Thank you for this, I keep telling my friend that I like this suit more than TASM2's and he never understands why (reasonably) but I've always loved this suit since I was like, 9 or something when the movie first came out. I look at it now and I'm immediately transported to the early 2010s and I really dig that personally
I think my only issue with the TASM1 suit is the segmented belt. It just… doesn’t look right to me. The belt they gave him in the video game adaption fixed this costume for me in an instant tho! That being said, the best redesign of the classic suit for me will always be the Sensational suit (largely depends on the artist, so I’m mainly speaking Bagley and Jurgens)
If you look at the consept art for TASM1 the alt version for the final desing used in the movie has the belt and the yellow eyes are more in the shape of the ditko eyes

We had a perfect “cinematic” take on the classic suit from Raimi. There was room for something different. The TASM suit is just cool. The dark, reflective lenses look great on camera. The logo is elegant and neat. The use of blue on the fingers and sporty shoes are good design choices. I also love that the eyes have blue outlines. Brings it together even more.
This one was always my favorite movie suit. Maybe just because it’s different. I used to not care for the classic suit that much but I’ve come around to it more now, but this one is still my favorite. I do think the hands are a bit busy, and the weird black line under the crotch is odd, but everything else looks amazing. I actually never noticed the eyes had blue rims til they added it to Spider-Man PS4 so that was neat to learn ig.
I think another reason I’m so attached to it is because of the first game. I played that shit religiously when I was younger, except I had the 3DS port so everything looked super muddy and gross

