they need to make it one less jump before the swaying kicks in. use the jumping to your advantage too, they built this game to jump

The crashing and balancing as a casual player is what is driving away casual players. Aside from the crashing its not fun seeing the same weapons dominating every game it just feels stale and sweaty. I'd rather get stomped by an rpk or m4 in separate matches than stomped by several mp7s and ACRs in every single match.
Edit: for those in the comments saying you can look down and shoot the spider, I just had it jump me and nothing happened as i looked down and shot.

Spiders are worthless if you arent playing like a bot, running around with zero tactics, have decent movement. Emp destroys everything and nobody uses it because it doesnt 'kill'.

The shootdown got removed it was supposedly a bug that they fixed and it should have been left in the game until they fixed properly melee but they accidentally removed the shooting so yeh you can just shoot it on the ground basically when you see it coming. Basically hyperbuffed it.
Your teammates can shoot it off your face too but I have never seen anyone do that before, every match I get into I'm the only one who shoots it off my teammate's face😂

Then so does my main libretads health boost drops that make me near invincible for 30 seconds in a good position, or the firebomb blowing up entire teams on obj, the phantom passive and shields, the 5.7 one shot kill paired with the wall hack... because they kill me, and it makes me sad... I can shoot or emp a spider 8/10 times. Can't get chained multi kills from a fkn spider, lol.
Or how about they limit the ability to one per team, then will Saucey Bot be upset when Johnny Bot picks his fav character and ability, and he can't spam his favorite superpower! 😉 wait til you see the dance dance revolution bomb class being worked on, or the thrusting 10 ft 1 hit sword, or the wall runner... every class is good if you understand how to play with it, and every class is beatable if you adjust your classes for different situations. I'll take an evil spider ded sec getting maybe 1 kill over a dude with good movement firebombing corners every 25 seconds, lol.
I agree on big troubles. I think i have few days left and i am out. OP snipers, crossplay, pc cheaters, netcode etc etc
I'm right there with you.....I need my fps fix since I don't play COD anymore but xdefiant is really pissing me off and I'm trying to hang on.
It all feels so restricted. I love the division, but despite the faster pace, you still really feel the limitations in X. Just starting, it seems much less a game of skill until you've unlocked all the weapons. The ttk for some guns is just insane. I feel like increasing the headshot multiplyer would be a great way to kind of generally make things feel more balanced.
I can’t stand the constant screen freezing in the lobby when it says “creating match” and you can’t do shit

X defiant should be the next big thing instead of just another small game that you can log into. The fps shooter genre has long been empty after COD started killing itself and if x defiant plays its cards right and appeases the community instead of Ubisoft's greed, it has the opportunity to inherit the entire COD community that has it has cultivated over its decades as I believe that BO6 is the very last chance for activision to show its players that it can make a playable game but i am sure that it will fail this chance, with the SBMM, obnoxious operator skins, and many of the other newer decisions, it has thrown the community that has followed it over the years under the bus in favor or the more profitable noobs
Maybe it's just me, but I have a tinfoil hate theory. I play on LC, my friend plays on PS5. We've noticed that our lobbies in Unranked modes have been consistenly even with close wins and losses constantly. Almost as if SBMM was suddenly turned on. My tinfoil hat theory: When Ranked was released, I think it affected all servers Ranked and Unranked and turned SBMM on for all lobbies.
Either that or everyone just suddenly got sweatier. I have no proof of this, and I'm welcome to be wrong. But the matches my friend and I have been playing have just felt... off. The same kind of feeling we had when we played the CoD titles from MW '19 onwards.

Nope i experienced this as soon as i left the welcome playlist with 1.2 KD EVERY game has ttvs/lvl 100s+ for me. Not only that but there is not 1 bad player on the enemy team. I also play with ppl who have 2x bttr ping than me theres definitely some sort of sbmm going on. Old cod use to put me in games with ppl with similar ping. Crazy part is when i play with my friend with 0.7KD We dont get as sweaty games. No ttvs barely lvl 100s. They need to address this asap

@sasuke15156 I have a 2.0 kd and it feels like my matches are completely random. For the past week I've had maybe three games where I was just above positive and other than that I do well. Sometimes I get people that suck bricks in spawn and sometimes I get across mp7 lobbies which is to be expected. There is no sbmm in xdefiant.
I agree! I really do think it’s SBMM in the game and they’re lying about it because that’s their only selling point. I’m starting to notice the same patterns I’ve notice in the last 5 CODS. I could be wrong though.
Casuals are dropping off left and right. Only the sweats remain. Games got as much content as a children's picture book. What do you expect?
An issue I’m having is the fire bomb doesn’t work half the time I attempt to use it when rushing/flanking.
If you’re too close to a wall, it doesn’t work. If you jump(for me atleast) doesn’t work. It’s extremely frustrating. It happens way too often!!
Your issues with the Snipers is a core problem with the TTK. There is simply no way to properly balance weapons generally designed around one shot kills in that 400ms TTK. The pump-action shotgun in the game is SO BAD because it doesn't consistently one-shot kill, but the snipers are amazing because they do. I'm literally writing my Master's Thesis on this.

