    Heather, you suggested removing commas in the title when you need to add an important keyword. What do you think about removing the space after commas instead? In my opinion, such an approach helps to read the title easier. Do you agree with that?

    Thank you sooo much for this video! I'm new at this and heard that the description should also repeat what was listed in the title. I noticed that you didn't mention that in this video. Is repeating title and keywords in the description still suggested? Thank you!!!!!

    Hi. Great video. I found a couple of low competition niches with very high search volume and extremely low competition but the CTR ID like 1.0%. I am scratching my head over this. I made items in this niche. People click my listings but don't buy. Have you ever experienced this?

    I’m finding this so frustrating! Just starting out and so far I have a really high conversion rate…as high as 50% on one item! But even using adverts I’m not getting more than 1-2 visits a day for each item 🙈 I’ve really worked hard on SEO and pricing using everbee and the research strategies you’ve taught on here. Is it just a waiting game or is there anything else I can do!

    Heather, in 19min 24sec of your video you suggest using all 20 available characters for each tag whenever possible. At the same time, your tags in the sample listing often consist of 10-15 characters. Could you please clarify that?

    Heather, thanks for the GREAT video. I would like to ask you about the Google Competition parameter. On (8min 14sec) you can see that the level of Google Competition is 100% correlated with the Google CPC parameter only, and nothing else. In other words, the more expensive the CPC, the higher level of competition: i.e. ”bride patch” (Etsy SV = 45; Etsy CTR = 9.2%; Google SV = 210; Google CPC = $0.46, and resulting Google Competition = High). Am I right here or I am missing something? Your response will be greatly appreciated.

    I have seen some people avoiding using the same words in titles or tags so that they can have more space for new words. For example you used bride 3-4 times in your title ? Does it make any difference

    • @itsheatherstudio
      @itsheatherstudio  2 года назад +3

      The reason I use bride a few times is for the long-tail keyword phrases. Many search engines pick up on the exact order of the words as well as the different words. It's good to use a mix of words outside of bride but I would not take out 'gift for bride' or 'bride to be' because these are phrases people search and replacing bride with a different word would cancel out the phrase is a search engine, if this makes any sense. I think there is a balance as far as this goes and doing maybe 3 repetitive words at most to get those phrases in is the sweet spot but I personally go as many as 4 because I prioritize the long tail keyword phrases.

  • @theorangehuntress4108

    I'm looking up longtail keywords for my shop in Sales Samurai and most of their CTR, SV, CPC, Etsy and Google competition says N/A. Is that a good sign? Should I use all of those options? Or should I try to have shorter Longtail Keywords? I think my niche could be pretty small, but even the size of that I'm not sure of.

    Is using all 140 characters for your title is not a good idea given a large proportion of shopper are using their phone's making it difficult for them to read. Better is to keep them short enough to read but long enough to inform rather than aiming for 140 characters always

    Why don't you use Sales Samurai’s suggested ‘tags’? I see you use their suggested keywords as your tags.
    Also, what does ‘count’ in the ‘tags’ section mean?

      Sad the question about the count hasn't been answered, I've been wondering that myself.

    Make the title readable for a human. Keyword stuffing of titles is not necessary anymore. Tell the buyer what you are selling In the title, as in "white cotton robe for women, size 8, long sleeve, floor length".
    Titles don't have to be a long string of nonsense; the algorithm pulls apart and rearranges all your phrases anyway. Make the title for the buyer, not a computer.

    • @itsheatherstudio
      @itsheatherstudio  2 года назад +3

      That would be great if the algorithm would allow that, I agree but to be seen on Etsy the platform is not optimized for this. Etsy does rearrange the phrases and if you watched my video in full you’ll see I reference to that the first 4 to 5 words should be the actual item, after that is the other keywords. I think the whole ‘make the title for the buyer, not the computer’ would be great but, again, that’s not how you rank in the search on Etsy. I would suggest sending Etsy an email as your comment is regarding the algorithm in whole. Google SEO and search engine optimization is not geared towards this anymore- it once was a long time ago- and although keyword stuffing is annoying, it’s proven to work🤷🏻‍♀️