Also, I too played TASM1 religiously on the Xbox 360 and agree that the utilitybelt version is better. I got the Black Suit in that game too, and that thing is absolutely beautiful.
@@Noaher256 Yeah, you had to 100% the game to get it on 360. It was basically just a black and silver version of the TASM suit, kinda like the Raimi Black Suit, but it was so beautiful (imo).
@@stareater1870 the 3DS and I think Wii versions have this alternate game mode called Vigilante thats like some sort of strategy whatever game that’s super annoying to play but that’s how you get the black suit. The black suit and the Raimi red suit are the only other costumes in the game to begin with. Get the classic suit by doing all the petty crimes.
Personally I've always liked the reds and blues of this suit, especial in certain lightings, like when it's in the light and the yellow eyes have a great shine to it. I like how the pattern makes Peter look lanky, like he would be as a teenager.
I drew this suit and noticed the exact same details and I’d also like more. While drawing both TASM suits I noticed the webbing was unique from every other Spider-Man webbing out there, since it doesn’t really do that Curve in between the vertical lines, it kinda treats the horizontal webbing as just lines and it really works and adds sweet freshness and newness on an old idea. Also, in Tasm 1’s suit, this is a detail almost everybody misses, but in the mask. You start off normal, in the center of his face, but as you edge out, the lines that where horizontal on the area above the eyes, now become vertical. And the horizontal lines blow the eyes, now become vertical after they cross some distance. It’s really hard to explain without visual evidence to back it up. But that TASM 1 mask is not traditional at all and is yet another way they brought new takes to old ideas.
I really like this suit and glad its getting recognition! I just wish Andrew wore this suit instead of the TASM2 suit in NWH to fit in with the darker version of Peter when Gwen died, so he became the same Peter that he was in TASM1. Cool video but I still think the TASM2 suit looks a little better but TASM1 is my 2nd favorite suit in all the movies. Cool video!
I always thought this suit was inspired by the Ben Reilly Sensational suit. 1. The combination of red and blue fingers 2. A larger spider on the chest (but not the same shape) 3. External Webshooters over the suit 4. Overall changes in the red to blue ratio of the suit
When I first saw the suit, I admit it is a bit less friendly, but makes sense when with vengeance in mind, you make this, and I do like the design as it is Peter who makes it like in the comics. :3
Love the video but the way you described the Insomniac suit bothers me a bit so imma just fact check you real quick. There are both canonical and real world reasons as to why they redesigned the suit. Canonically, the white spider logos are meant so that criminals have a slower reaction time (or smth along those lines), and there is a little less red and a little more blue on the suit bc the red parts act as a sort of armor to protect him better while the blue parts are meant to give him more flexibility, hence why there are many segmented red parts to allow for better flexibility. Plus the white carbon-fiber knuckle-dusters on his gloves allow him to deliver a harder punch (and kick since that same material is utilized on the soles of the suit). And of course the real-world change was to have an iconic looking suit that was close enough to the OG, while being distinct enough to be recognizable as Insomniac's take on Spider-Man. I heard frim an official source that the white parts on the suit are insulation so that if Peter ever goes against someone like Electro again, he won't be nearly fried to death. You can kinda learn this by inspecting the orange gloves collectible in Spider-Man PS4/PS5
Although I like the design (especially implementing white in more than just the eyes), I was never too keen on the explanation for the "knuckle-dusters," since Spider-Man is never not pulling his punches, anyway, and I feel like that'd just make it harder for him. But it does make sense for Otto Octavius to have had that idea, since he's the one who is surprised in the comics to learn just how powerful Spider-Man really is and that he's been holding back all these years. I suppose the knuckles are handy for tussling with the likes of Rhino, but not so much when he's trying not to obliterate every bone in some purse-snatcher's body.
Something else I love about this suit is that you can see the glove actually looks like it separates. Especially in the car scene with Jack, when you get a close-up shot of his glove, you can see the separation between the glove and sleeve. The glove has a higher layer to it, the blue on the glove is a different texture, you can see the spot where it looks to buckle in place. It actually looks like it detaches without magically merging with the sleeve. As awesome as the TASM 2 suit is, I really wish they maintained a similar design to this one. Basically tidying it up a bit to make it more friendly neighbourhood without changing every aspect of it (e.g, keeping the hexagonal printing instead of changing to the brick pattern, keep the red stripes down the legs, cleaning up some of the fragmentation without losing all of it, etc). Basically a merging of the two designs to make it feel more consistent. I do wish they kept a few aspects of the screen test suit. Stuff like the red cutting off at the belt a bit differently, the blue lenses, non-fragmented spider symbol)
This suit was really special to me. I grew up with the Raimi films and love that suit too but the anticipation of this movie was when I discovered what a movie ‘reboot’ was and saw the set photos of this new suit and was intrigued with how slick it looked. Something about this design just clicked for me and after many Spider-Man suits that have been shown through comics, games and movies afterwards I still love TASM1 suit the most. It was the first Spider-Man cosplay I did last year and it felt great going to events in it.
I always feel that a Spidey's suit must fit the person who wears it. Just like what Stan Lee said in Spider-Verse. "The suit always fits, eventually." Making me think that every spidey must eventually grow into who they are
My only issue with the suit I had as a kid and still have, is that the spider logo is a bit hard no distinguish, in my eyes due to the segmentation of the logo makes it blend bit much with the webbing, apart from that I loved the duit as a kid and still do now.