I was playing for two weeks now. The first week was awesome experience. Every day I look forward to the time I'm picking up my controller and start shooting. Untill the secon week comes and I got put in a lobbies full of bunny hop sniping duck! And it doesn't matter how hard I try you just can't prevent people from leaving the lobby and now I got snipe left and right. I know abou the cheating problem but this feels awful. For a solo player xdefient is just brutal! So, before it take effect on my mental health... Uninstalled!😅
Bunny hopping needs to be addressed badly ..
Spiderbots are frustrating especially when more than one guy is running them it it’s out of control ..
AFK players need to be kicked & quickly & team balancing sometimes can be a bit off ..
Only two of each faction per team could be a good way to go …
Snipers are better than shotguns up close ..
There’s a lot of issues but I’m still enjoying the game 😅

So, the spiderbot cover up my face, then why i cannot spray my gun for the enemy that dare to come in front? just a chance of fighting back and i wouldt rage so much after getting hog down 2 bots in a row!
One time I had 3 spider bots jump on my face alternatively. Waiting their damn turn to nut on my face. Luckily the first 2 were dealt with by my teammate..... but that third one was inescapable and the douche that threw that one down got a kill on me. I was so angry I started shaking uncontrollably and I was screaming out of frustration. A game is not supposed to do that to a gamer.

@cchelios1138 I'm not crying about it. It is a problem, whether you want to believe it or not. You can only combat with emp or even hacking them but for so long, but you get one emp per life and the dedsec hacking has a cooldown....so in those instances one individual can get screwed by spider bots. Look, I won't argue with you. You like the game and that's cool but the game has problems. Have a good one dude. God bless.
This game feels exactly how the devs wanted it to be. OLD cod. The bad shows way more because newer games fixed the issued the old games had but this one has no optimization and quality of life features. Its just generic for an fps and the desync isnt fixed yet
Used get crashed after 7-8 games, now getting crashed after every single match. Glad i got the mastery camo before the crash got worse. Not gonna grind the game untill its fixed. Have unlocked the new sniper and kept it aside for mastery grind after they fix the game.
Is anyone else hearing Cleaner's voice lines at all times, or do I just have an omnipotent New Yorker in my head?
I feel your frustration with the crashing... it's been happening a lot, even in pubs too. Mark did address it on Twitter yesterday and they have been working to correct it. It's been better, in pubs, the last few days. Ranked needs a lot more work before I'm going to invest anytime with it. While the balance of the game is out of whack, I'm keeping in mind that the game is still new and I believe, in time, it's going to get better and better. In comparision, there's not a free FPS game like it... the only thing that comes close is IronSight, which is great for mouse and keyboard players but controller support is lackluster. I'm still digging XDef and will continue to support it. Great video!

The damage compression of awful on the M16, the burst fire is really bad as you can frequent catch players off guard with a second burst doing damage with the first burst catching up effectively making it look like you killed them in under one burst as they won't have registered the first. Spider Bot and Phantom hp are nowhere even in the top ten of problems this game has, its just in the very small slice of player will these be issue for and by chance that has a lot of content creators in them. Honestly the terrible spawns, terrible team blanching, terrible networking, Inconsistent gun play, terrible skill ratting, terrible score system, and so on and son on. you will far more consistently be a problems that forces you to loose then running into phantom or spider bot, its just these are the two thing streamers have the worst time dealing with and thus they pretend that their sever issues.
At the end of the day most of the games issues are fundamental to shooter in general refusing to deal with issue with their own design and instead just looking for some kind of patchwork quick fix to slap over it. Yes Xdefinat is almost 20 years out of date, because almost 20 years of time has been wasted looking for fancy new assets to slap over the same flawed systems.

I dont get it why ranked is 4vs4...maps and gameplay feels so different. Seems that sniper players also love it brcause of less chaos. Have no interest in this kind of play
I'd love to play XDeifiant, I'm actually quite decent at it, but as soon as I'm thinking about firing it up I think about all the times I'm gonna get instagibbed by snipers or stunlocked by spiders without any mean whatsoever to counter that and I'm like "no daugh, thanks, I'd rather play something else".
This game wants to be a fast FPS but plays like fucking Overwatch with the overtuned abilities shit. And I hate Overwatch.

I don't see how xDefiant will have any real staying power. I suppose it can keep its playerbase of disgruntled CoD fans, but its never going to be anything but a CoD clone. There is no gun, character, or map that will change that. Its F2P so ofc its initial numbers will look good, but I imagine most of the player base will move on to either the next CoD or back to their old faithful by this time of next year.

