- We return to Attorney Joe and Prosecutor Yusuke as they face off against the additional case made for the game, which is for some unknown reason as long as the main game itself. Will Joe be able to solve the mystery? Does he have the fortitude to carry out all the new mini-games introduced?? Can he withstand the terror of the blue badger??? Find out right now!

Joe Darke's whole "killed a witness then killed a witness to that killing then killed a wi-" bit is just how Joe plays Hitman, idk what he was confused about
Shame.
The absolute best part about it is that he just turns around and turns himself in afterwards.
Think Fargo, Joe
There’s literally a bit during Sapienza just after he killed Caruso where he says “I understand Joe Darke more every day”
i was listening to the vod in the background, flipped back later on and was shocked to find out it wasnt ad libbed by joe
You weren't kidding when you said they made it as long as the main game. Very well. I will go along with this.
They were showing off for the DS release back in the day. It was pretty cool to have the 3D examine
I think the one thing that made Rise from the Ashes so difficult for me to clear was the same rant Joe said about Angel's Oompa Loompa march LMAO. Sometimes you figure something out way ahead of schedule, and you spend the next several sessions of trial trying to bring up a glaring hole in testimony, but it never fucking comes up.
I always find it funny that Perjury isnt even mentioned until the third game when all of the sudden perjury matters
Tbf it’s added complexity, but its addition makes AA3 and Rise from the Ashes the best parts of the original trilogy testimony wise.

"alright, need a smooth cowboy voice, here we go"
GWARSH
When Phoenix and Miles team up to take down suspects its always the hypest shit. Make me wish we got a game where they actually were a team.
Wright and Edgeworth Attorneys at Law would go hard (and they'd be unstoppable)
Great job as usual my mammal
the real inconsistency is in how anyone could use that cramped parking lot
Love how Joe is like "Why is there all this new stuff like rotating 3d models and investigation and clicking on the screen a bunch."
Homie this was a DLC case for a port from the gameboy to the DS, thats why theres a whole lot of new shit. Its also probably the prototype to Apollo Justice in a way as the limited 3d animation is nigh identical and of course, Ema is there.
Bro I had forgotten how accurate the "Chadworth" nickname would end up being.
Like, "Fuck off police chief, you too confessing defendant, I don't care what you have to say."
You losing your mind at 38:50 during angels testimony and predicting the “grudge” is hilarious 🎉😂
40:17 editing is exactly how I imagined somebody would edit his "hooting" sounds. As always, good work on these. Always a blast to re-watch.
I watched all of the VoDs you do a experience cut off.
But this is the best way to re-experience them, without watching them again all the way.
Thanks for the effort.
Damon Gant is probably my favourite Ace Attorney villain overall. Amazing design and his iconic stare is actually pretty terrifying.
Id say his canon voice in my head is something like Captain Qwark from Ratchet and Clank, friendly and presentable but able to be cold when he's serious
6 people, all because of a snail...
Ah the blue badger, nothing triggers my ptsd more than that godforsaken song
Nice, just watched the first episode of this yesterday. Large coincidence that this came out today. Ty for ghe video
Holy mackerel, a 3 hour - no, 4 hour! - supercut for JUST this case? It must be way longer than I remember from back in the day. Your work is appreciated, Walrus!
17:54 excellent confidant edit
lmao, yaoi hands
"the oompaloompa march"
Im stealing this expression - as its fantastic.
OH THANK GOD I was rewatching the old compilation this came just on time
I cant believe joe let a useless pass without brininging up persona 5.
Brilliant video. Would love to see his playthroughs of the second and third games given this treatment if you ever get the chance!
I honestly really like this case in its scale and the antagonist but its definatley got its flaws. Cool to see another perspective on it
This whole video is ONE CASE?!
33:23 This is why Joseph Anderson is pure certified gold.
More please, holy Walrus?
EDIT: Also, that case was rough, logic wise.
2:06:30 Damn, right on point
3:02:54 Everyone's favorite puzzle.
i'm not even at that part of the video and i know what you are talking about because it's the worst on the switch version and i sat there for a LITERAL! hour just trying desperately to line the pixels up until i had to follow a fucking tutorial on it online and even THAT took an extra ten minutes
puzzle from hell. solvable within 1 minute, doable within 1 year
I never understood why people had such a hard time with this puzzle it took me like at most a minute and a half
Love that you released this right after I randomly watched the first one. It's like the algorithm knows
3:40:00 you missed an "I'm a lawyer"
33:25 HOW DOES HE DO IT?????? HOW???????????????????

