Brought in Happy Tears.... Always loved the Tristar, so many memories flying Gulf Air in the 80's as often as 3 to 6 times a year being a kid till my teens and yes my Mom worked 2 decades for Gulf Air I always loved Gulf Air Painted in this pattern not the latest one.... the 3 Strips, the Falcon and the word Golden Falcon.... oh yeah i was part of the kids club "Young Golden Falcons".. those were the days....
Grandpa who was in the merchant navy. He had to fly outside india alot😊. He s got a whole collection of tickets, boarding passes from the 80s 90s etc. across airlines like gulf air, air india, catthay, the retro jet airways, Kuwait airways, Indian airlines, east west , his most favourite airline was QANTAS he particularly held on to it as he had some really nice Australian friends in Adelaide , I was even surprised to get an emirates ticket from 94¡😊. Thank you for reminding me of his travels❤
I remember flying in 70s,80s and I remember those tickets that looked like bank cheque books. Yes there were scented towels, and I remember that plastic fans in each seat in airindia 707s. I also remember the gulf air VC 10 and Boac VC 10.. before gulf air it was called gulf Aviation and they had BAC 111 aircraft with back entrance at the tail end similar to indian airlines caravelle in those days. I remember Santa Cruz Airport which had one terminal for domestic and international flights in the 70s one at each end.
