- Sitting and staring at my sofa, I did not like the legs that came with it. The one I wanted was out of stock, and it would be a while before they get more. I needed a sofa, this one had the look I wanted but the legs was not. Being the Interior designer that I think that I am decided to order some legs and make the sofa look like the one I wanted.

This was the best tutorial I’ve ever seen. I hate seeing other videos where they cut out the parts where they get frustrated. It seems so superficial. This is exactly how I feel during projects like this and I’m so glad to have found this channel. Much love 💜💜💜

God bless you for your tenacity and persistence. Mid-Century Modern is my favorite style of furniture, but original pieces are as expensive as a car. I think you truly nailed it, or drilled it. The sofa looks awesome with its new legs.

Oh wait you made new 4 new holes for the legs? You go girl!!
My sofa legs were 2" short & round. I thought I could change to 5" square solid legs. Those were too thick to fit where the round legs had been. Re-ordered
5" round legs (that I don't like but they fit in the space). I laughed hearing you curse, because that was me too trying to put that plate on! I. don't have the larger drill bits so I couldn't enlarge that hole. I flipped the brackets and that took me forever!! Aaargh!! I kept losing screws. I burned off the head of one screw trying so hard to get it straight into the plastic type wood. Ugh! I did a half-a**ed job but now I can get up from my taller sofa. Thank you for showing us how you did this! I wish I'd done my homework before buying the legs.

I have no idea how to take mine off. My couch has those triangle legs too.
@@isaiahevans7754 let me review the video it’s been a while. I’m trying to remember I use a screwdriver. The screw is all the way up in the bottom just ran the screwdriver up through those holes and then unscrew the legs. Hope that helps.
I ordered legs similar from Amazon, but sent them back. My couch was wobbling. So I went and purchased different style & it worked out better.
Glad you were able to find ones that worked for you. So far no problems, it seems sturdy. 🙂

This is the only video I could find that is using the same brackets I have. Was there a metal screw hole where you’re drilling? I need help!!!😩😩
@@ElizabethRobinson-i7f no, I just thrilled into the bottom and then put that metal piece in the hole so I can attach the legs to it. Please don’t forget to subscribe hopefully you’ll be able to get your project done.
I had them on my couch couldn't handle the wait and one whole side just bend lol

@@pdubstuffI literally bought a new loveseat yesterday and didn’t even bother putting those big blocky triangle legs on when I got it in the house I sat on the floor and ordered MCM legs off Amazon. They’re supposed to be delivered today so I came to RUclips to see if I could find a tutorial while I wait and lo and behold the legs I’m waiting on are the EXACT legs you have here, same brand and everything! Thank you you’re an angel for posting this! I hope I can do it!
@@pdubstuffUPDATE - I had to go out and buy a 1/2” drill bit but after that the rest was smooth sailing because I watched your video twice.
Be careful whoever tries this tho because at one point the dust cover under the loveseat got caught up in the drill bit and ripped all to hell. Scared me but it’s towards the back where no one will see it anyway.
How have these legs held up over the past two years since you posted this?