This case has the second worst case of "well somebody has to go to jail," in the original trilogy.
In sisters, the victim wrote mayas name in blood, and there's no other possible suspect. In samurai, theres a fucking photograph of a man of the defendants build carrying the murder weapon, and he has no alibi. In farewell, the gun has edgeworths fongerprints on it.
In this one... theres one witness who we immediately establish is a liar. We know the victim was in Edgeworths car, but that only proves the killer had access to Edgeworths car, which could be anybody.
The fact she has confessed makes it a little more acceptable, but its still super tenuous.
I love the reveal of the blackmail, lana's motivations actually make perfect sense, but the case generally is just kinda annoying.
what’s the first?
@@williamgilbert4099 the first is the finale of the second game. Day 1, we establish there's no evidence the suspect was present at the time of the crime, that there's at least 1 other suspect, and the other suspect has already proven that she's a liar who has tampered with the crime scene.
We also know that our defendant absolutely was not present for the murder, which makes it more annoying.
Out of the original trilogy? It’s been years so I forget but when does it get bad in the later ones?
No sisters is the worst. No one questions the fact that Mia died "instantly" (yes I know, updated autopsy report) when they say that she's guilty because Maya was written in blood. Not to mention that doesn't mean anything in the first place? It's reaaaaally obvious that the killer himself could have written that and even if it was Mia she could've written that for any number of reasons. It's just moon logic compared to the rest.
Eh, the confession makes it perfectly acceptable to me. Dunno why you say that's tenuous. I've only played this game and half of the second one, but to me Turnabout Samurai was worse. You prove Will Powers couldn't be the murderer at the end of the second day of trial and that proof doesn't get contested at any point afterwards. The case could end right there. Sure, you haven't found the actual murderer yet, but that shouldn't be the job of the defense attorney.
Each time Joe's brain shuts down cuz of bs I smile more.
"Prosecution couldn't care less if it was premeditated" That would change the charges given ffs,
It took until right at the end but the mis-ta-ke joke finally got acknowledged
Edgeworth being pressed is my FAVOURITE THING!! 😆😆😆
Joe is the only man whose joyous laughter can rival Rich Evans from RLM
A fellow RLM fan.
Thank you for the upload!! Love of
This was case made after Trials and Tribulations was realeased. When the trilogy was ported to the ds this case was put in, however it should have been T&T's bonus case instead.
Well, this case was an extra case for the DS American localization of the game. So they wanted to make a case that uses the DS's features, and they made it after the THIRD game so they had a lot more experience with these characters and their setting.
I don’t even know who this stream guy is, but I keep watching anyway 😂
Thank you wise walrus
I guess they knew the other games weren't getting any extra cases, so for their last ever original trilogy case they just made one that's game length. There's some fun stuff in here but it's an exhausting case
Chadworth/Waffles is my OTP
Darkest, most corrupt case. I (re)played it a few days ago. This case has added some more modern mechanisms from further games, but has same very awkward "progress triggers" and

