Aww! Well, thank you so much! It just often seems like people want to see what I'm up to, so I thought I'd make some videos showing exactly how I build the songs. And also provide a bit of a recipe for anyone else who wants to loop this song. :)
Love the innovation...This is educational and musically awesome...We were away for a few weeks but couldn't wait to play this on return..Way to go Cat..and Darren..
I've got eagle eyes... but mainly because I'm a big fan of flipping hair (and hair flips) Thanks for letting us in to your studio to see how you put things together. looks like a fun little toy!
Hey Bruce! Welcome to my studio! The hair flips might be a little out of hand, but I gotta be me! (Apparently "me" includes just so so much hair flipping...)
Thanks dude! I've been having a lot of fun with my loop station! If you liked this video, maybe you'll like some of the other ones I've made with the same tools. :) Are you a looper too? One-being-bands unite! Haha!
Cat Jahnke I'll have a look through your works for sure. Haha well I mess around with my RC a fair bit but I've recently been searching for inspiration to properly execute a decent loop. So kudos!
This is an interesting experiment. I'm a newcomer to your work which I enjoy -- but a fan for years of Annie Lennox so inclined to favour her version on this one …. However it's great to experience your entering the "groove and thump" arena. I'd love to hear more of your own work along those lines as well as your "folky" productions!!!! All the best, Philippa Steel PS: Don't understand "loop station": what makes it different from an ordinary video and how does it relate to being a real rockstar???
Hi Philippa! The application I'm using on my iPad is called Loopy HD. It's a program that allows me to record little bits of music and then "loop" them so I can add texture and instrumentation and harmonies. And it makes me feel like a rockstar because I generally sing softer songs and this has so much fun energy! Hopefully you'll noodle around my RUclips channel and find some other music that tickles your fancy! xo
Thanks Devin! I feel like there's still a lot to learn! :) But I have fun with the app and I love that I can connect all my instruments and make them all play nice together. Stay tuned for some more looping videos in the coming weeks!
I didn't notice the hair flip! I was paying more attention to the fact that you seemed to be singing without an earpiece/monitor, especially when there weren't any reference notes in the background yet. Or were they sneakily hidden away, too? Well done!
Well, you were the first to notice that I WROTE about the hair flip. :) And if you look closely at my left ear, you will see the monitor tucked safely inside. Haha!
AHA!! You did have a secret monitor! Well regardless, you sounded great, and I loved your project. My sons love that song (because it was in Tron: Legacy), so I'll be sharing your video with them too.
You have a nice voice
Cat doesn't have to pretend to be a rock star...she's the real deal !
Amazing
Cool 🎶🎤😘
Very cool experiment! And cool to see it done live.
I love looping music and you've done it wonderfully!

You rock so much I can't even! Fangirling right now but you deserve it! ⚠️❣👏🎼🎶🎵
My love, you are wonderful. Thank you for putting a big smile on my face!! ❤️❤️
Great job. Your voice fits both the slower songs as well as the faster ones. But that exactly what I would expect from such a talented lady.
Well, thank you very much! I always have a blast performing this song and I think you can tell. Haha!
Nice! Have you transitioned to Loopy pro and has it made the arrangement easier?
Yes!! Another great song. Love the rock and thump you give it.
Thanks Paula! I gotta take the rock and thump wherever I can find it. Haha!
Great job! 👏👏👏
Thank you Lia! Sending you out some happy vibes! 🤗🤗🤗

She's always in my heart. :)
Another one I love Cat!!! When you get a moment Barb and I want to have you guys over!
Thanks Chris! It seems I'm either out on the road or cocooned in the studio! Haha. Say hi to Barb for me! :)
Will do, when we get a chance to steal you supper is on us!

Cat Jahnke awesome. I used to use this app often but sort of forgot about it. I’m excited to try some again. And can’t wait for more videos from you
One thing I noticed is missing from this channel is some version of Better. It would probably work well on the looper, eh? (nudge nudge) :)
It does! (Wink wink) Stay tuned... :)
