    Hi Tasos, awesome videos - all of them. I am trying to replace the transfer case bearings in my 722.9 4 Marco (2011 year with 160k km). I have figured out how to take everything apart and reassembling it - thanks to your videos. What I have no information on is how to shim or preload the bearing races to ensure there is no play between the output shafts... Mercedes will not offer advice and nobody knows anything on any forum. I am happy to pay for your advice....

    Simple to assemble anyway, the designers are still magicians to me, hahaha.

    Also it is good to clean solenoids with fresh ATF oil and use magnet to clean the mesh from metal particules inside.

      yes, great advice!
      I saw the MB video about that then thought... a magnet only picks up iron not brass or aluminium.

      The only thing I can do is drive it easy with shifting and replace ATF

      @@glasser2819 of course it wont pick up brass and aluminum but what else can you do? Then the only solution is to buy new ones.

    Hello, thanks to your video I have cleaned my block + plate + solenoid valves.
    Thank you.
    On the other hand, I have a doubt.
    It was not so easy to put the whole thing back on the car.
    When I installed the set on the car I paid attention to the large electrical outlet & was able to finish but I did not pay attention to the plastic B3 tube.
    I inserted this tube correctly & perpendicularly to its place in the block (I did not mount this tube on the gearbox) solenoid valves.
    So when reassembling the assembly this tube was on the assembly that I was holding in my hands.
    From what I understand this tube is only used to tighten the clutch in first & seventh gear.
    I have been driving since Sunday I haven't noticed anything in particular.
    If I succeeded in assembling the whole, that is to say that the plug came out well & that I was able to correctly tighten the 9 screws of the block, is it possible that this B3 tube was not mounted correctly?
    If this tube would have been badly mounted can we understand it without disassembly in relation to the reactions of the car?

    very good video. I have a question, I have been working with a 722.9 gearbox for more than 1 month, I changed all the clutch discs with an international pressure master kit, everything new, the orings and rings are also new. I have a leak in the K2, the K2 clutch engages but loses pressure. Perform the test with air using the test holes indicated in the manual. Has it happened to anyone?

    I've got a 2015 C400 4Matic, with 722.9 and tuned by a well known local guy, took it in physically. He claims +90HP & +100TQ, but I know it's rough on trans & felt it slip once. I'm going to do weistec upgrade eventually, only have 60K miles thus far. Also, common complaint is sticking downshift 1 solenoid, any issues/replacements from dealing with these?

    I’ve been advised it’s the Valve body, can this be possible ?

      @Parsa Salmasy absolutely not lmao. If anything its worse but only when cold. When its warmed up it shifts fine. Ive come to think its semi normal

    • @parsasalmasy
      @parsasalmasy Год назад

      @@OGYELLOW when it’s cold and the first gas u give the car jumps right? All u see it’s the RPM jumping all over the place??
      Bc if so that’s the same issue I have as well. From what I heard a tune Fixes that OR try cleaning your crankcase breather valve. Someone on the forums said that work… there’s other that said it doesn’t jump either when u start from Sport mode.

    • @OGYELLOW
      @OGYELLOW Год назад

      @Parsa Salmasy no, mine does not do that. Only slight slip from 2-3 but rpm does not surge which make me think mine is somewhat ok/normal. I dont think tune gonna help you. You might need conductor plate/vgs update

    I am rebuilding a 722.6 for a S55 amg. I'm thinking of removing the cushion plates in order to get firmer shifts also trying to add extra frictions. What do you think?

    • @nv1493
      @nv1493 5 лет назад +3

      Probly too late on this reply but don't do it. More frictions don't do that much but will generate lots of extra heat. Line pressure is what primarily controls engagements.

    What was the point of this video? You didn't even mention opening and resealing all the servos. The clutches don't go bad unless there is an issue with the apply pressure caused by leaking servos or a fault with the valve body. The biggest issues with the 722.9 are the speed sensors and wear in the planetaries. There is rarely a need to replace clutches unless there is catastrophic damage.