I noticed how in the movie the yellow lenses were often overshadowed by the darkness of the scenes since a lot of the spidey scenes took place during the night, and this resulted in the lenses looking really dark and almost pitch black in some instances. This is only logical since in the movie Peter took out sunglasses lenses and repurposed them for his mask, hence their looking black with added touches of reflective surfaces. In other media that have tried to adapt this suit like the tie-in game and Marvel's Spider-Man, the yellow looks much more prominent and not as dark as the movie portrayed it. I personally like the darker almost shiny pitch black look of it rather than it being plain dark yellow and it's kind of a bummer how none have been able to replicate that same look outside the movie, opting for the straightforward yellow look of the basic suit concept instead
TASM 1 suit has always been my favorite Spider-Man suit. I've been saying this forever and I will die on this hill. I loved the departure from the classic design. There's only so many variants of the classic design you can do before you get tired of seeing it in everything. I liked the gold eyes, I liked the red stripe on the legs, I loved the menacing look and skinny nimble design.
I absolutely love yellow (or off-white) eyes for an early Spider-Man who's still all angsty and intentionally intimidating. It makes him look creepy and I think that's what Peter would have been going for at that stage, dealing with the bullying and isolation at school and the loss of Uncle Ben. Not yet having come into his own as a more jovial and "friendly neighborhood" hero. I usually have yellowish eyes in mind whenever I design or write something for an origin-stage Spider-Man. Likewise when it comes to being able to see the seams and stitching.
honestly when i was a kid, the thing that drew me to the look of this spiderman was the slim skinny look and the peircing yellow eyes, something you could see in some raimi posters were that the eyes were kind of yellow, but here we get proper yellow eyes and i really liked that
The tasm suit is my all time favorite Spidey suit in any media. I just love how the webs flow throughout the body, the colors, the lenses. I love it all.
A bit of a tangent, but I initially thought and theorized that maybe the TASM1 Suit could be its own character, as its overall look and design changes as the movie progressed. Maybe some funny accident left Peter pantsless while wearing the suit, and that's what prompted him to add the red belt over the blue leggings (or something like that). Maybe the yellow lens got damaged while swinging and that's what made him redesign to the white lenses. Basically stuff like that, and the movie would end with the suit looking a bit more familiar to the classic look. The minor updates/redesigns kinda give the suit its own character arc, in a way. Nonetheless I still love this redesign. It really feels like its own.
It's my headcanon that it looks like a basketball because Peter was so proud of the fact he made flash look stupid with the basketball so he based his suit off that
While this may be a perfect redesign, I think the perfect reinterpretation of the classic suit is Tom's final suit from No Way Home, though the Stark Suit is one of the best ones we'd gotten at the time.
I get your point but the colors are just not working for me (just like the MCU’s iron spider suit) the very bright blue is clashing with the orange-ish red of the costume. Since we can’t really have a clear image of the actual suit at the end of nwh, my opinion is based on the official art work of the movie.
I think why people aren’t liking the Tasm1 suit because their just not used to spider man’s suit being this different, in my opinion I love this suit it was always so unique and so satisfying to look at. This suit also suits with the goth-ish look of Tasm1.
I love the long skinny spider designs honestly. Having a small tiny spider in the middle just makes me question why it's even there if you can barely see it.
So glad you're deciding to cover this incredible suit. This is my second favorite live-action suit. Love the way it shimmers during the night scenes, love the streamlined web pattern, the long, skinny, and segmented chest logo, and I love the shades of red and blue they used. And the lack of raised webbing makes the silhouette and dynamic posing pop out so much more. I don't care if you think it looks like a basketball; basketballs are dope. That's not a negative, and it's also a cringe critique to make.
This suit makes him feel like a spider, and by that i mean a creepy stealthy predator, and thats what he was trying to be in the movie since he made it to go out and hunt criminals
Btw- the web design on the basketball head suits, head, is not even a web. It’s freaking squares! that’s how dumb this suit is. The horizontal lines at the top of the mask become the vertical lines on the lower half.
Sort of a weird observation I made after watching clips of TASM 1 like a million times but the Spider-Man cg model in the movie has an exceptional head shape
I thought I was the only one who loved everything about the first suit. I don't think I even changed it once I unlocked it in the PS4 game, and was glad they put it in instead of the second suit
This is why I enjoy the PS4 Spider-Man suit and The TASM 1 suit. The PS4 suit feels like a love letter to what Isomniac pays tribute to everything Spidey. But people thought the PS4 suit should just be the classic suit. No body armor just him being in a cloth suit that gets torn up after every fight. Because Peter's your average ordinary Joe who isn't super smart. But he IS super smart hence he made the TASM 1 suit of things he had in and around his city and his house. Heck he even made webshooters from wristwatches his Uncle used. Whereas the Advanced Suit feels like it's a culmination of Peter's years and experience as a crimefighter.. the whit3 and red sections help protect his body from blunt weapons and firearms and other Metas. The blue is meant for aerodynamics. It's part compression suit part battlesuit. Both suits have their detractors and haters and I don't pay them so much mind. I enjoy the Suits. Heck I have a suit IRL I feel is underrated; the Last Stand Suit. It's comfy, feels like I could sleep in it and it's color scheme is badass

