This type of video is my favorite. You have a particular skill in verbalizing what you’re feeling/experiencing/intuiting and there are so many valuable tidbits of information hidden in your rambling.
On the Bullet - lean into how it’s actually flying here and don’t get hung up on what you’re thinking it should do. Same can apply to any disc. These are 3 that have all battled it out for this spot in my bag too 👍🏻
If you like it, I would really suggest the eclipse plastic in Proxy. I used to putt and throw wardens, for 6 years, proxy eclipse won me over 5 months ago as a throwing putter. It's amazing ❤
I have 2 bullets and a proxy. The apex bullet doesn’t feel great in the hand but the glow bullet is great and flies more understable. The proxy has a weird stability to it like you alluded to. To me it is dead straight until you hit a certain speed then it is flippy. It’s not a consistent amount of flip through each speed of throw it’s more sudden. That’s my only issue with it.
The bullet flies neutral/angle dependant as a throwing putter. The numbers were based on putting as opposed to throwing. Reset your preconceptions and watch it blossom 🌸 The bullet is physically smaller in diameter which changes the way the momentum transfer feels when it's thrown. There's less of a feeling of release because the mass is more concentrated
I'm with you about throwing the same mold as you putt with. I use electron proxy for putt and eclipse for throwing. I also throw a neutron soft envy (which i believe has the same core mold as the proxy). so between those 3 discs I'm covered within 200ish feet. Proxy is incredible for a straight thrower though, I much prefer the envy for forehand and hyzer shots out of the rough.
I switched from proxies to Logics when the KK Cosmic Fury (premium logic) came out and I agree they are money. More stable than a proxy and super neutral. Amazing in the woods! My proxies were a touch too flippy.
I putt with a bullet and use it for up shots. When it flips to flat it’s all glide. Never had it dump on me. Would love to see u actually putt with it. I also throw it in the firm royal plastic. Gets a slight bit tackier over time.
Have you ever thrown a Westside Maiden? It's shallow, handles torque well and goes every bit as far as a Pure. Slightly stable in premium plastic and slightly flippy in base plastic. Awesome disc! I've been going on and off between Ohm and Proxy, not quite being able to pick a favourite but Maiden kicked both from my bag.
I have an eternal plastic Bullet that is by far my favorite thrower. The only problem is you can barely find them in this plastic. Keep in mind the bullet is a speed 2, I find it fly's dead straight at medium power. I pair it with a glow Envy to make a lethal combo
I got wicked lucky and discovered Mint right before they released the first run eternal bullets. Ordered a matching pair and wow they are such good throwing putters. I’m not almost afraid to throw them because the nocturnal, apex and swirly apex don’t come close to the feel and flight of eternal.
When you’re trying out putting putters make sure to try the Kasaplast Reko in K3 plastic. Similar feel to a pure (better in my opinion) and more stable.
I had similar issues with my putters as you describe the pure. I landed on the innova firefly, not because of how it felt, but how it always flew no matter what I did. It doesn’t flip or do anything dramatic. It did what I told it to do and it improved my putting a TON. 10/10 recommend the nexus firefly.
I’d love to see you try the Reko X sometime! I putt and throw with them they start fairly stable but break in super nice ! Continue to love your content have loved to see your channel continuing to succeed and do better and better!
I somehow missed you reviewing my favorite throwing putter atm. Apex bullets are great. Extremely point and shoot. If I had to throw a proxy it would be an eclipse proxy. Have not thrown a total eclipse proxy though. It was a little wider rimmed than I like. The ohm is excellent if you want a straight and torque resistant. I ultimately find the bullet the most versatile until I’d like something over stable.
This is gonna be a pretty random suggestion but I have been putting with pures and throwing pures for a while and I LOVE them but recently I’ve been trying out a RPM ruru and it’s basically what you described it’s just a smidge deeper and a smidge more stable but it does have a microbead which for me seems to help it come out of my hand cleaner. Holla at your boy tyee! It may not be exactly what you want in the hand feel department but I’d love to see you try it out and give it a shot
Anthony, you may have thrown it before, but i would love to see a video on the Birdie Marvel! I was just like you, in that I started with a more understable putter, but as I got better, struggled to use it with the amount of spin I was using and with the precision needed for release angle as you mentioned. Then to my surprise, i started using the Marvel as my throwing putter too and woah! It is amazing!
