Jambi is the Tooliest Tool song. Surprised this didn't hit the radar. "Eulogy" is another one.
Put 10 people in a room who have never heard this song and they will all bob their heads differently until it hits that ONE PART and they'll all be magically in sync, like Wayne and Garth in the Pacer.

The talk box was invented in the 70's by Peter Frampton's dad, and he made it famous on Do You Feel Like I Do?. Jeff Beck used it as well.
It's about the birth of his son Devo H Keenan. H is also about his son. With a similar theme.
EDIT: if you want a TOOL "love song", check out both versions of Pushit. Do the Aenima version. Then follow it with Pushit from Salival Live. Same song. Completely different versions.
Probably not about Devo considering how old he was when this came out. Could be about his daughter. Or his wife. Or his mother. Or something else.
@kevinhurd6756 you have every right to be completely wrong. Maybe the benevolent sun (or is it son?) is his wife? And maybe him and his mom became one. When 2 became one. 🤦♂️ I can certainly look back on my life now and see how my 27 and 25 year old sons changed my life, but Maynard would not be capable of that. It must be done at the time they were born, or it doesn't count. 🤷🏻

Jambi was the Genie in the kids TV show PeeWees playhouse in the early 90’s. His mantra was Meka Leka Hi Meka Heiney Ho. Which the guitar riff mirrors by coincidence. When the band members noticed they named the song Jambi. And the lyrics did mention “wish it all away”

It's a talkbox. Sort of Peter Framptonish.
It's not "damn my eyes"... It's "dim my eyes". And the effect on guitar is a talkbox... In a nutshell the sound of the guitar is sent to the mouth via a tube, with his own mouth the guitarist can modulate the sound which is then picked up by a microphone.
The time signature with the vocals is iambic pentameter, which Shakespeare used. Basically iambi.
