Finding an apartment to rent in Hong Kong is tough! As soon as you think you've got a spot locked in, the landlord calls to tell you, "Sorry, but the place is now taken."
With so many of us using the same sites, applying the same filters, and looking for the same conveniences, us residents of Hong Kong have nearly all found ourselves living in one of the same five areas.
In this video, you'll walk through the streets, go into the shops, and go past the markets that sit right outside my studio apartment in Mong Kok, Hong Kong's busiest and most populated residential area.
A few of the places shown include:
    - Argyle St & Yeung Choi St: A street full of shops selling consumer products, cosmetics and discounted books
    - Mongkok Computer Centre: A multiple story market selling all things electronic
    - Portland St: Hong Kong's notorious red-light street
If you live in HK or want to come, let me know where you're most interested in checking out by leaving a comment below.
    Cheers!
    Bo

I can't help but shake this feeling of claustrophobia, looking at those jam packed streets, massive crowds and cage like stacked apartments. Feels like I can't breathe. Singapore feels much more viable as a living destination.

Although what you say is right and to a foreigner this might seem unrealistic. But to the people of Hong Kong well at least to me, The happiness and memories outweigh these negatives and plus, it is what makes our city unique. Although the heat does make me want to cry, Air-Con's and high rise buildings are a familiar and safe feeling.

suggest you can google, plenty of country side and islands to hoop to in hong kong, and macau if you have a day or two. singapore has population restrictions and is smaller in size.

Mongkok is cool, you gotta see goldfish on goldfish street nearby. beware of fire hazard in the sub divided flats though. when there is fire and heavy smoke, you need to find your way up to the roof waiting to be rescued.
