Great clip. Getting a hen all fired up is just as much fun as getting a big ole Tom all fired up. Last season I got to experince the same thing, That darn hen was ticked off and making sounds I had never heard before, Worked her in right to the blind window , could of tapped her on the head with my broadhead lol or just reached out of the blind and grabbed her by the neck, Thanks for the link , Looking very forward to following you guy's.
Awesome vid! I just called in a hen yesterday that puffed up an strutted like a boy, then she kicked the crap out of my decoy! Unfortunately there was a nice tom following her, and when she wrecked my decoy, they both took off. So fun talking to hens!
Well I'm getting pretty old, and hoping this will be my first turkey season so I don't know squat. But that sounds like some pretty damn good calling right there
Get a glove on that hand. Stands out like a sore thumb. If i can see it you can be assured a sharp eye gobbler can and will before you even see him. Use fingerless if you cant use a striker with a glove on.
A good tactic to draw in a henned up Tom - agitate the hen and drag him along. Doesn't mean it always works but hey. Slates in general are good calls, allot of hunters can't purr with a mouth call for example. If you team up like that and bring them past the shooter the caller gets a good show. Otherwise I tend not to use calls that require allot of motion when their headed in.
Fantastic segment of some excellent hen talking, Thank you for sharing....
Thanks, this is one that wont be forgotten. We are looking for more of these moments.
Haha! Busted! The last 30 seconds. She started the putt.

Nice video though. Love to listen to hens!!! Best teachers out there on calling if you listen and study them.
We really enjoy a good hen fight as much as calling in a nice tom. The big boy I think was just to smart for us
it would be funny if it was another guy calling back lol
Lol!

+Justin Schroeder Sound's like an exciting time you had, hope your decoy survived the wreckage

Excellent slate work!
some times i like calling in the hens more than the gobblers
I agree. Although it sure would have been nice to see a longbeard trailing her
Yes all the hens i have called in none of them had toms

Keep your camo glove ON. They got great eyesight and pick up your hands.
She really wanted to talk turkey! Did she finally catch the movement of your striker?

Its made by Cody Calls and is the Woodsman Series glass call with a light hickory striker. Thanks for watching and for any comments, good or bad.