My main issue with it is the belt, I've seen ones that make it split from the middle and look much more visually appealing it's probably a personal thing, I do wish the second movie just improved on this design rather than returning completely to the classic suit. Maybe give it the white eyes since the second had a much more friendly neighborhood take than the first and cut the segmenting of the Spider logo, make the belt a bit thicker and longer, and color it a bit brighter, and I think it would've been perfect
TASM1 is the first spiderman movie i’ve ever seen and I absolutely loved it. The appearance of spiderman was so cool and it really showed the emotions of Peter Parker.
I absolutely love this suit. It's different, darker and it represents a dark part in Peter's life. The Dark colours mixed with the texture looks great. I love that long and skinny symbol too, just because. I like the yellow eyes, I like the white eyes people edit on it too, I personally think it might look great with black lenses if they weren't yellow, but it might end up looking like the Superior suit.

What I love is, TASM 1 is sort of like a "What If Spider-Man Never Caught His Uncles Killer". Most others have him catch him and instantly become a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, but this peter didn't. And he never would, but saving people and the city was instead what made him in to the friendly neighborhood Spider-man. I might be reading too much in to it, but I like TASM 1
A lot of people shitted on TASM suit but I personally loved it especially with the yellow lenses, it really looked like a teenager first attempt at making a superhero costume and it also fit the look of vengeance that Peter had at the time that he made it in the film. I personally love both TASM suits. I like how it folds and crease as he moves around. PS4 version is also a favorite of mine because it looks like the next step evolution from TASM 1 if they didn't go back to the OG design for the sequal.
The first time I actually started analyzing the TASM1 suit was in the PS4 game and I came to the conclusion that the suit is fucky, I just kept finding new details and the suit can be best described as a rabbit hole.

I do love the maroon coloring of the suit, it brings me back to a rubber toy I found in a Forrest back in the day. And though I love the design from his chest upwards, I believe the arms and legs are way too complicated and dumb. Like we have normal webbing on the mask and chest, but for the arms we break the red parts up and not web the whole thing all the way? The same goes for the boots, all they needed was to continue the webbing but they have like 3 different designs there. It’s as if they wanted to go with a plain no webbing in one sketch drawing, but also wanted a single line boot, yet also wanted a webbed boot and so they settled for all 3 in one. Nah And finally, the eyes… I like them, they fit perfectly but there is a catch. In every iconic shot of the movie and in the posters, his lenses appear more silvery rather than straight yellow. I hate the mustard eyes look, but a plain white would contrast so much with the maroon, so I would change it to silver

It's fun to look at and you can't deny. Idk why ppl judge cause it's not going anywhere. It's on Netflix and I'm happy they made this movie
my real issue with the TASM 1 suit is that i feel like the blue could've been replaced with black and the Ditko references could've been leant into more, but even then the real hangup i have is the eyes. not so much them being yellow or small, but two specific things: they're placed weirdly on the mask in a way that doesn't feel natural (they have too steep of an angle for one, i'd rather they be tilted more downwards) and the blue rims around the lenses annoy me like nobody's business. if they were black, i'd have much less of a problem with it, but the blue lens frames just feel like the kind of unnecessary change that other modern redesigns do. it certainly takes me out of the menacing aspect the suit is going for.
might be a hot take but I like how much blue-er the arms are. The thinner red stripes on the arms(this goes for the asm2 suit too) make for a good compromise to the arm segmenting issue I've been seeing as of late, keeping the red but making it so that the blue is always visible. Plus, I love the blue on the fingers, giving the hands a reverse-fingerless gloves look, like Miles.
I remembered hating the Tasm 1 suit when the movie came out, just because of the yellow lenses and the patterns of the suit. But when I got older the more I started to appreciate the suit and I personally think this is one of the best modern Spider-Man suits, same with the tasm 2 suit. They’re both better than any of the MCU spidey suits that we’ve gotten.
Also in Spider-Man PS4 there was a lot of stuff going for both Peter's personal life and his life as Spider-Man. That story and world have a lot of depth
I think the eyes were yellow because of Tobey's suit. In the posters he was always in a sunset that made his eyes look golden like, wich is the reason why some figures of Tobey's spider have lamps under his mask. And I think this is a neat reference
The Amazing Spiderman suits are my favorite live action suits not only was it unique but we also got the best comic accurate live action suits in the second movie. I love both suits but the first movie suit is my favorite
Thank you…. I love this suit and movie so much and when you love something and the majority seems to to feel different, it feels like you’re the only one. So when hearing what you’re saying, I feel relieved that I’m not the only one that appreciates it for the unique creation that it is and it’s relation to this version of Peter… hope they bring it back in the spider-verse movies to come
I love the tasm suit I recently played through the remastered ps4 game on pc nd wore that suit through 95% of the playthrough and that includes the main campaign and all three dlcs and it was awesome it felt like the amazing spiderman 1 game had gotten a great sequel where he kept the cool suit what an experience.
The Garfield films had 2 very interesting suits the first was a very different suit from previous designs especially when compared to the rami suit. I like the spider logo on the first suit it just feels more definitive the suit design feels new but recognisable. The second I also really like at first i thought it was a straight up rami copy but the design grew on me and is really cool to see on screen especially with the big lens even Holland was jealous of Andrew suit from BTS if I remember rightly cause of how real and practical it was.
I like everything about this suit except for the yellow eyes. I like the look you see when the yellow is covered by the sunglass lenses. upon further reflection, the yellow works for like a reflection of light off the lenses... a little reflection but still noticeable.
Let's not forget that when Peter made this suit on the movie he was with vengance in mind, so it's perfect for the Peter the movie was showing