I dialed in my throwing putters last year and settled on 2 proxy’s (one is glow) 1 envy, and an ESP Luna. I kept the Luna because they’re my putting putters and super comfortable for 150ft shots that need to feel like putts almost? Don’t know if that really makes sense haha. But the proxy is my workhorse. It’s amazing.
Have you tried the Innova invader? I've been using a luster champion one as my main throwing putter for 2 seasons now and I love it. Flies super straight and can take quite a bit of torque too. Bought a dx one recently to beat up into a more flippy one.
I don't think he likes beads on putters. But I kinda agree, he either needs something with a bead or something a little deeper like a p2. If he just stuck with it for like a month he might love them
My first putter which I am bagging is a Pure. I just threw some MVP discs out of the gyropalooza. They felt great and putted well in windy conditions. Will keep the Pure in the bag, just in case.
How about trying the Pa3 both for throwing and putting, i put witht the 300 soft Pa3, and throw 400 glow glimmer Pa3 The Archer, pretty similar to my olf proxy throw wise.
Maybe check out the shield for putting putters. I also love it for throwing since it's dead straight flight, with a slight stable finish. But it is a little more stable than the pure, and the zero soft plastic is choice and feels super similar to my pure. I think it would be great for feeling similar to the pures, but being a little more stable for putting.
Have you thrown the cosmic fuury? Ive been throwing mine since they were released. It still flies like itndid out of the box. So straight with a slight finish at lower speeds and just straight at full power.
My neutron Proxy just holds angles for me with minimal flipup so it’s great for straight pushing throws. But for approaches I throw a beat in pa3 because it will flip easily and is more forgiving if I get my angle wrong
I would check out the MVP Atom and the Discmania P1 in this series! The Atom is slept on and flies like a slightly more stable Pure. The P1 is not as deep as a P2 and has a really neutral flight. If you want either mold to review hmu!
I aced with my glow proxy today. It became my best putting putter first, and I can’t deny how much better I am with it. Twicers luck, bounced a nomad out of the basket… Dudes yelled thricers luck at me… And my third throw went straight into a moving ford rangers grill. You def have to shank 1/3 lol
This video was at one point me - Battling out between the pure, proxy, and some others in that spot. I now putt with pures and throw the proxy. I can get so many flights out of the proxy its wonderful and super reliable!
On your note about the psychology of why you sometimes do better with the disc you don't like. I don't do RUclips reviews but I do like to pit discs against each other for 9 hole rounds. I've found the disc I don't like I don't care about what happens with the throw. For me, that results in me being more relaxed than I expect and smoothing the shots. I might hate the hand feel but every shot comes out great lol. Might be the same with you? Also, I highly recommend the Judge (if you like beads) or Warden (same disc, no bead). It's a touch deeper and has that stability you are looking for but feels really great for us baby handed people!
i just realized by bracing my shoulder it keeps the disc from coming too close to my chest.. its like how the handle of a whip is long and stiff. when we throw we know to be loose BUT if youre loose with your throwing shoulder your shoulder will push itself into your chest and that brings the disc too close to your chest and we know the disc needs room to work.. just like a whips handle your shoulder needs to be stiff or "braced" and when i did that finally it all came together.. so in a nut shell entire bodies loose but your shoulder is strong.. truly amazing!
I’ve got two electron envy’s and as a beginner hopefully breaking into intermediate level they are my most used disc, I approach with them I hardly ever use my mids. and I putt with them. With enough spin they are bullets to put with
I putt with pures but definitely have a proxy and glitch in my bag for throwing putters. What do you think about Axioms harder plastics vs their soft or glow?