Shatterline used to have tens of thousands of players on Steam. Now it peaks at 300. Between the two, I'm not even sure XDefiant is the better designed game. I give it a year to meet the same fate.
I personally find it a game that fills in my craving surprisingly well. CoD style game has been monopolized by, well, CoD for multiple game generations now. I kinda miss the old casual hop-in hop-out multiplayer FPS days. I consider myself a Battlefield player and I do hop on CoD every once in a while. But at the moment, Battlefield is very underwhelming and CoD has all the SBMM stuff that makes me enjoy the game way less. To add on top of that, I play a lot of Ubisoft games, ranging from Far Cry, Assassin's Creed, Rainbow Six, and The Division. I like these games' worlds and stories. So this game being a jumble of everything Ubisoft is appealing to me.
I know my case is a very specific one and I'm pretty much the model player Ubisoft is hoping for this game. And not a lot of people are gonna appreciate it as much as I do. But I sure like this game and want to see it stay for a long time, it capitalizing on the casual side and all. And casual games need a lot of people to balance out the sweaty high-skill minority of players.
This game is the closest thing to fan service for the gaming community.
I wouldn’t think it will die quickly because this game is actually addicting in-comparison to many of the FPS games that i have ever played and i played all of them at the highest level and nothing came close to feeling that this game brings when your actually good at it.
But as Activision has shown for over a decade now for the games they publish, their greed kills their products.
They never respected their community and they sure as hell don’t respect their employees creative ideas. A lot of the cod employees fled here to make this game, so Its really no secret as to why they made their decision to make this game.
Cod just caters to casuals and gun-enthusiasts and also their memory sizes for cod nowadays is not attractive to many people with consoles. Xdefiant is a great 30+GB game.
People in the gaming community never really had good judgement especially about the longevity of games they’re just casuals in.
@@ogPunkclnpreach dude, xdefiant releasing ranked early was very smart for revenue. Now it segments all the sweats from the public matches so they can thrive better.
It also had better player retention than any cod within the first month alone. Most people buy cod just to put it down after the first month cause no ranked was released and the bad players feel like theyre not earning anything cause of the camo challenges they struggle to complete. Its been like this ever since i was a kid and now heres a game that truly understands what theyre doing to keep people around. More power to them.
The games got about as much content as a children's picture book, legit 2/3rds of the screen has either text or icons on it, factions and operators are unbalanced and more annoying than fun. If this game was even 5 bucks to buy it would be dead already.
Cronus Zen users everywhere, fucking games full of cheats, Dont bother playing unless you cheat. Dont get me started on the jumping/crouch that supposedly UBI fixed but aghh nor cronus users now have not only macro to have zero recoil but also to remove the drift implemented by spam jumping, WTG UBI putting time into fixing something that has made no difference to the cheaters!!!!

i agree with pretty much everything you said except sniper balance. i think the flinch was a reasonable nerf, and actually is a bit on the extreme side compared to other shooters like cod. i think there should be flinch for all weapon types also.

Its a hero shooter with bad hero design.
A hero shooter with no ability counters.
A hero shooter that doesn't even matter that its a hero shooter because gun TTK is so fast.
Its a competitive shooter with bad netcode.

Nothing about this game works. Nothing makes sense. AKA i can tell it was designed by former COD devs.
This is a COD-style game designed for people who don't like COD. I have no idea what the target audience for this game was. Its full of contradictions. XDefiant is doomed. Within a year, COD kids will go back to COD once the next installment comes out, and people who want to play good games will also leave because this game fucking sucks.
Okay hear me out about the snipers that gameplay snippet on mayday i guess was inserted to justify your opinion on the fact that snipers are overpowered. You can't tell me that the players you were versing were anywhere close to your skill level and if they were you would have lost a lot more of those gun fights, it only takes 1 stray AR bullet to really throw your aim off and turn gunfights into a 50/50.
The best way to think about this is, would you have got more kills in that lobby if you used an automatic weapon and if the answer is yes then snipers are not overpowered.
Good snipers have taken years of playing fps to hone their centering and movement to win gun fights consistently, something already made harder by poor netcode making peak shots obsolete. Last thing we need is less gun variety by nerfing snipers even harder.

These complaints are getting old. I never get server disconnects and I don’t know of any modern competitive games that give you a free pass when your internet goes out, because it’s impossible to tell if you did it intentionally.
Yes, you get killed around corners sometimes, but that is ALWAYS because you exposed yourself for long enough in a gunfight. This is the nature of networked games. You’re not getting robbed, it’s just the server synchronizing your client..

It’s only sweats in the game. All the casuals have left cause the devs refuse to change the game for the better and only are enabling a toxic fanbase.

Thats a cold take reg. snipers, look how fast your 35 bullet mag reloads on your AK, the game is supposed to be fast. Im sick of games changing every time bullet spammers cry they want changes to the one-shot-kill mechanics in fast paced games. In XD especially, it would make snipers completely useless. Realistically - who uses snipers, especially on console? If you are getting it handed to you by a good player it wont matter what they are using. In Aus servers, 85% of players are running around with autos, ask yourself why snipers need a nerf when they arent a popular choice even in a game that allows a one shot kill.
Also this game has lost a majority of attention already wont be long before it fades, they aren't doing enough with it because they know its going to fizzle. Even the servers are on a budget and its obvious.
Imagine making a competitive FPS with complete trash netcode and then when people rightfully complain the dev response is “if you dont like it play something else” LOL also i love the excuse of “this engine wasnt built for an FPS” SO WHO’S THE GENIUS THAT DECIDED TO MAKE AN FPS ON AN INCOMPATIBLE ENGINE? Lmaooo ubisoft only employs clowns
