This messy script stencil isn't available in the UK so I have designed a series of my own using "stacked journaling" - I have yet to cut and test them.
I laughed out loud when you explained about your mum’s favourite cereal bowl! Quite a lot of my kitchen stuff seems to have ended up in the studio. I lost my rolling pin for ages and a friend bought me a new one. Then I found the original one in my felt making box! I’ve taken a leaf out of your book and taken my silicone pastry brush up there as well! My hubby used to be terrible for pinching stuff from the kitchen out into the garage. When we were first married, I had a running battle with him over this. I drew the line at him pinching my measuring jug to drain sump oil into!!! After a while he did learn the lesson. Much more recently, I bought a high-end set of fabulous kitchen knives (my pride and joy - I adore chopping!) and caught him about to open a parcel with one of them. I managed to stop him in time and tell him this was Absolutely Verboten!! I told him I did not want an innocent kitchen knife to end up in a courtroom one day in a bag marked “Exhibit A.” I think he got the “on pain of death” message!
Oh I love the pastry brush!! Now it is the frosting gadget!! haha!

I love the old school ways! Sure there's always all the new stuff we can buy, but it's so fun to make something yourself without buying a new gadget to add to the clutter we already have. I buy the things I need, but I love making my own paper, or using "tools" from my kitchen, back yard or shed. Thank you so much. I am new to your channel and I'm really enjoying your style, and enjoying your creations.If we wanted the circles to last a bit longer, we could use plastic lids from food containers. Oh my gosh, you live in New Zealand?? It's the one place I'd love to go visit. I'm in the USA.

I'm glad you showed the bowl technique. I'm always using stuff like that. I use plastic knives instead of palette knives, etc. If it ends up in art, who cares?