I love the Envy as well. I found a soft Envy and brand new was laser straight. After a couple weeks it’s perfect for all angles shots. I have an over stable envy and a soft envy to cover all my throwing putter shots. Only bad thing is it goes farther than most throwing putters, but who would complain about a disc going too far 😂
If you want a more over stable throwing putter the DGA Breaker is the way to go. Its a shallower flat putter and for me probably the best feeling putter. I prefer the proline flex swirl ones but others feel good too.
This course is actually fairly hard for a little 9 hole. I threw a +13 at a glow round right after they moved the baskets to the positions, they're in now. The OB/hazard there has big sharp teeth.
Weird thing I've found with pures for putting is that the Eco pures feel a little bit deeper than any others. They're a little firm, but they feel awesome.
Funny I went the opposite way. I can push proxies out a little further but personally prefer that more rounded edge of bullets/praxis for the woods, especially on anny flicks
Proxy's are great, but MVP has a whole host of super great putters. The Ohm is $$ and the Watt is right there with it for glide. The Electron Envy is incredible with -1 turn as well.
XT Bullfrog is an awesome putter off the tee and to putt with. Not much glide at all, but it’s the perfect stability for spin putts. You can just absolutely jam it.
It’s not an MVP mold but you should try out the P model US in duraflex or proflex from Prodigy! Starts out straight to slightly stable but beats into a super straight/understable putter that GOES!!
I feel like I've gone through a similar process before. My bag is literally 50% putters cause I don't want to remove all the putters. Envy is my go to though. For putting putters, my friend recently sent me a few discs and one was a Wizard in a base plastic and it's pretty money.
You should have thrown a watt into the mix. This was a cool video because I’ve went between proxy, bullet and pure 😊 the Watt is still in the air for me but the proxy is in the bag for me.
Putting with the Pure taught me that I liked a faster, less chunky putter. I landed on the Tomb for now bc it’s a similar size and cuts the air like a Pure but is more overstable.
I'm surprised you didn't try to keep the px3 (iron stone), it's replacing my throwing envy for a throwing putter... The Cosmic Fury is also a fun throwing putter... If you want a more stable putting putter there is always the Nomad
Reviews are back baby!!
Have you tried the Supreme Judge? I think you would love it as a puttning putter.
@@Onlinusbut it’s beaded…
Have you ever tried using a P2 for putting? I used to be strictly pure and I recently switched and it has been a great decision.
Try the logic or rainmaker from discmania logic is a flipper putter but i like it for longer putts
Halo Mako 3 .. doesnt beat in too much.. perfect!
I hope MVP sponsors you so that we can have the two best disc golf vloggers on the same team.
Dang, my guy. The grind is real, and i respect the dedication! So much content!

Love my eclipse proxy! It glows it the daylight sometimes under shaded spots!
My buddy who has 11 Aces loves that disc as well as the Opto plastic Pure
I have 2 bullets and a proxy. The apex bullet doesn’t feel great in the hand but the glow bullet is great and flies more understable. The proxy has a weird stability to it like you alluded to. I switched from proxies to Logics when the KK Cosmic Fury (premium logic) came out and I agree they are money. More stable than a proxy and super neutral. Amazing in the woods! My proxies were a touch too flippy.
Luna is all I use. Flies forever and depending on plastic will hold lines really well.
Might be worth trying the Lasso from Mint
Try a tomb from infinite in the concrete plastic. It deserves a run at this slot for ya
I putt with a bullet and use it for up shots. When it flips to flat it’s all glide. Never had it dump on me. Would love to see u actually putt with it. I also throw it in the firm royal plastic. Gets a slight bit tackier over time.
Surely MVP reaches out for a sponsorship 👀
Suuuuureeellly
Hopefully. Anthony has been grinding his ass off
Should we all read out to them together and get the ball rolling or what
♾👀♾👀
He doesn't want to be sponsored, he'd be too restricted in how he puts out content, or sells discs. Infinite would be his best match for now.
