just my personal opinion, but this set to me sacrifices form for function. It still looks pretty good, but given the older audience for a set like this, I would have prefered a set that displayed better without all the technic functionality. More so like brickvault's version. That being said, the functionality on this is SO well done. Hats off to the designer.
Not sure about that. An AFOL here, plus I’m not a fan of Dune- saw the eighties film years ago which was ok but haven’t seen the new one….but as soon as I saw this set I wanted to get it! Looks amazing and I love all the Technic functions! Much like the recent Land Rover defender creator set it seems to do a great job of combining technic and LEGO to create both a functional build and a good looking one!
For me, functionality is very important, maybe more important than looks, especially if we are talking about lego. Building the functions myself is the best part of it. Also, lego is a toy company, thus making the playability that much more important. For me, I wish more builds were this functional and not just static models
This is one of the most perfect and satisfying Lego sets yet in my humble opinion. I have built the Colosseum, the Titanic, the Razor Crest, and many Lego Technic sets, and this one satisfies as much if not more. The intricacies and functionality are just amazing! Thank you, Lego! Please offer more like the Ornithopter.
For me this is already the best set of the year! I know it has some flaws with the red technic pieces but the way how accurate the set is to the film is breathtaking! And the functions are absolutely amazing! So basically this set is perfectly accurate to the movie(s) and ofc the functions make this set a 10/10 for me
Wow, time flies so fast. In the past, sometimes even 1m views were received, but now it is very few, but thanks to your videos, we can look at the content without buying the set, thank you, Austrian brick fan.
I remember when the original Dune was released, this Ornithopter is very well done and the figures are excellent. Looking forward to this set, also a great review, cheers from AU 🇦🇺
For those who still wondering to cop this or not, all i can say is, this set is 100x better in person The build is complex enough for adult builders, the displayability is wonderful, it even attracts people who are not into lego so much The mini figures are amazing as well
My favorite minifigure is the woman with the dual sickle weapons... I love how Lego made them... that was intriguing... I have built something similar to them... I made it with the same spike and base but with a smaller rod... and I mean the rod that Lego used for marvel super heroes warmachine's Mech in 2024... I call this similar creation the ninja scythe...
in the movie, the wings flap very fast but they do not have a wide range. That is what makes the range look bigger in the first place. I do agree with you though for the back four wings. Those barely move,
My set is the same, the blades bend or droop, some more than others. I suppose I could take them all off and try to match them on each side to make them more symmetric, but I believe over time they will droop unevenly anyway. It still looks great, but yeah, perhaps a harder, plastic for the wings or something to keep them straight.
Im kinda sad that so much of the interior was sacrificed for the play aspect, even without all that vibration action it would have still been cool and taken less space away from having even a small compartment in the back for hosts to sit in
isnt putting the minifigs inside a play aspect as well? So they just choose a different play aspect than that- and imo, the wings being able to move is more important than to house some minifigs
Honestly they should have just gone all out and called this a Technic set. The functions are amazing, but... this is Icons, not Technic; it should be about the aesthetics, not the functionality. But call it a Technic set and then sacrificing aesthetics for functionality is perfectly acceptable.
To all those who hate this set because of the Technic overload, JUST ACCEPT IT AND MOVE ON! AND SHUT UP!!! AT LEAST IT’S A DUNE SET! WE NEVER GET THOSE!!!

I normally don't buy movie/tv sets but I've been a Dune fan for several decades. Ordered my set last week.
I hope there is coming more Lego Dune
This what i like about your videos you dont hide your building errors ..shows you build like rest of us
Thats one of the reason i keep small errors in the video. We are all humans no robots

I can’t wait to get this set. I haven’t seen Dune but I have seen this machine in some clips
For those who still wondering to cop this or not, all i can say is, this set is 100x better in person

This is for sure on my list of sets to build. Awesome job mate 🎉
One thing i would do when i get my set is to place the wings underneat some books to straighten them out.
Wow the blade pieces look warped
telephone box behind him!
Looks fantastic set nice fun build 👍 🎶
cool

The price is a bit high for me personally, but this looks so good, and has some nice functions built into it, that I might actually get it
Is duncans hairpiece new?
Will you do the new Kai mech
the range of flapping motion feels pretty pitiful

Did the Pre Orders sellout because there is no option to Pre Order it only says "Coming Soon on February 1, 2024"?
May be its different in some regions, here in europe its still available for preorder
i cant find cape 9:10 how its packed ?
What a crazy build 👍
Now I look forward to building my own ornithopter when it comes out.
Soy un apasionado de LEGO, Ahora estoy montando el "PRESEVERANCE" DE LA NASA QUE SE ENVIÓ A MARTE 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Very cool
In every video I've noticed that the wing blades are warped. Are they supposed to be like that?

Hello, I don't know if u or someone will answer.
But have you got the ref of your camera or a good camera to begin filming lego's construction ?
Its depending on your budget and own quality expectations. Camera is not the most important thing, light and filming spot are much more important
Nice lego technic set!.. 😅😅
That baron figure is the laziest thing I've ever seen 😂
Isso não é uma reclamação mais podiam ter dado um jeito da minifigura do barão harkonnen parecer gordo!
is anyone else struggling with the part at 5:55??

Just calm down buddy I like the set
@@Davidevenworld At least you like and accept this set. I'm talking about the people who complain.
LEGO 75372 😢
All of that over designed technic mechanism for that tiny flapping payoff? How underwhelming
And what is with the wings in / out mechanism and the landing gears?
How was I the 1k like😂
❤❤❤
@Nate-great-fate: hey i love technic/brick sets so this,i would consider a NON-waste of space
