Like u said, it looks dire then it's hopeful--pretty much defining the show. Despite being bloody and all, this show somehow gives me more peace of mind and joy.

Its been years since I watched the first episode of demon slayer and wow it is WAY more impactful than I remember. It's no wonder I got so pulled into the show... Reading the comments here make me so happy 😭 Your community is so nice! I 100% agree with those saying that even though demon slayer has a relatively simplistic plot, it is very impactful & wholesome and I wish I could read the manga again or watch everything animated without any prior knowledge. It's gonna get crazy and sad and funny :') I hope you guys continue enjoying the show! Lots of amazing moments to witness in the near future ^^

Yay!!! Super happy y’all have already started Demon Slayer too. I love the characters in this series a lot, very classic feel to them in a refreshing way. Tanjiro is such a kind boy, smart too. And Giyu cares a lot, though he’s harsh here. But as you noted, he’s trying to inspire him to fight back and survive. Giyu has been through many harsh things himself. Nezuko is amazing as well, to have the resolve to fight through her new instincts to stand against Giyu for her brother. Can’t wait to see the next one with you guys!

Wow, nuts! Today I discovered KIMETSU NO YAIBA a.k.a. Demon Slayer. I knew nothing about this except that my cousin Matt likes the manga and its called Demon Slayer. He recommended me to just watch the anime. My reaction after not properly watching this anime episode 1 and losing interest at halfway this morning and switching it off.. ..my reaction on giving it another try at night because I woke up and couldn't sleep - the second half of episode 1, I was like "Holy Shit" + *jaw drop*. Now I'm subscribing to the rest of Season 1 of Demon Slayer :P

FinalIy!!! love it😆 I recommend the anime movie "Your Name" to the two of you. I feel like my world has expanded after watching this work. I love "Attack on Titan", but "Your name" is also a great work.
Is it just me, or do you laugh at the scene where Tanjiro finds his dead family while watching reactions to this anime, due to the reactors being so drawn to the family. And then just watching their faces while the family is found dead. I'm surprised that more experienced reactors don't even suspect that the family will die, due to how dark anime can be! I just re-read this, and I noticed that I sound insane from laughing at a child's family being brutally murdered.
keep in mind this show is pretty much a tragedy. not that its sad all the time but most of the characters we meet both demons and slayers are victims in some way.
IMO demon slayere is just hype, the only cool thing about this is the animation. Story is mid and very typical anime trope. Season 1 is fine, but season 2 got me annoyed asf, Season 3 looking pretty good so far. This is good tho for people fresh into anime.
Watch it in ENGLISH!!! why is that so hard for people! Some anime have shit dubs, like Cardcaptor Sakura and Pretear, but Demon Slayer is one of the good ones! And yet, hardly any RUclipsr's watch it in english! And if they do accidentally put on a dub episode, they start insulting it!
We're new to anime so we've been taking suggestions from our viewers. Just figured to watch it as intended. Funny you say that though, we do re-watch the episode in English before taping the next one... What other anime are good in English dub?
Demon slayer in eng dub sounds like any other normal show doesn't feel that emotions into it(well not my most of all viewers opinion) eng dub tanjiro sounds like a anxious brat instead of a mature kid, Inosuke as a 5 years old instead of a wild man, Hashiras as middle aged 40 yrs old man, Zenitsu sounds ok but still most of the time his voice sounds hilarious in original but in english that sounds a normal Voice or serious voice...u get it ?, it doesn't sounds like a scaredy cat...when some hype moments came in same it doesn't hit hard in those, Eng dub here feels like forced emotions instead of natural like Jap...I understand they improved as the episodes go on but still it doesn't hit much harder like Sub version ...with no disrespect to Eng VA's I'd suggest not watching demonSlayer in dub ...❤
Super shoutout to genyu, for setting up😢 this entire series. If it was the wind hashira? nezuko dead, tanjiro dead, probably their entire family dead, just because they came within range of a demon. Genyu the boss. He gives the MC a chance.

IMO demon slayere is just hype, the only cool thing about this is the animation. Story is mid and very typical anime trope. Season 1 is fine, but season 2 got me annoyed asf, Season 3 looking pretty good so far.
This is good tho for people fresh into anime.
The visuals are pretty sick...must say. Too early for us to judge but so far so good. If it's good for beginners...then it's perfect for us 🙌🏾
Watch it in ENGLISH!!! why is that so hard for people! Some anime have shit dubs, like Cardcaptor Sakura and Pretear, but Demon Slayer is one of the good ones! And yet, hardly any RUclipsr's watch it in english! And if they do accidentally put on a dub episode, they start insulting it!
We're new to anime so we've been taking suggestions from our viewers. Just figured to watch it as intended. Funny you say that though, we do re-watch the episode in English before taping the next one...
What other anime are good in English dub?
Demon slayer in eng dub sounds like any other normal show doesn't feel that emotions into it(well not my most of all viewers opinion) eng dub tanjiro sounds like a anxious brat instead of a mature kid, Inosuke as a 5 years old instead of a wild man, Hashiras as middle aged 40 yrs old man, Zenitsu sounds ok but still most of the time his voice sounds hilarious in original but in english that sounds a normal Voice or serious voice...u get it ?, it doesn't sounds like a scaredy cat...when some hype moments came in same it doesn't hit hard in those, Eng dub here feels like forced emotions instead of natural like Jap...I understand they improved as the episodes go on but still it doesn't hit much harder like Sub version ...with no disrespect to Eng VA's I'd suggest not watching demonSlayer in dub ...❤
Super shoutout to genyu, for setting up😢 this entire series. If it was the wind hashira? nezuko dead, tanjiro dead, probably their entire family dead, just because they came within range of a demon. Genyu the boss. He gives the MC a chance.
