Thank you for your interest and I trust that you enjoy my other contributions. I have certainly enjoyed the excellent trips organised by R.T.C. and Travel Pals (Delhi). - Best wishes for 2018. JMW
Very poetic Charlie. In fact I don't recall having a drink of tea but we did watch the tea leaf picking and drying process. Another world! I hope that you will enjoy my other films too. _ Sincerely JMW
I LIVE IN SOUTHEASTERN USA, NEAR MOBILE AL. I NEVER KNEW SUCH REMOTENESS COULD HAVE SUCH BEAUTY AND COLORFUL PEOPLE. THEY ALL APPEAR TO BE SO PEACEFUL. HOW DO THEY GET FOOD, POWER, MEDICINE...SO REMOTE. HOW DO THESE FOLKS MAKE A LIVING? WHAT CAN THEY GROW TO FEED THEIR FAMILIES?
I agree with you Sir. That is what attracts me to the country. Even though mainstream India is thrusting forward as a 21st Century nation. it is underpinned by humbler folk, content with their lot. It is important, however, that such folk are not exploited whilst others flourish. These comments seem to me to apply equally to rural China. Have a look at some of my films of that great country. ~ Thank you for your comments.
I understand that when they was new the B class engines could pull four passenger coaches but now due to their old age they are only allowed to pull two passenger coaches?
The state of the track may also be an issue. I have seen a number of low speed derailments. The coaches then have to be jacked back onto the rails by whatever manpower is available. ~ A unique railway.
NICE, My lovely Darjeeling
Very informative, exquisite scenery, and an excellent history lesson.

Beautiful. I would love to sometime see, stopping for a tea. Enjoying the spirit of the village and having a tea. This is absolutely beautiful.
