Where is the footage of John Coltrane himself, performing this album?

Beautiful indeed, love the sound, but a little scholastic for a national orchestra don't you think ? Very different from the french purpose of the ONJ. And I'm gonna ask a stupid question : is everybody white in Montreal ? Warned you...

yellow submarimba Hi! No question is ever stupid, don't worry. No, Montreal is actually the most culturally diverse city in Canada, you can see people of all colors and origins here. However, most jazz musicians are indeed white! Having played this arrangement, I find it pretty good for my part. It has all the original elements of Coltrane's tune, but with soli's (that are actually transcribed Coltrane licks) to have more interraction and make everything more interesting

It all depends on the mission of an organisation. Montreal's NJO's one is to commission new pieces as well as present orchestral (jazz) music of all ages and origins. Check out our RUclips channel : ruclips.net/channel/UC_9cI5po2D7yqlqn8UDQKqA

BLACK PEOPLE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO LEARN MUSIC ANYMORE

You mean black players would make the performance 'authentic' ?! (I have heard that from some 'fraud-of-a-musician' who were black)
