Nice sound. I assuming these have the Leyland TL11 engine in them. Also same as what 142002 had in the 1990's. So I was wondering that if BR modernised these units in the 1980's with a Voith transmission. That would have given these bubble cars and the Class 117's a longer life and perhaps have made them more comfortable for the drivers as well as uprated speed to 75mph? I like these older railcars over the modern plastic.
