Hey lovelies, in this video we are creating some Autumn magic using Jesmonite and embossing powder. We are using Autumnal stamps and Autumn colours to create these coasters. Autumn Jesmonite can also be ECO POURS, H20 or Aqua Resin could have the same results.

Until you get the anti-Static cloth, you can use a fabric softener sheet too. Keep it in a small zipper bag and it lasts a very long time.

So wonderfully country. All the shiny stuff is nice but these have a real cozy feel to them. Thank you for this video.
For the static cloth, you can use the sock method, or just take a dry paintbrush or makeup brush and dip it in some baby powder or cornstarch and brush onto your object before stamping with ink (I agree, versafine is the best). After embossing wait until it is cooled off and you can use a paper towel or microfiber cloth to wipe off excess powder. You can also use a small dry paintbrush to carefully remove any stray embossing powder before heat setting. Beautiful coasters.
Shouldn't use baby powder as that itself often contain oils and or moisturiser just a note.
Tbh though your unlikely to ever buy a second one even using it for allsorts from the obvious to wiping acetate especially for glitter shakers, I keep mine in a little plastic tuperware and use the loose powder in the tub for brushing moulds with a soft old makeup brush before clay
My favorite is the one with the repeat stamping with leaf, acorn, and mushrooms.

These are super cute. Great idea to use embossing powder on these! Try a fabric softener sheet until you get an anti static pouch. They look nice even though you didnt have a pouch! 🥰

They are absolutly beautiful ! You can used baby powder on a sock (several layers of sock 😉) for your anti static thing. And versamark embossing ink is better for...embossing 😁💙💙💙
Hi, lovely coasters, just a tip if you keep your heat gun further away, you can move it less and get a smoother effect t on embossing powder without o reheating your jesmonite. Xxx

Watching this in the middle of the night as I woke up & can’t get back to sleep so I was scrolling through videos & yours caught my eye & I am so happy to have watched it. My Mum has used Jesmonite in the past where as I have only used resin. I haven’t heard of the other eco-pours so I will be researching them in the next couple of days. But I have to say that what designs you picked are ones that I love!! And I am finding it hard to pick a favourite because I love how they have all come out on each colour. I think the embossing powder choice you used plus doing a repetitive design on that one colour background I think is what has wowed us all so much. But the others in the same colour embossing powder without any extra stamps to fill out the surrounding spaces I believe makes them POP!! But in keeping with what I would call earthy toned backgrounds. They aren’t bold contrasting colours like black, white etc. or pastel colours. They all compliment each other perfectly.
My only questions are:
How do you remove bubbles from Jesmonite?
Do you seal the sides & backs of Jesmonite as well if you are not putting cork board (or anything else) on the back?

Hi Claire, instead of a cloth you can use cornflour in muslin or applied with a brush. It does the same thing and is used by crafter's who emboss and stamp. Also your powder isn't melting enough. It's almost there and I understand you don't want to overheat the jesmonite, normally you'd go past the point that you do to make the surface smoother. Just my 2p, I love these coasters and the green is my fave as it's my fave colour. Thanks claire

I love them all. I use talc in an ankle sock closed with a scrunchie instead of a static bag. It works well for me. I just tap the sock over the area.

When I used to do stamping and embossing I used a knee high nylon stocking with powder in it to get rid of the static

You don't need an embossing cloth Claire. Cornflour dusted over the surface prior to stamping will do the job lovely. Also works when you're using mica flakes - dust your hands and it won't stick to them.

8:28 you can get the little static bags at rubber stamp stores. They are awesome and a must have item!!

You can use tumble dryer sheets to remove static if you haven’t got the proper cloth. Hope that helps

Claire, I had to finally order the HomeWare design colors. I played around with my other pigments a couple of days ago. They aren't doing it for me. Now I can't wait for the delivery. I love the owl and the fox best. But the whole set is awesome ❤❤❤. Owl reminds me of Tootsie Pop commercial from the 70s😅

These are brilliant, Claire! I love those stamps. For me there is no clear favourite, I love them all. I have never tried stamping or embossing, so I can't wait to try it out for myself.
You could use baby power aswell but anti static bag is not as messy to use xxx🤗
Claire Ranger Craft make an anti static pouch. I use them all the time with my card making when embossing.
U can use flour/baby powder instead of an anti static cloth. Works just the same.

Instead of using the gold pigment ink, have you tried the Versamark Watermark Ink? It's a clear sticky ink that us cardmakers use when using embossing powder. The pigment ink can sometimes "pool" on the stamp (especially with cheaper silicone or acrylic stamps) giving a less than perfect image but Versamark usually doesn't do this and "sticks" to the stamp. What also works to get rid of static is some plain flour and a soft brush. Hope this helps and, after all that, love how the coasters turned out.

Just use a fine dusting of baby powder or cornflour. Have a small soft brush to apply and brush off. I use either in paper crafting. Once you have heat embossed any powder residue will easily wipe away. Also before heat setting your powder you can wipe away stray powder with a clean fine brush it comes away easily.
U can get a static brush to that comes with powder kaisercraft I think
