So many details on a build, I bet the book you have on the Stepchild is huge just to keep things straight. Going to be awesome seeing the Stepchild back on the trails. Another great video really enjoy the technical side of what y’all do. Chris you’re a genius.
Carbide bits for tile/glass!!! I almost gave up while installing my RockHard4x4 harness bar. I used oil with their provided cobalt bit, I tried other cobalt bits with oil. I worked for 4 hrs without completing a single hole. In a last ditch effort, I tried a carbide bit intended for glass and tile with oil. My thinking was glass is a “super-hard, brittle material”… the cage is some of the hardest metal we’ve had to deal with, what the hell? Let’s give it a shot. That bit cut through the hardened cage like butter. Finished the entire job in under 20 mins. Chris, when you’re ready to cut the stepchild’s stock cage-try CARBIDE.
I hope someone is writing this all down. So many little details and changes! Chris is The Master at ingenuity. Poor Kevin, all alone ..in the house..bored..wait - where’s Brit, and what’s she doing? Hmmm…. Bri does a walk-in, Kevin “Must Go Wheeling” just can’t contain himself. See y’all at TrailHero! LiteBriteNationFixation!
Nice to see the upgrade on the shop lights. Now I think it's time to get Chris a well-deserved upgrade from the garage torpedo heater, winter is coming!!!!
I THINK YOU JUST SAVED ME! I put on DStrac JL 76 axles and it came with steering…well it’s for a JL and I put it on my JK. I guarantee I have the same issue at the pitman arm! I will check tomorrow
Question for Chris. Those drill bits seem pretty good. Can you tell me what the benefit is to using those as opposed to just using Step Bits? Thanks! Lots of good info here.
what you need to do is build a roll cage that can be pressurized with CO2 and you can toss the air compressor, just use the roll cage for airing up tires
Intersting that you don’t have the draglink flip. Draglink knuckle end still on the bottom of knuckle eye instead of flipped to top of knuckle eye. Is there is a reason for not flipping it?
L/B. Would wish to see how much this rig called 'Stepchild' actually weighs ? ? Appreciate the detailed analysis going into this re-building phase, what factory OEM parts are left of this said Jeep ! V.
yikes... a portable refrigerator ad took over your video at about the point where Chris was pointing out the problem while boxing in the towers... probably a youtube problem, but it wouldn't return to your videos... your viewing metrics may be skewed.
Love video
Missed Brit..
17:20 aww ❤❤❤
Chris is an amazing talent!
Can’t wait to see that thing wheeled!

I’d personally like to see some more of Chris’s Disco build!
Makes me happy to know chris is a B5 guy. 😅 such a great platform.
Yes to wheeling!!!

They are very lucky to have Chris as a master fabricator they are very hard to come by. Chris does amazing work.
@@joshbuck5877 Imagine if Chris could build as fast as his mind works.

So happy for you guys to be able to wheel the stepchild soon. But always enjoy seeing chris building things.
Chris you definitely nailed it 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤
Living your best lives!

I have both the tie rod and drag link from RK . And I agree, they are beefy! Wish i lived near you guys because i would love Chris to work on my Jeep
The clips at the end are the best.
Chris I do not know how you don’t get confused, with everything that you do. 😮😊
"One Year Later..." What a difference a year makes! Cars gone, house and property gone, Chris gone...!
Looks like Chris has a lot of projects to do. Happy Trails to all at LBN!
We went to that moonshine place after climbing Cling man's Dome bad move lol
Awesome job chris 👍🏽
Finally!!!!❤️❤️💯🤙
great job.
You guys are to much but I love it.
Ya'll keep er goin 😂😂
*wayne voice: Chris F baby and the F is for fix. 😂😂
Good job
Great video thank you!
What are y'all gonna do about the loose nut behind the wheel?
Chris just makes any video better.
Think he should test his skills on the Lite Brite viewer build and bless my K20 with his touch. Lmao...
Waiting on my steering from RK for my new axle swap!!😃
Where did you (Chris)😆 get the tie rod clamp for PSC

Flipped my jlu yesterday 😅 guess it’s time for some upgrades
Question for Chris. Those drill bits seem pretty good. Can you tell me what the benefit is to using those as opposed to just using Step Bits? Thanks! Lots of good info here.
You should just go with the genright cage for the JL.
what you need to do is build a roll cage that can be pressurized with CO2 and you can toss the air compressor, just use the roll cage for airing up tires
You need about 4 more of Chris. LiteBrite cloning program maybe?
Why don’t you make a strut bar for the back? That would make it easier
My dad could build all those crazy things that his mind came up with, but he was a rocket scientist. What's Chris's excuse?

Is there is a reason for not flipping it?
Ya it would smash the frame with the up travel we have
@@LiteBrite good to know .. Thanks. I figured there was a reason.
Can't believe they be just leaving us hanging like that we've been dying to see this hit the trail.
13th from Wisconsin 👊🏻💪🏻
When are y’all going to be on 24 hour hell and back ?????????
Buy a magnet broom from harbor freight buy the big magnet broom they pick up all the steal shavings in the floor even nailed
Love the videos! Question though, if given the chance, would you use the stepchild to do 24 hours hell and back?
They have asked every year and no we’re not really interested in wheeling for 24 hours. 2 12 hour days would be nice
@@LiteBrite thank you for answering.
Kevin wants to go play!!!
LoL... E brakes and Anti lock.... get over it!!!❤
Retired until Kevin breaks another vehicle!
Really surprising you havent put a real cage in that yet
All I care about is the Jimny! Lol.
👍
Well the next video should be insane then!!
Oh, just wait…
NEXT BUILD IS THE TRAILER???
It definitely needs some TLC too
👍❤️ #Jellynation
Videoed like this is a reminder of why not to do it if you don’t have extra money.
No the poor guy has to fix his own stuff after he finishes all yours
L/B. Would wish to see how much this rig called 'Stepchild' actually weighs ? ? Appreciate the detailed analysis going into this re-building phase, what factory OEM parts are left of this said Jeep ! V.
Once upon a time we weighed it at a CAT scale & it was nearly 7K lbs
All you need now is a car for sale and you could get a tax brake for a car lot business
I think it might be time for someone to become a mommy.... :-) @17:00

Not trying to be disrespectful or rude but how can you be bored in a house with a woman like that in it. I'd be busy all day😊
RUclips is playing anti-Trump ads in your videos
First
is bri single lol
She is not. 😊
