      Thank you. Yes it's been a long journey. It's still so much easier to speak to a live audience than a camera, but I've improved over time and with lots of practice. Appreciate you following this channel for so long.

    I’ve done something similar to this for years. I teach movement and 30 years of observing myself and others and teaching “posture” is how it just happened. I know injuries before people tell me their injuries. I can cut through so much time and get to a simplified solution quickly. I had to learn on myself the most and then it became more of how to connect with someone than to point out what’s “wrong”.
    I look forward to learning more with NLP.

    Damon, thank you for this. I had the pleasure of working with an NLP practitioner several years ago (and hope to work with you someday, too). You're spot on regarding the authenticity and connection. One of the things that really impressed me with my prior work with NLP was how insanely tuned in the person was with me (even though we worked predominately over the phone), which fostered immense trust and candor. That level of connection was mind-boggling, and it really helped me understand my subconscious barriers, and trust that I was okay and that I could change for the better.

    • @DamonCart
      @DamonCart  5 лет назад

      Indeed, when a practitioner takes the time to develop these skills they are quite powerful.

    Paul Eckman (spelling might be incorrect) has a few books about micro expressions. One of them is Telling Lies and I can't recall the one where the CIA paid him to go to PNG and study the Pygmy tribes back in the 60's.... totally worth a read if you're into this stuff. This is such a great aspect of communication!

    Liking your sensory acuity explanation. Similar concepts with osteopathy between learning the physical assessment techniques and what we call 'listening' which is following the subtle tension and restrictions in the body using our hands which some practitioners don't take advantage of. If you don't practice it, there is so much information that you can miss.

    • @DamonCart
      @DamonCart  4 года назад

      Definitely. There are NLP sensory acuity drills where you put your hands on people and feel the difference in the tension in a person's body as they think about different ideas that trigger emotions. Humans are communicating nonverbally constantly.

    Hi Damon. thank you for all- sharing knowledge as well as giving encouragement. On the 2nd day of this course I realize I’m slow because I’ve always had trouble with left and right when it comes to looking at people or looking at myself in the mirror (no reading problems at all, and I’m really great at word search puzzles). So by the time I think about which side someone is looking at, I’m “late “ already. People move their eyes really fast! Any help?

    • @DamonCart
      @DamonCart  3 года назад

      I'm not completely clear on what you're asking. If you're tracking peoples' eye movements, first don't concern yourself so much with trying to figure the person out. This is a mistake most people make when they begin practicing this. First start off just by noticing where their eyes go. Just pay attention. After awhile you can start asking yourself what they might be doing internally when they're moving their eyes like that. Stay in curiosity rather than trying to draw a conclusion. The insights will eventually emerge. It takes patience.

      I am not a great communicator as I have often missed the signals and now by reading people better I can anticipate where they are and then counter act their fears etc. by listening and watching first. Thanks a mil

      @@DamonCart I think there is so much to reading people that it's hard for me to understand it completely. I find myself catching people in BS talk all the time..not to say it's hard to spot because I live around the superficial nightlight. But for the most part I can generally tell if I need to be on high alert with someone or not. I honestly could get lost in this stuff. It's such an escape for my day to day.

    Have you watched your videos without sound? Do it and watch your hand movements. Are you distracted from the message by the hand movements?

    • @DamonCart
      @DamonCart  5 лет назад

      I'm not sure I completely understand your question. With the sound off I can't hear the message so how could it be distracting? Hand gestures are used for emphasis like a tonal inflection. Do you find them distracting?

      You can get the free stuff I'm offering and then unsubscribe and you'll never hear from us again. We have to get it to you some way. If not by email, then do you want us to physically mail it to you? If you want someone to call you, all you have to do is set an appointment.
      And yes, we are a business. It costs us money to operate and (I know it sounds crazy but) my employees do like to get paid for their work. I seriously doubt you work for free, do you?
      I would love to hear how we are preying on poor, innocent people who are just trying to better themselves. Enlighten me.
      Yes, we have paid services like coaching and group coaching. If you can't afford those, feel free to take advantage of the 1000+ free videos you will find here on my channel and all of the free videos and PDFs I give away in addition to that.
      Are you the type of person who yells at the employee of a grocery store giving away free samples because they won't give you everything you want in the grocery store for free?
