My thought is lizzie and josie have each other (and caroline) while hope had lost soo much of her family.. especially her mother n father.. this is my opinion 🤷🏻♀️

Klaus was a villain. I love him but he did hurt a bunch of people Alaric cared about and possessed him. Alaric and Jenna were in love and Klaus killed her. Klaus was a villain. However, he was not a villain to Hope. He was her father and he loved her very much. He was capable of being good and capable of being a hero. He was broken and realized he didn’t need to be a villain and was a hero for her. Alaric has every reason to hate Klaus and he should. That doesn’t mean he needs to act like that in front of Klaus’s grieving daughter who loved him and misses him. He should not have been a jerk to Hope about her family but he had no reason to forgive Klaus.
Hope and Alaric have like a father/daughter relationship. As for that scene with Klaus, he was talking to Elijah not Alaric but i added it to show how scared he was that her daughter would consider someone else her father
God I hope not. He's not even a good father to his own children. Oh make no mistake, I don't deny he loves his girls but sometimes I look into his eyes and I don't see a father. I see a man losing the will to go on. Sometimes, I think he wants to die...

He doesn't neglect his twins they or rather Lizzie chooses to put distance between their father cause of jealousy of Hope. If it's not the Lizzie show it's it's not worth her time. If Josie stayed with Hope and Alaric for summer without Lizzie I bet she joins in on the training and would become closer to both Hope and Alaric but young Lizzie will not tolerate that. Not until she gets older at least

I hate how he scared that Hope gonna be like his father she is equal her father and mother, Klaus do bad things but we would do anything for he's loved ones. Hope is Harley and Klaus daughter and she fight for her family like hers parents but for the world two so she like her father and mother so what she is a better version of both.