Have you ever thrown a Westside Maiden? It's shallow, handles torque well and goes every bit as far as a Pure. Slightly stable in premium plastic and slightly flippy in base plastic. Awesome disc! I love the proxy, but I really love the proxys they ran with glow rims and plates (gyropalooza 22)
Glow bullet is SO good if you want a touch more over stable version.
When you’re trying out putting putters make sure to try the Kasaplast Reko in K3 plastic. Similar feel to a pure (better in my opinion) and more stable.
Definitely try the Pilot as putting putters. I keep trying different ones but always go back to the Pilot in the end. Love that disc.
I used to put with the proxy, now I use it as throwing putter. The soft roach is an excellent putting putter
I’d love to see you try the Reko X sometime! I putt and throw with them they start fairly stable but break in super nice ! Continue to love your content have loved to see your channel continuing to succeed and do better and better!
A clean true flyer in my bag is the Latitude 64 Mercy. Once beat in, it's super straight. I also recommend the DD Warden or the Streamline Pilot.
Opto Mercy is awesome!
I somehow missed you reviewing my favorite throwing putter atm. Apex bullets are great. Extremely point and shoot. If I had to throw a proxy it would be an eclipse proxy. I putt with a challenger and I've never looked back. Use to use a judge. And I still bag pures for throwing and straddle putts
Try the Reko from Kastaplast. The K3 is their baseline and they have K1 for premium and K1 Soft for gummy premium. Good thrower and putter.
If you're looking at the Proxy, you REALLY should check out the Watt. It's even more neutral than the Proxy - so great.
yeah I didn't like it crazy! def solid, but I prefer the little bit straighter flight when thrown flat of the proxy
Proxy more neutral than the watt. Proxy straightest thing out there
You have to try an TSA Praxis in the ethos plastic, its perfect
You’ve definitely been talking to MVP. Congratulations on all your success bro keep it going.
Have you tried the Innova invader? I've been using a luster champion one as my main throwing putter for 2 seasons now and I love it. Flies super straight and can take quite a bit of torque too. Bought a dx one recently to beat up into a more flippy one.

I throw and putt with the mint bullet

My favorite throwing putter is the Tomb. Available in so many plastics. Straight to stable. Tomb gang.
Proxy is my go to throwing putter as well. The eclipse ones are a little more stable but I can really hammer it and goes so far
I grabbed a blue bonnet from lonestar not expecting to love it but it's now my favorite putting putter
On your note about the psychology of why you sometimes do better with the disc you don't like. I don't do RUclips reviews but I do like to pit discs against each other for 9 hole rounds. Have you tried a sss wizard as a putting putter? I used one for the first time this year and I think I might switch from the PA-3 to them.
Great video. How are you griping throwing putters when driving off the tee?
You should try the pilot (streamline) ohm (mvp)
i just realized by bracing my shoulder it keeps the disc from coming too close to my chest.. its like how the handle of a whip is long and stiff. when we throw we know to be loose BUT if youre loose with your throwing shoulder your shoulder will push itself into your chest and that brings the disc too close to your chest and we know the disc needs room to work.. just like a whips handle your shoulder needs to be stiff or "braced" and when i did that finally it all came together.. so in a nut shell entire bodies loose but your shoulder is strong.. truly amazing!
Form looks sweet dude. That work with Drew is paying off
InnerCore as your understable putter! Mine loves to just hold the turn line and never come out.
The dog cameo on your #9 putt was hilarious!
I’ve got two electron envy’s and as a beginner hopefully breaking into intermediate level they are my most used disc, I approach with them I hardly ever use my mids. and I putt with them. With enough spin they are bullets to put with

How is it t-shirt weather when its snow on the ground.. im confused.
Have you tried the watt you might like that better
You should try out the Viking Discs Ground Rune, it is the best feeling and most consistently flying disc that I have ever thrown.
