As someone who use honey frequently I prefer using spoon. I never make a mess, when you rotate it it also wont flow from it and generally I don't feel the need to have extra tool in my kitchen. I had like 3 or 4 already but were never really using it so that's that. But if someone likes it then sure use it! 😊
The same exact thing works with a spoon or even for everything else that has that viscosity, such as wax for waxing hair (using also the simple wood stick)
And what he's not telling you is that if you turn it upside down and twirl it the Honey will flow upward onto the handle until it reaches your fingers it's very cool trick
The point of the grooves is to increase surface area do the honey has room to stick. Stopping allows all those channels of honey to empty so you're transporting 3 tablespoons of honey rather than just one. Niche thing to have, but nice if you snack on honey a lot. You can accomplish the same thing with a disposable wood skewer or two (avoid metal)

Wow. This week I have learned that kids don’t have kneecaps till 6 and now this. I am about to be 28 years old. Loving that I’m just now learning all of these cool things 😂
Since no one is answering the questions about cleaning, i looked it up- After use, rinse with warm water. Or dip in hot tea cause why waste the honey? After rinsing, give it a good shake to remove excess water. Wipe it down with a towel to get it as dry as possible. Prop it up vertically (like in a cup or jar) so air can circulate around it better. It may take anywhere from 6 hrs to a day to dry depending on the humidity. Some sources say 2 days but tbh that sounds excessive
I use silicone spoons and wash them after each use bc like where do i put the comb? It was a fun idea and felt fancy when i had them but not as practical as they seem. You’re better off with a dispenser for regular use.

Spoon is easier to clean. But this is just cool.
Leave it in the hot water of your tea or something for a few seconds and it all dissolves off

Wood smells and has a taste. Stainless, on the other hand, has neither.

i bought one of these because it creates a perfect drizzle. forks and spoons almost always unevenly drizzle and you end up with the big glob first
i think that's the reason for its invention so we can have perfect honey drizzles with it

This one just looks cooler but a spoon does the same thing and it's easy to clean!
I always thought it just looked like a fun little beehive
What do you do with the honey trapped in the grooves?
Don’t need a honey stick to do that but it’s a learning lesson for inexperienced cooks!❤
I knew that and its so helpful bc i tried it with a spoon and spilled honey all over(it wasnt wasted)
It's actually also for when you want honey in your tea or milk, instead of a spoon, you use this and it dissolves better!
Oh that's the purpose 😮😅😂
You should experiment with different types of water with your standard honey. Like Voss, Fiji, smart water, etc.
He said in another video he uses spring water bc it's dechlorinated and has natural minerals
I have never used this before, but I’ve always known what it was for 😂
As someone who frequently uses a spoon to try and drizzle honey, this tool in an ingenious invention
A spoon also works in a similar fashion of you spin it around a few times.
Doesn’t give a even drizzle though
Also kills the enzymes of the honey
I heard metal actually reduces the reason honey is so good for you, so I've tried to stop using metal spoons when I have honey in my tea
I’m allot to go play with honey for the next ten mins so thank you for that😂

Isnt that the same with a regular knife? You turn it so it doesnt leak
Song at the beginning? 👀🙏
But why not just a spoon? It looks so cool and I wanna use it but you can do that with a spoon too
Fun fact if you have a spoonful of honey and rotate it it also won’t drip
