Thank you! I love that you showed us two techniques. I'd like to see you sew the zipper to the bag and what that looks like. Your end product is very professional.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I bought a roll of cut off zipper tape and in just a few minutes I was able to make a tab for the end of my zipper . Great video.
Kavi M'am, your Zipper Tab techniques are very good & gives a neat finish to it!.Thanks for sharing your Knowledge. Please share more of your tips & tricks.Tc. m'am.
I love the 2nd method of making zipper tabs....like someone else said already, the tab can then be sewn into the final seaming of the bag without leaving that tiny gap. Hoopla! Thank you.
Nice tutorial on zipper tabs. I loved your sewing space. Ma'am, when you have time, please make a sewing room tour and let us know how you designed your sewing space.
Thank you! I had never seen the second technique before. I like it better as well since you can sew that fabric into the seam. The other way I've learned to not sew the tab into the side seam and then there is a tiny gap left at the end of the zipper. Now I'm always going to make tabs! Thank you!
I appreciate learning how to elongate the zipper for a variety of fabric and zipper sizes. I use upcycled design showroom samples, and have to work with what I get.
Just found you as the instructions for the zipper tab I received in a kit made no sense. Your video was perfect. You were slow enough and your camera work was great.
These are just methods to make your zipper ends neat and it also protects your zippers coming under needle while sewing .I usually cut my zippers approximately half inch small than width of my fabric and it totally depends on you how long you want your tabs to be shown on either side. If you still have any query do let me know😊
I tried using an old (but non-metal) zip with the second method, but my sewing machine repeatedly refused to stitch through or over the zip. I replaced the needle with a new one, in case the needle had worn too much doing this, but I'm still having problems. Maybe the only answer is to buy new zips!
Old zipper will not make any problem, may be you are using wrong needle. Use some heavy needle like size 18/110 . If nothing works out then rotate the side wheel by hand when you reach the zipper.
@@SparkleKavi thank you. Your pouch is so lovely...Would you happen to have a pattern that you could share? And the zipper was so pretty. Where can I purchase that type of zipper?
@@umrayan7010 I don't have pattern yet but I might make video on this in future. Not sure where you based out of but you can get it anywhere in USA. I am also in process to sell them but won't be available until next year.

Can we use these techniques for the chain we put behind the dress?
For dresses you need to keep top end open so you can't use these techniques here but for down side you can use second one
Which city you are from? The work is really nice and tidy. Would like to learn more
Do you have a pattern for the pink bag you showed at the end?
Sorry I do not have ready pattern that I can share immediately. If I make it in future I will share it with you in future.
Iwant to install a thick zipper for my travel bag. stich over the zip is difficult I feel. How can i go about with the zip?
If you are using thick zipper like metal , then try to remove few zipper teeths at the ends
The 2nd method I can use a metal zipper , thanks
Where did u get zipperpulls
I bought at local store in India, but you can get in HobbyLobby or Walmart if you in USA
Just found you as the instructions for the zipper tab I received in a kit made no sense. Your video was perfect. You were slow enough and your camera work was great.
Thanks alot
Could you show how you actually put the second zipper in?
What machine are you using
Novel computerized Designer 200
Why did you randomly cut the zipper without measuring it at all? What if it doesn’t fit now?
These are just methods to make your zipper ends neat and it also protects your zippers coming under needle while sewing .I usually cut my zippers approximately half inch small than width of my fabric and it totally depends on you how long you want your tabs to be shown on either side.

Video needs more details....length of zipper, measurement of fabric, so on
Noted.
