not a spoiler, like I said before Muzan is at least a 1000 years old remember? his dad just shares traits of the ones before him, he said *I will make sure to PASS DOWN the Kagura dance and the earrings* so he has nothing to do with Muzan because he is simply "too young" :)

Rui as a villain was really well done. Specially the voice actor did a great job. There are other villains in the series but I always liked this one.
Hinokami literally translate as The god of sun/fire, the Japanese version of the manga purposefully using phenetic spelling (katakana) to wrote it, because the "hi" can means sun and fire. And kagura means "the joy of god" it's an actual ritual dance performed til this day.

@@rasna2212 I guess because it’s assumed that the technique is to do with fire. It’s only revealed to be “Sun” later on, hence why the word is written in katakana at first, then later is kanji

Y’all finally saw it the hinokami had me in my feelings one the best scenes in anime I’ve ever seen
"Hinokami" means Fire God and "Kagura" is a dance for offering/praise. so it basically means "Dance of the Fire God"
Isn't the translation technically closer to "Sun god"?
@@willdubois Sun is "Taiyo," Fire is "Hino" it still works, since "flame breathing should never be referred to as fire breathing"
This is my favorite episode of any anime ever. The way the desperation and the fear dvolves into this gorgeous animation, combined with this beautiful music AND the emotional moment of Nezuko using her technique for the first time (and speaking! kinda) is absolute peak!
There are a lot more beautiful episodes in Demon Slayer, but this is truly my favorite. Glad you liked it!

She's my favorite character in this show even tho she dosnt get much screen time. The strength to not turn full demon alone is insane. If tanjiro special then so is Nezzy

His father wasnt a demonslayer, but the family has been practicing one of the breathing styles for 400 years. One of Tanjiros ancestors got saved by a demonslayer and memorized the breathing techniques and it got passed down through the generations, without them even knowing about demons. Those earrings were passed down aswell and gifted to the ancestor by that demonslayer.
Just wait... this was the moment the series just absolutely took off for me. I enjoyed it up until this point, but once I saw this, I became legit obsessed

Same here. I took a long break between ep12 and the end of the first season and was glad I finished. Just started Mugen train a few months ago (Luckily avoided all spoilers) and it immediately sucked me back into the series. Then finished Season 3 along with everyone else. I'm so hyped for what's next !
Even if Rui successfully enslave Nezuko to himself,still build a relationship with her as a new sister is impossible.Rui try build relationship through terror and brute force while Tanjiro,aside of HE and Nezuko are biological siblings,His relationship with her is made of love,respect and caring.that’s a big difference...everybody wants Tanjiro to be their brother.

Ok so now that you're slowly reaching the end of S1 - I'd just like to tell you how to proceed with the Movie and S2 and whatnot. You might know me from several other Comments in the past year, but just believe me that I know how and what to do when it comes to Anime/Manga :D Demon Slayer was actually one of the first Shows to put one Arc into a Movie in between regular Series, Attack on Titan for Example caught on to that Success and did sorta the same thing^^ JJK followed and also did one of their regular Arcs as a Movie, I believe you'll reach that point pretty soon, too :D Just know that Demon Slayer actually started this Trend and that you therefore should watch the Movie before starting S2 ! Anime Movies in Shounen Series have always been Non-Canon in the Past, but Demon Slayer paved the Way for the Concept of putting short Arcs into a Movie to sorta change it up a little. S2 and the Movie are kind of overlapping when it comes to their Content, but you're supposed to do the Movie first ;)

The animation for this season fight is nothing compared to the entertainment district art animation. That fight scene is a masterpiece and one of the best animated fights I have ever seen to this day.

He’s not stronger than tanjiro at all, he’s very weak, the most he could defeat was a bear. The show and manga explain on and on about how frail he is, he was a sickly man with no strength

Any pillars being his mentor? Yeah no. And yet he still able to access transparent world and fight with a frail body. kid go read back the manga.🤣🤣🤣
alas dad wasnt a demon slayer.....tanjiros family have always been charcoal makers......more info comes out s2/s3 etc..but apart from that ep19 was really well done
let them figure it out by themselves . They might expect a plot twist where his dad might go to say demon in night without the knowledge of his family for all they know . So let them figure it out by their own