I heard dry dock was leaving that location soon. Did they say anything to you about that and what might happne to the course?
you made me sad... but thanks for the question because that brewery and 9 hole course are both solid af
not sure honestly
Proxy is the best option..different plastic is key I bag neutron, eclipse, and electron,
This course is actually fairly hard for a little 9 hole. I threw a +13 at a glow round right after they moved the baskets to the positions, they're in now. The OB/hazard there has big sharp teeth.
I just went to a streamline pilots. Good depth, good flight, and grippy in electron soft. Good putting putter
Weird thing I've found with pures for putting is that the Eco pures feel a little bit deeper than any others. They're a little firm, but they feel awesome.
Opposite for me lol I have been a Proxy thrower but I like the way the Pure feels, fills up my hand a little more.
Try the kastaplast reko for putting!!
I play this one all the time, anything staked as orange plays as hazard so the way you did it on hole 1 with the proxy was correct!
I love the jokeri! If you haven’t tried it you should!!
I replaced the bullet in my bag for the soft proxy this year and I did love the bullet, but the proxy is just so good.
Funny I went the opposite way. I can push proxies out a little further but personally prefer that more rounded edge of bullets/praxis for the woods, especially on anny flicks
You should do a putting completion with different putters. Encourage you to try the Maiden. Awesome for baby hands.
if you like the maiden, try the prodigy Pa-5 as understable putter. Same depth and feel (bt-medium for my maidens, 300 plastic for the Pa-5)
Proxy has been my go to putter for about 6 months now!
Try the sense faith by latitude, such a great putter
Proxy's are great, but MVP has a whole host of super great putters. The Ohm is $$ and the Watt is right there with it for glide. The Electron Envy is incredible with -1 turn as well.
Watt is magical
Yeah the Watt is my fave
XT Bullfrog is an awesome putter off the tee and to putt with.
Not much glide at all, but it’s the perfect stability for spin putts. You can just absolutely jam it.
Anthony try the P model it’s like a pure but a tiny bit deeper
Also, I employ you to throw Eldritch proton plastic 🙌
Honestly, pretty much any plastic it’s the best putter on the market. In my opinion.
Try the tomb. The recent run of concrete ones are money
Pixel is a shallower P2 you say? Sold. Depth is the one thing keeping me from putting with the P2, love everything else about it.
It’s not an MVP mold but you should try out the P model US in duraflex or proflex from Prodigy! Starts out straight to slightly stable but beats into a super straight/understable putter that GOES!!
It’s all basically the same thing one has colored rims and the other doesn’t
Have you thought about trying the discmania sensei? It’s one of the most reliable putters for me
2021 TS Luna - no other year- try it
I feel like I've gone through a similar process before.
I used to putt with pure, then I switch to K3 rekos. If I wanted a bit more stability I'd go PA-3.
Putting with the Pure taught me that I liked a faster, less chunky putter. I landed on the Tomb for now bc it’s a similar size and cuts the air like a Pure but is more overstable.
Check out the Penny Putter from Lonestar! Fantastic putter!!!
The Latitude 64 Hope is a bit more stable and a little slower than the pure, but has quite a close hand feel. Try it out!😁
I put with the MVP Anode. It glides nicely.
The moment you said, the pixel was a shallow P2 I got chills man
I'm surprised you didn't try to keep the px3 (iron stone), it's replacing my throwing envy for a throwing putter... The Cosmic Fury is also a fun throwing putter... If you want a more stable putting putter there is always the Nomad
you should try the spin for your understable putter slot, that your eco pure used to be in.
I can’t stand the rounded inner rim. The flight is pretty good tho.
I putt with and throw the judge. Curious if you've thrown it and what your thoughts are.
You’ve got to try putting with the Reko from Kastaplast.
When did Calvin say that? His bag is full of mold minimalism. Some of his most thrown discs are super beat in.
Try the watt… it has surprisingly taken over my neutral/understable throwing putter. Check drew Gibsons video on it posted recently
I bag a proxy, but my biggest issue with it is I can throw it as far as my hexes. So i started bagging a watt, and I use that WAY more often.
Also for a putting putter look at the nomad. Was p2 esque but shallower to me
They're kind of deep but the electron spin is awesome
