I like the concept of training your brain to increase its capacity to revise. We often talk about learning how to memorize more and more but not so much abotu revision.
Sister, jazakallah Khairan!!! This video is for me, I was memorizing some time ago, I opened RUclips and this video came across me, it's indication from Allah , that don't worry, take your time and memorize with ease and revise everyday.
You should revise your Quran portion throughout the day during your your five daily prayers, sunnah and nafl prayers. This will reduce the amount you have to revise and also make your Hifdh stronger and give you more motivation and you'll have time to memorise more. Also, one of the major reasons to memorise Quran is so that you can recite it in your salah instead of reading the same short Surahs.
This is a great tip! Do you have to think about which surahs you want to recite before you pray? Because I find I go into autopilot if I don’t do that. I am a beginner though (also a convert) so I ONLY know some of the shorter surahs right now. Alhamdullilah I’ve been able to memorize the last 11 surahs of Juz Amma.
@@brittanysimpson7926 Yes, I usually decide on what Surah or pages I want to recite in prayer and outside prayer when I want to review what I’ve memorised. However, sometimes I will improvise and choose whatever surah I feel like reciting in Prayer. Choosing what you want to recite can make you more conscious and focused in prayer rather than being on auto. Also, memorising more Quran will give you more variety than to only read the same short surahs in your prayers which may become routine and auto. MashaAllah, you have made great progress in memorizing the last 11 Surahs. I would suggest completing your memorization of the whole of Juzz Amma. And whatever you memorise, continually use it in your prayers in order to solidify what you’ve memorized and also revise with a friend or a teacher if you can. Learning basic Arabic and understanding what you have memorized is also highly important and help keep your Hifdh stronger. And then naturally, the more you memorise, the more you will have to revise.

thank you for this video, i have a job so it’s a bit difficult to set goals like “i will finish memorizing in 3,4,5 years”. building a routine like this seems more doable for me
MashaAllah BarakAllaho feeki Amazing tips You are doing an amazing job. Quality not quantity. blacklist some common words they use. also you should probably sit a bit further, so the camera doesn't always autofocus on your hands when you talk.