completely did not get the motive of the final villain both in the past events and current events.
Gant did all this to get leverage on Lana and by instating her as Chief Prosecutor, he could get full access of any future cases as he sees fit to manipulate into his favor. Thus furthering his successful reputation. All through blackmailing her with Emma’s possible conviction of murder should she ever disobey his orders.
@@EdgardoJCruz-dk5kv No, murder just to get a blackmail material doesn't make much sense. I think that was other way around. They all got high profile case they had to close, but during itterogation of suspect it was clear that they don't have any evidence to arrest. So when suspect escaped , and Gant found them uncouncious he arranged situation to frame the suspect , and getiing blackmail material and freeing Procecutor job were accidental bonuses. But it wasn't presented that way in the game...
@@rafakruczek5622I disagree. It felt like it was presented in-game pretty clearly as to what Gant’s intentions were. Yeah, a part of the reason he did it was so that he could make the suspect guilty, but it definitely wasn’t an accident that he also blackmailed Lana using it. He saw an opportunity and took it, he tampered with evidence outside of just “moving the bodies around” and he went out of his way to set up failsafes in the event that he got exposed.
Not to mention he also killed Marshall’s brother JUST to get his ways. If he only did it to frame the suspect and nothing else, then it’s slightly less morally incorrect (though he still killed an innocent man just to do that so…) but the way it’s presented in-game (from when Gant explains himself at the end of the case I think?) implies that he was doing it more for the blackmail than actually getting the suspect convicted.
I'm pretty sure Gant also killed Neil as he was desperate to convict Darke (probably bc by Ace Attorney logic they wouldn't have enough evidence for several enough punishment). Like he saw it as necessary sacrifice for greater good. He, in all his twistedness, does seem to genuinely hate criminals and Darke sure needed to be caught and convicted for all his crimes (not that it justified killing Neil). And because Goodman tried to reopen the case he killed him in panic of possibility of being found out, especially since Jake was so determined finding out the truth of his brother's death and wouldn't let go of the case.
Also blackmailing & controlling Lana was likely only another reason for him framing Ema, as him making it seem like Ema killed Neil instead of Darke, chances of people finding out he was true culprit would be smaller.
my personal headcanon was that gant was behind the serial killings, which would fit with the tortured conjecture tying darke to the murders.
Wait what's the joke for Angel Starr's name? When I heard it it just sounded like like an adult film actress' name but nothing beyond that which Jo seems to cotton on to . . .
It is a pron star joke, playing on her being a promiscuous character. It is also a contradiction of her actual personality, since she is a resentful and manipulative person, far from an angel.
YES
ngl, joe dark from hitman being here is great crossover
Well that explains the Joe Darke in Hitman xD
I know the streams are old but I hoped he liked the next game
Why did he find "Angel Starr" funny?
It sounds like a porn name and her personality is pretty much the opposite of an angel, she is very cold and ruthless because of her grudge towards prosecutors
Is there any kind of benefit to setting up a premiere?
As an audience, it feels better to have a video shadowdropped instead of having to wait (or maybe a sense of waiting) for the premiere
I personally prefer having it shadowdropped too, but sometimes I miss new uploads in the middle of my subscriptions. A premiere guarantees that you won't see the thumbnail only on the day the video is uploaded, so it gets harder to miss or forget it. At least that's how I make sense of it =P
there's some fun to having a live chat, but RUclips just doesn't seem to spread it around very well. either way too early or way too late...
In theory, the algorithm favors premiered videos by way of promoting them while they're live and then again after they're fully posted.
@@uchytjes10 don't most people say premiers are far less promoted than most other videos? especially after they finish
@@AttacMage People say a lot of things. Interpreting RUclips's algorithm has more in common with fortune telling than science.

Hope you do the other games too

Oh no... who's gonna tell him?
Wait, Wright gets a waifu? I thought they were both hopeless bachelors?
@@mattymerr701 Third game (Trials and Tribulations) tells more. Don't worry, they're still hopeless bachelors. Just... a bit more hopeless than you once thought.
Since when did Joe have a Lisp?
I first heard it in the Hello Neighbour stream, I could never finish the stream since it was so different to how he sounds in the rest of the games.
I think I remember him saying how he had his mic and audio set up for a while made him sound like he had a lisp
He doesn't even sound like he had a lisp. A lisp is when the person pronounces S and Z sounds as a TH.

This was a case that was added wayyy after the first game came out... And it really shows. Yikes.

Why did Gant kill Neil Marshall again?
Basically he was desperate to get Darke convicted (because apparently there wouldn't have been enough evidence by Ace Attorney logic I guess), so he saw sacrificing him as justified reason. He also framed Ema to both cover his tracks and be able to blackmail & control Lana.