And the horizontal lines blow the eyes, now become vertical after they cross some distance. It’s really hard to explain without visual evidence to back it up. But that TASM 1 mask is not traditional at all and is yet another way they brought new takes to old ideas.

I really like this suit and glad its getting recognition! I just wish Andrew wore this suit instead of the TASM2 suit in NWH to fit in with the darker version of Peter when Gwen died, so he became the same Peter that he was in TASM1. Cool video but I still think the TASM2 suit looks a little better but TASM1 is my 2nd favorite suit in all the movies. Cool video!
According to the TASM 2 game, Gwen made him the TASM 2 suit, so maybe (assuming the movies were the same) it made him feel closer to Gwen.

I always thought this suit was inspired by the Ben Reilly Sensational suit.
1. The combination of red and blue fingers
2. A larger spider on the chest (but not the same shape)
3. External Webshooters over the suit
4. Overall changes in the red to blue ratio of the suit
When I first saw the suit, I admit it is a bit less friendly, but makes sense when with vengeance in mind, you make this, and I do like the design as it is Peter who makes it like in the comics. :3

Love the video but the way you described the Insomniac suit bothers me a bit so imma just fact check you real quick. There are both canonical and real world reasons as to why they redesigned the suit. Canonically, the white spider logos are meant so that criminals have a slower reaction time (or smth along those lines), and there is a little less red and a little more blue on the suit bc the red parts act as a sort of armor to protect him better while the blue parts are meant to give him more flexibility, hence why there are many segmented red parts to allow for better flexibility. Plus the white carbon-fiber knuckle-dusters on his gloves allow him to deliver a harder punch (and kick since that same material is utilized on the soles of the suit). And of course the real-world change was to have an iconic looking suit that was close enough to the OG, while being distinct enough to be recognizable as Insomniac's take on Spider-Man. I heard frim an official source that the white parts on the suit are insulation so that if Peter ever goes against someone like Electro again, he won't be nearly fried to death. You can kinda learn this by inspecting the orange gloves collectible in Spider-Man PS4/PS5
Although I like the design (especially implementing white in more than just the eyes), I was never too keen on the explanation for the "knuckle-dusters," since Spider-Man is never not pulling his punches, anyway, and I feel like that'd just make it harder for him. But it does make sense for Otto Octavius to have had that idea, since he's the one who is surprised in the comics to learn just how powerful Spider-Man really is and that he's been holding back all these years. I suppose the knuckles are handy for tussling with the likes of Rhino, but not so much when he's trying not to obliterate every bone in some purse-snatcher's body.
Something else I love about this suit is that you can see the glove actually looks like it separates. Especially in the car scene with Jack, when you get a close-up shot of his glove, you can see the separation between the glove and sleeve. The glove has a higher layer to it, the blue on the glove is a different texture, you can see the spot where it looks to buckle in place. It actually looks like it detaches without magically merging with the sleeve.
As awesome as the TASM 2 suit is, I really wish they maintained a similar design to this one. Basically tidying it up a bit to make it more friendly neighbourhood without changing every aspect of it (e.g, keeping the hexagonal printing instead of changing to the brick pattern, keep the red stripes down the legs, cleaning up some of the fragmentation without losing all of it, etc). Basically a merging of the two designs to make it feel more consistent.
I do wish they kept a few aspects of the screen test suit. Stuff like the red cutting off at the belt a bit differently, the blue lenses, non-fragmented spider symbol)
This suit was really special to me. I grew up with the Raimi films and love that suit too but the anticipation of this movie was when I discovered what a movie ‘reboot’ was and saw the set photos of this new suit and was intrigued with how slick it looked. Something about this design just clicked for me and after many Spider-Man suits that have been shown through comics, games and movies afterwards I still love TASM1 suit the most. It was the first Spider-Man cosplay I did last year and it felt great going to events in it.
I always feel that a Spidey's suit must fit the person who wears it. Just like what Stan Lee said in Spider-Verse. "The suit always fits, eventually." Making me think that every spidey must eventually grow into who they are

