I totally agree heat shrink is the way to go. Nice clean look. Congrats on the weight loss. Never easy to do but keep going you’ll get there. I think KETO is the way to go. Enjoy your day sir 🇺🇸🏁🦍
im fixin to install a similar head unit, I havent soldered in YEARS. I'm also making sure to take notes about hooking up the unit in-general for my own toyota based car. Thanks for sharing this, I have a decent iron, still worth the notes, for sure! edit: i appreciate those who say "you can do it this way, but this other way is the 'proper' way". I love clean work, and 'proper' ways, that way if someone has to go behind me, or issues arise, its easier to troubleshoot myself or another to do what they need to since my work doesn't complicate their own
Nice work with the wiring! I thought I was comfortable with the way I did high end big sound, but I leaned a couple of tips here! GREAT coaching on the weight loss as well. Many of us are in a place we don't want to be in... I'm ~300 at 6-2... I'm in Texas, so my weekness is tortillas and cheesy breads, and BRISKET. Stay with it. Don't beat yourself up AT ALL about a couple of day cheat. Just be ready to focus on day 3 to get back at it. I'm with you broh, gotta shed some lbs... makes us quicker in the 1/4 Mile too!!
Great instructional video! I appreciate your honesty regarding your weight loss Brother! Progress is progress keep pushing forward and you will get there... 💯👊🏾
A chisel tip works better for soldeing wires like that, it will help do it quicker. When you're using the helping hands, you can shrink a few layers of sleeving over the teeth on it so the teeth won't sink into the hot wire insulation. Very clear video though!

Also using ruby allows the solder to flow really fast and smooth. It's always good to take some alcohol or acetone to clean the excess Flux off
Good job 👍
Using ruby Flux works wonders when soldering
What is wrap tight tape?
I was wondering the same and looked it up, looks like it’s called wire loom harness tape.
