands of pressure cooker was that everything that touched the food was stainless steel. No non-stick coating or aluminum. Let us know if you find one of those, please.

    • @Nozoki
      @Nozoki 6 лет назад +2

      It looks like it's a ceramic coating. So no aluminum or teflon touches the food.

    • @g.johnson8690

      Ceramic coating will eventually show signs of wear as Teflon does, depending on the quality of the ceramic product. The main difference is that the ceramic is *supposedly* not toxic as is Teflon. Time will tell.

    • @MrsCheesetoon84
      @MrsCheesetoon84 5 лет назад +2

      Gary Johnson I bought the nonstick ceramic coated pot insert for my Instant Pot about 2 years ago and it’s holding up terrific. Highly recommend it. I haven’t used my stainless pot since. No more sticking.

    • @g.johnson8690
      @g.johnson8690 5 лет назад +1

      Wonderful, but I had a ceramic coated pan in my breadmaker and it eventually peeled and I was always careful with it.. Like I said, longevity depends on the quality of the coating. The fact that your interior has lasted two years means nothing. Talk to me in five years.

    Thank you for this EXCELLENT review. And thank you for listing the drawbacks at the end. They're the very ones I was jotting down as I watched your presentation. To me the yogurt making ability of the IP is an absolute must. Glad you mentioned that at the end. Wow... all I do is pour Fairlife milk in my IP inner pot, put a tbsp starter, hit the yogurt setting and go to bed, waking up the next day to delish yogurt. I also agree w/you about the crisping lid not coming off. I wonder how easy it would be to clean if it's always attached, and I don't like it that it scratches so easy. Anyways... thank you for your most informative review. I'm sharing it with friends who have yet to buy an IP because, as you mentioned, if they do not already have an IP, this unit is worth considering. It's a brilliant idea. The commercials sure are throwing some shade on the IP with the kid using it as a drum to play with at the end of the commercial. Funny and it does get the point across that this Ninja Foodie is going to give IPs a run for their money. :D

    Thank you for talking me into the Ninja Foodi. After watching all your Insta Pot shows, I am so glad I waited until I saw your show on the Ninja Foodi. I watched the Insta Pot vs the Ninja and just loved the simplicity of the program functions of the Ninja vs Insta Pot. The fact that the air fryer stays on is another reason! I hated the taking one lid off and sitting it who knows where and installing the other one. This is March of 2020 and I just bought my Ninja Foodi and am so glad I waited. Keep your Insta Pot.

      Does the basket cause your pot to chip? I see some bad reviews stating so on the Ninja site.

    • @dannyray8188
      @dannyray8188 4 года назад

      @@doreanjean6862 So far I haven't had any problem with my pot chipping but I am sure if someone uses metal utensils that it could happen. Personally, I don't use any metal utensils even in stainless steel pots or pans. Wood or plastic is all I use for everything. Even stainless steel cookware suffers from metal utensils for cooking as they will scratch and become contaminated with various foods or meats.

    Loved your review, I also have both. Thrilled to be the proud owner of both! I absolutely love my 8 quart Ultra Instant Pot, but also love the ability to air fry. I wish the Ninja also looked more sleek and not so cheap, I am not a fan of the plastic. That being said its convenience has earned its place in our Motorhome.

    my 8qt Casori pressure cooker that I loved!!!! got burnt by our rotisserie, needless to say I was devastated to see the damage & wanted to reorder one from Amazon, but then I remembered seeing a tv ad for the airfryer pressure cooker. I got the 8qt with the dehydration setting. That's 3 appliances in one for me. I can't wait to use it,

      if I count the rotisserie that's 4. btw the Casori lid is also always attached. Takes getting used to, but It was awesome.

    WHY DID I JUST WATCH THIS??? Now I want one. I have wanted both an air fryer and instapot and have refrained from purchase because they take up so much room and only do one thing. This is perfect!

    Dude! Your review enabled me to finally order what I “didn’t” know was what I wanted. Thank you! However: the only thing that you didn’t wish was included, was robot arms taking stuff out of it, and serving it to you. Man! Take this from a 75 year old ... thank God it is available and go on with your life!

    Just ordered one of these day. Ordered a 6.5 with dehydrator function and the dehydrator rack....or whatever it's called. Honestly what I am most excited to do is chicken wings. The ones you make at about 15min. in this video make me regret not getting a special wing thing a lot less. I'm excited.

    I just got one for Christmas and tried it last night for the first time. I was intimidated for a while. I made St. Louis sticky ribs. They turned out fabulous. Crispy outer and tender fall off the bone ribs. Sorry I waited 6 weeks to try it. After watching your video I'm dying to try some other recipies. Must mention mine did not come with pan holders or prongs in the box. I'll order on line. Thanks for your video it was great.

    Excellent Video - I purchased mine at Kohls - although it was more expensive - signed hubby up for store credit card - got 35% off plus Kohls cash etc paid around $120 with tax and got more Kohls cash!! ...... it was worth it..... never used any of the other products.... So - Your video is helping me learn how to use this fantastic product..... I just hope I don't break it!! LoL Thanks again for your video!! Don't let the price discourage ya - Use promotion and sales to get the best deal... :) Mare

    I knew this day would come. The moment men would start cooking (and helping around the house) often, kitchen appliances would develop a lot to make them washable, faster, less messier and hands free...

    Thanks for the great demo of an interesting appliance. A few comments : 1) the air fryer lid always has to be standing there even if not in use ? Ackward ! 2) You say you can check the air frying status but you have to wait how long for the lid to cool before opening ? 3) Do you need to clean the air fryer lid and how ?

      Autumn N Yes, I also find the air fryer lid standing whiles the pressure cooking lid is on very clumsy and awkward! I think it should be one lid at a time.

    Instapot has a air fryer lid for 2020. And its detachable, so that may be an option, compared to the big ninja, but the ninja does have some nice features. Tks for the presentation, love all your videos.

    Great video, Jeff. Thank you! Very honest and objective. I'm on the fence. Love my 2 IP's, but this thing is a game changer, as you said...my problem is kitchen configuration and space...limited counter space and not sure that Foodi stationary lid is going to open under my cabinets. with the IP, I can turn it at angle on the counter to deal with the cabinets. I'm hoping I can do the same with the Foodi. If I get the Foodi, someone in the family will inherit one of my IP's...Thanks again for the review...very helpful...Love your channel and all of your awesome recipes...Keep up the great work.