My only issue with the suit I had as a kid and still have, is that the spider logo is a bit hard no distinguish, in my eyes due to the segmentation of the logo makes it blend bit much with the webbing, apart from that I loved the duit as a kid and still do now.
I noticed how in the movie the yellow lenses were often overshadowed by the darkness of the scenes since a lot of the spidey scenes took place during the night, and this resulted in the lenses looking really dark and almost pitch black in some instances. This is only logical since in the movie Peter took out sunglasses lenses and repurposed them for his mask, hence their looking black with added touches of reflective surfaces. In other media that have tried to adapt this suit like the tie-in game and Marvel's Spider-Man, the yellow looks much more prominent and not as dark as the movie portrayed it. I personally like the darker almost shiny pitch black look of it rather than it being plain dark yellow and it's kind of a bummer how none have been able to replicate that same look outside the movie, opting for the straightforward yellow look of the basic suit concept instead
TASM 1 suit has always been my favorite Spider-Man suit. I've been saying this forever and I will die on this hill. I loved the departure from the classic design. There's only so many variants of the classic design you can do before you get tired of seeing it in everything. I liked the gold eyes, I liked the red stripe on the legs, I loved the menacing look and skinny nimble design.
I absolutely love yellow (or off-white) eyes for an early Spider-Man who's still all angsty and intentionally intimidating. It makes him look creepy and I think that's what Peter would have been going for at that stage, dealing with the bullying and isolation at school and the loss of Uncle Ben. Not yet having come into his own as a more jovial and "friendly neighborhood" hero. I usually have yellowish eyes in mind whenever I design or write something for an origin-stage Spider-Man. Likewise when it comes to being able to see the seams and stitching.
honestly when i was a kid, the thing that drew me to the look of this spiderman was the slim skinny look and the peircing yellow eyes, something you could see in some raimi posters were that the eyes were kind of yellow, but here we get proper yellow eyes and i really liked that
The tasm suit is my all time favorite Spidey suit in any media. I just love how the webs flow throughout the body, the colors, the lenses. I love it all.

A bit of a tangent, but I initially thought and theorized that maybe the TASM1 Suit could be its own character, as its overall look and design changes as the movie progressed. Maybe some funny accident left Peter pantsless while wearing the suit, and that's what prompted him to add the red belt over the blue leggings (or something like that). Maybe the yellow lens got damaged while swinging and that's what made him redesign to the white lenses. Basically stuff like that, and the movie would end with the suit looking a bit more familiar to the classic look. The minor updates/redesigns kinda give the suit its own character arc, in a way.
Nonetheless I still love this redesign. It really feels like its own.
It's my headcanon that it looks like a basketball because Peter was so proud of the fact he made flash look stupid with the basketball so he based his suit off that
While this may be a perfect redesign, I think the perfect reinterpretation of the classic suit is Tom's final suit from No Way Home, though the Stark Suit is one of the best ones we'd gotten at the time.
I get your point but the colors are just not working for me (just like the MCU’s iron spider suit) the very bright blue is clashing with the orange-ish red of the costume. Since we can’t really have a clear image of the actual suit at the end of nwh, my opinion is based on the official art work of the movie.
I think why people aren’t liking the Tasm1 suit because their just not used to spider man’s suit being this different, in my opinion I love this suit it was always so unique and so satisfying to look at. This suit also suits with the goth-ish look of Tasm1.

