Diane Szalinski convinces her husband, Wayne, to use his shrink machine to grow her to an incredible size to save their infant son, Adam. Honey, I Blew Up the Kid (1992)
I like how in the middle of everything once Adam is clearly hurt, all the people on the ground stop and acknowledge it like "Did they just hurt that baby? Like, we know he's giant and all and causing a bit of damage but come on"
The helicopter pilot didn’t want to do this, but evil Dr. Hendrickson (who I consider to be an antagonist in this movie) threatened to destroy his career
Ngl, every time I watch this, I get a little emotional when Adam gets hurt. This film wasn't a critical success but it's moments like this that make me realize the filmmakers knew what they were doing in a few moments. Adam is perceived to be a monster when he's rampaging around Las Vegas, and in all honesty, rightfully so. He's a gigantic two-year-old. People have every reason to be afraid of him because he doesn't know what he's doing and doesn't realize the damage he's causing. But when he gets hurt, it's upsetting because it's so undeserved due to his childlike innocence and the fact that it's just downright cruel. Someone else in the comments said it best. The villain could have potentially killed him with that electrical shock and in a way it's almost disturbing knowing that could have happened. I love watching the people look up and realize that Adam is still a baby and it's always heartwarming when his mom comes to the rescue.

I saw this movie with my mom when it came out in 1992 she laughed at the part when Diane said "Back off". Omg the look on Dr. Hendrickson's face that was priceless. Dr. Hendrickson should be ashamed of himself. All he wants the discovery of a lifetime and make himself famous.
They were all freaking out, and rightfully so cause he's huge and is unaware of the damage he is doing. But him crying reminded them that despite that he is a babyzilla, he's still just an innocent baby. And wtf was that missile or whatever gonna do to solve anything? They're lucky he didn't go on a rampage.
