Despite Russ' decline due to age, he always gives 100% effort and passion - something that is lacking with a lot of players in Denver (and in the NBA). Jokic knew that these characteristics would be seen and felt by his teammates and, hopefully, infect them in a positive way. And the results, so far, speak for itself. Murray for Lavine would be such a game changing trade for Denver nuggets...i literally can see it how team would look like, with one more athletic guard,who can finish by himself on high lvl,but can be awesome in cut's from Jokić and Westbrook passes and on top of that good 3p shooter...and on all of that he is kinda player who you can stagger with bench for few min and let him cook ,( i mean,that is almost exactly how he must play in Chicago),till Jokić and guys take few min rest! Jokić,Russ, Gordon, MPJ and Lavine and CB as 6 player would give other team's nightmares! But i would not trade MPJ for him, because that trade doesn't make sense!You loose young,tall great 3p shooter,for smaller player and you are still left with big problem called Jamal Murray,who would not play good in any combination other than je playing with Jokić two man game...that trade would not solve anything! I was one of those who was defending Murray for years,but it's inaf.Man coming at start of every season totally out of shape and touch, talking how he would love to compete in BJJ, acting like he had inaf of basketball and like he won 4 championship...man head is far from right place! They literally got Russ to replace Reggie Jackson on 2nd unit to do what he did with Slippers. He was supposed to do like he did in LA and lead the bench when Jokić sits. They're actually worse this year than when Reggie was there (it was horrible numbers) so their biggest problem isn't solved.
I was overjoyed to see the Nuggets go get Russ. No matter what anyone says about his diminishing skill set, he always hustles more than 97 percent of NBA players. If he hadn't played with the Lesilvergoat Lakers he would still be commanding a salary to large for the Nuggets, thus LeBron did another favor for the Nuggets. I pray Russ plays many more years with the Nuggets and contends for multiple championships with them!

Where almost whole league based basketball on 3 point attempts, Nuggets are like old school goin for quality shots, if they can fix non Jok minutes(Vuch C for 1st R pick and DaRon) and u don't have to think about those minutes, also u can rest Jok lot of games, also in playoffs in 1st 2 rounds to keep Jok on fewer minutes will be phenomenal
It's very hard to get a cheap veteran (Vuc costs too much) who wants to play 8-10mins a game and in playoffs play less/not at all as Jokić plays more and AG plays backup 5. Plumlee, Isaiah, even boogie wanted more mins. I think a 4 who can play the 5 like Batum and Larry Nance would be a good Jeff Green type of vet who could also play with Jokić or replace him.

Russ is an absolute superstar but not a number 1. he's a number 2 and the best kind there is. he just had some tough luck with the bum superstars he had frontrunning him at the clips and lakers that made it look like he's struggling. But put him besides someone like jokic or a luka he becomes the best version of himself. he understands the person he's shadowing, he understands the court and where he needs to be or not be, be in the way or not, be where the ball falls or walk the most steps to get to a spot or get out of that particular line. he understands this, cus he understand what he would have liked from other players. Russ is a valuable piece of the puzzle that is going to give the nugs another chip.

Luka if not shooting 3p,drive to the basket and he need big athletic man who will follow and if he can't finish he will throw pass to that big man.He and russ can only play mine turn your turn in 90% of time and that is where Russ had problem with Lebron,harden and rest of them! Harden plays almost exactly like Luka.He have high average assist,but to repeat myself ,90% of them are to big man when he drive to the basket.