I love the long skinny spider designs honestly. Having a small tiny spider in the middle just makes me question why it's even there if you can barely see it.
So glad you're deciding to cover this incredible suit. This is my second favorite live-action suit. Love the way it shimmers during the night scenes, love the streamlined web pattern, the long, skinny, and segmented chest logo, and I love the shades of red and blue they used. And the lack of raised webbing makes the silhouette and dynamic posing pop out so much more. I don't care if you think it looks like a basketball; basketballs are dope. That's not a negative, and it's also a cringe critique to make.

This suit makes him feel like a spider, and by that i mean a creepy stealthy predator, and thats what he was trying to be in the movie since he made it to go out and hunt criminals
Btw- the web design on the basketball head suits, head, is not even a web. It’s freaking squares! that’s how dumb this suit is. The horizontal lines at the top of the mask become the vertical lines on the lower half.

This is why I enjoy the PS4 Spider-Man suit and The TASM 1 suit. The PS4 suit feels like a love letter to what Isomniac pays tribute to everything Spidey.
But people thought the PS4 suit should just be the classic suit. No body armor just him being in a cloth suit that gets torn up after every fight. Because Peter's your average ordinary Joe who isn't super smart.
But he IS super smart hence he made the TASM 1 suit of things he had in and around his city and his house. Heck he even made webshooters from wristwatches his Uncle used. Whereas the Advanced Suit feels like it's a culmination of Peter's years and experience as a crimefighter.. the whit3 and red sections help protect his body from blunt weapons and firearms and other Metas. The blue is meant for aerodynamics. It's part compression suit part battlesuit.
Both suits have their detractors and haters and I don't pay them so much mind. I enjoy the Suits.
Heck I have a suit IRL I feel is underrated; the Last Stand Suit. It's comfy, feels like I could sleep in it and it's color scheme is badass

My main issue with it is the belt, I've seen ones that make it split from the middle and look much more visually appealing it's probably a personal thing, I do wish the second movie just improved on this design rather than returning completely to the classic suit. Maybe give it the white eyes since the second had a much more friendly neighborhood take than the first and cut the segmenting of the Spider logo, make the belt a bit thicker and longer, and color it a bit brighter, and I think it would've been perfect
TASM1 is the first spiderman movie i’ve ever seen and I absolutely loved it. The appearance of spiderman was so cool and it really showed the emotions of Peter Parker.
When i think about vengeance hero. I thought that “Damn. Having bat hunting you is scary. BUT HAVING A SPIDER hunting you is something else.”
I absolutely love this suit. It's different, darker and it represents a dark part in Peter's life. The Dark colours mixed with the texture looks great. I love that long and skinny symbol too, just because. I like the yellow eyes, I like the white eyes people edit on it too, I personally think it might look great with black lenses if they weren't yellow, but it might end up looking like the Superior suit.

The TASM1 suit is my favorite Spider-Man suit. It's intimidating and sleek, and illustrates his character in that movie.

I like how this suits web pattern isn't curvy like a web. The lines are very straight.
What I love is, TASM 1 is sort of like a "What If Spider-Man Never Caught His Uncles Killer". Most others have him catch him and instantly become a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, but this peter didn't. And he never would, but saving people and the city was instead what made him in to the friendly neighborhood Spider-man. I might be reading too much in to it, but I like TASM 1
A lot of people shitted on TASM suit but I personally loved it especially with the yellow lenses, it really looked like a teenager first attempt at making a superhero costume and it also fit the look of vengeance that Peter had at the time that he made it in the film. I remember being so hyped for the TASM video game just so that I could play with this suit and was happy when Spider-Man PS4 added it in the game

I personally love both TASM suits. I like how it folds and crease as he moves around. PS4 version is also a favorite of mine because it looks like the next step evolution from TASM 1 if they didn't go back to the OG design for the sequal.
The first time I actually started analyzing the TASM1 suit was in the PS4 game and I came to the conclusion that the suit is fucky, I just kept finding new details and the suit can be best described as a rabbit hole.

