This was so beautiful to watch. And I was so glad you finally got the big win after the (all to familiar to me) "wriggle offs" with that nice big brown. Beautiful fishing and filming Eric!
Another home run video!!! Always great cinematography, music and content. Great to see you pick up that big brownie. Keep the vids coming and keep tying top quality flies.
Our hydrographors just surveyed above Big Pine and we are within about an inch of what the April snow survey showed in 2017. There's a lot of water this year
Excellent video Eric! Beautiful brown, and that close up dry fly shot was amazing "so hard to capture" but good job dude! I'll be ordering some beads soon, excited to try them! Happy New Year to you and the Fam! Steve @blackflycreations ✌️
Congrats on the big brown and winter dry fish! Both nice surprises for sure, I've only seen rainbows come out of that stretch, and always on nymphs. Never seen the river in winter either but it's beautiful as always. Were there any discouraging signs on the road about the landslide maintenance?
They're still working on the road. I read that if they're working on it, they won't let you walk by, so keep that in mind. I've actually caught a few browns in this section now. Lucky I guess :D
Beautiful river & a great brown. Nice to hear some honest comments re: suppliers, too. So different to our trout fishing down here this time of year (or any time of year, really) We're trying to avoid the sunburn and crazy heat. Enjoyed the footage. Cheers from downunder. PP
It's still hard for me to wrap my head around the southern hemisphere having the complete opposite season. I hope you're having a solid summer down there!
@@driftstone Ha! Funny you mentioned that, it snowed all day yesterday at one of my favourite spots! Usually in the mid 30C this time of year! We've had floods and crazy cool weather for about 18mths now, so our trout fishing has been just fantastic. My son even caught a dozen or so brookies last week, a real treat for down here. Beautiful images in your video, hope you keep them coming. Cheers PP
That’s a beautiful looking canyon! The mix of snow and moss on the canyon walls is so cool. Solid brown 💪
Hi Eric. Great to see you getting out so much and enjoy life. Keep up the great work.
That brown was a LUNKER! Awesome catch. Awesome video.
Thanks 4xF, got lucky this time haha
@@driftstone you and I both put in a lot of time on the water. We deserve fish like those
Have had some great dry dropper sessions in that spot in early summer
Oh nice! Get many on the dry?

Wriggles offs happen to everyone. They're liars if they say otherwise haha.
Thanks Dave, I appreciate you
Great looking scenery, nice drone footage opening, and a great brown and one on the dry. What a great day Eric.
Thanks Andrew, I appreciate you

Thank you sir, I appreciate you!
Beautiful scenery! Miss my old California high country Sierras fly fishing trips.
This season in the Sierra should be fantastic with the great snowpack

Very nice brown indeed! Patience pays off 👍🏼! Beautiful drone shots as usual….
Thank you! 🙌
What an awesome brown! I can guarantee the Corn Fed Midge is going to put in some work out my way the next couple months. Thanks for the shoutout!
More people need to know about it, Griffiths gnats are dumb lol
Wow that is a beautiful stream. Great job out there!
It's not ugly 😂 Thanks for the watch

I've wanted to get that tight shot of a fish eating a dry for a LONG time. Everything has to be perfect.
Toad , way to go.
Hope , they fix that road to Ash Camp
They're repairing it as we speak. Should be open this spring
Beautiful brown and great video
Thanks Matt!
Wonder Job , great video , again.
Is this the McCloud River?
The meat thermometer made me chuckle 😂
No way you're going get me to hold a glass thermometer in the water for a minute lol
sweet video and nice fish!
Thanks Joab, I appreciate it!
All the best mate fae Scotland tightlines.
Thanks, tight lines to you too!

Awesome video! You’re lucky they’re rare, they are an invasive species.
nice outing E! hey you know what the regulations at Ash Creek is? I wanna go fish it but still not sure if its closed for the winter!n
Thanks dude, no clue off the top of my head for the regs there.
Very nice.
Thank you sir!
Nice brown. Try downstream hook sets. A lot of time you have almost non existent hook sets, imho.😂
Hey, I never said I was good at this :P
@@driftstone it’s all good. I admire your willingness to get after the trouts in dead of winter!
Is NorCal…north California I’m just curious
Yup, and I'm not talking about Tahoe 😂
How is the road to AH-DI-NA?
Buried under 3ft of snow 😂
@@driftstone oh lol how did you get down then?
@@Nik-gh6gz didn't go to ah di nah. Fished up higher