I do love the maroon coloring of the suit, it brings me back to a rubber toy I found in a Forrest back in the day. And though I love the design from his chest upwards, I believe the arms and legs are way too complicated and dumb. Like we have normal webbing on the mask and chest, but for the arms we break the red parts up and not web the whole thing all the way?
The same goes for the boots, all they needed was to continue the webbing but they have like 3 different designs there. It’s as if they wanted to go with a plain no webbing in one sketch drawing, but also wanted a single line boot, yet also wanted a webbed boot and so they settled for all 3 in one. Nah
And finally, the eyes… I like them, they fit perfectly but there is a catch. In every iconic shot of the movie and in the posters, his lenses appear more silvery rather than straight yellow. I hate the mustard eyes look, but a plain white would contrast so much with the maroon, so I would change it to silver
First one is serious, brutal, straight to the point. I like the yellow eyes a lot cause it makes things look like their gonna get done quick. His logo is COOL it's not lame at his. It's fun to look at and you can't deny. Idk why ppl judge cause it's not going anywhere. It's on Netflix and I'm happy they made this movie
my real issue with the TASM 1 suit is that i feel like the blue could've been replaced with black and the Ditko references could've been leant into more, but even then the real hangup i have is the eyes. not so much them being yellow or small, but two specific things: they're placed weirdly on the mask in a way that doesn't feel natural (they have too steep of an angle for one, i'd rather they be tilted more downwards) and the blue rims around the lenses annoy me like nobody's business. if they were black, i'd have much less of a problem with it, but the blue lens frames just feel like the kind of unnecessary change that other modern redesigns do. it certainly takes me out of the menacing aspect the suit is going for.

might be a hot take but I like how much blue-er the arms are.
The thinner red stripes on the arms(this goes for the asm2 suit too) make for a good compromise to the arm segmenting issue I've been seeing as of late,
keeping the red but making it so that the blue is always visible.
Plus, I love the blue on the fingers, giving the hands a reverse-fingerless gloves look, like Miles.
I remembered hating the Tasm 1 suit when the movie came out, just because of the yellow lenses and the patterns of the suit. But when I got older the more I started to appreciate the suit and I personally think this is one of the best modern Spider-Man suits, same with the tasm 2 suit. They’re both better than any of the MCU spidey suits that we’ve gotten.

I think the eyes were yellow because of Tobey's suit. In the posters he was always in a sunset that made his eyes look golden like, wich is the reason why some figures of Tobey's spider have lamps under his mask. And I think this is a neat reference
The Amazing Spiderman suits are my favorite live action suits not only was it unique but we also got the best comic accurate live action suits in the second movie. I love both suits but the first movie suit is my favorite
Thank you…. I love this suit and movie so much and when you love something and the majority seems to to feel different, it feels like you’re the only one. So when hearing what you’re saying, I feel relieved that I’m not the only one that appreciates it for the unique creation that it is and it’s relation to this version of Peter… hope they bring it back in the spider-verse movies to come

I love the tasm suit I recently played through the remastered ps4 game on pc nd wore that suit through 95% of the playthrough and that includes the main campaign and all three dlcs and it was awesome it felt like the amazing spiderman 1 game had gotten a great sequel where he kept the cool suit what an experience.

The Garfield films had 2 very interesting suits the first was a very different suit from previous designs especially when compared to the rami suit.
I like the spider logo on the first suit it just feels more definitive the suit design feels new but recognisable.
The second I also really like at first i thought it was a straight up rami copy but the design grew on me and is really cool to see on screen especially with the big lens even Holland was jealous of Andrew suit from BTS if I remember rightly cause of how real and practical it was.
I like everything about this suit except for the yellow eyes. I like the look you see when the yellow is covered by the sunglass lenses. upon further reflection, the yellow works for like a reflection of light off the lenses... a little reflection but still noticeable.
