Talk about a room goal! Love the clean lines, and just the pop factor the room has. Really clever idea to use the laundry room as a CD shrine room, really shows of the creativity of the space.
Thanks so much my friend! Really appreciate you stopping by. If you dug this video I just posted a tour of my new music room (moved a couple of months ago). Check that one out and let me know which you like better \m/
Hello Brandon, That was quick! and WOW, you have the best collection layout of anyone! I love the storage that is like shop racks. Shelves are great, but being able to flip through the albums, CD or Vinyl and actually see the artwork for each album as you do so is special. As well as all the display racks, and separate CD room, the things dreams are made of! Also your Hi-Fi is progressing at a pace. You've done the right thing, in that you have full functionality with quality items which are well setup and it looks stunning, and you have cable risers, even I don't have those, lol. Although they do have a scientific basis, I'm with you in that their main purpose is they make the setup look neat and organised. Finding quality items cheap is always a plus too. As ever, a wonderful room/collection/system tour. Thank You! Cheers Tudor
Thanks my friend. I've tried to take it pieces by piece since I can't really afford to put together the "system I want" lol. On thing that really has helped it the idea of buying quality intro pieces and just selling them on ebay if they don't really work and keep going from there. I actually wend through 4 different units as preamps before settling on this one and each time I sold the one I bought for at least what I paid for it lol. That system for quality pieces worked much better than I anticipated. If you have any advice moving forward please let me know. Totally respect you Hi Fi views and knowledge and I'm totally still learning.
Ha Ha. Thanks so much! I appreciate you watching. I will actually be doing my 2019 room tour video this week if you would like to see the new set up. Not much different than this, but a few new things.
That my friend is what every laundry room should look like! Fantastic job, following your various setups over the years has been one hell of a trip. Still remember all the way back to the very first one, still diggn' em' and given your gypsy travelin' tendencies, already lookin' forward to the next! - Lj
Greetings brother! Just wanted to say, from the bottom of my heart, that I absolutely LOVE your music room! I’ve always dreamed of having a room like that as well, but it will take me a lifetime to acquire even a quarter of your music collection lmao. Love your audio equipment as well! Also, the fact that you have such a broad taste in all genres of music, just like myself, makes it even more of a joy for me watching your videos. I’ve been a subscriber for a while (maybe almost 2 years), and have seen the older videos of your collection and your old music rooms, which I fell in love with from the first sight! Those videos are the reason why I subbed to begin with! Thank you for sharing a piece of yourself here for people like me to enjoy! Many blessings brother!
Thanks so much for those extremely kind words! I truly, from the bottom of my heart, appreciate you taking the time to listen to anything I have say about music lol. Truly is my pleasure!!
mrhoffame you are very welcome my dear! And I am so happy that you have such a profound love for music, especially in all formats! It’s like you get a different experience with a certain album in every format! That’s amazing! You have so much passion in music, and your collection shows how much of a connoisseur you are! I can tell how much of a pleasure it is for you to talk about music on your channel. I’m the same way as well! It is also my pleasure to not only tell you about my admiration for your music collection but also to be a subscriber to your amazing channel! Looking forward to more videos displaying your collection as well as any pickups you may have acquired lately! 😃😀
The CD room is too cool - reminds me of the "back" room in a video store, minus the swinging doors. Lovely as always, Brandon. I knew before you said it that the cable elevators were for aesthetics and not your normal audiophile stuff, and they do look nice.
Isn’t RUclips a good leveller! I thought my collection of 200 albums and three hundred cd’s was borderline too much, then you see this. I love your place, can I please move in and never leave.
Ha Ha!! Thanks my friend. If you are ever in town feel free to come visit. I would let you move in but I don't think I have any more room lol!! I posted an updated tour visit about a month ago. If you get a chance check that one out too :)
I think you were right the first time. How can we still retain the bond we have with our albums if we have so many. It is like collecting numbers just for the sake of it. When I had a handful of vinyl albums I knew every track and all the words but now I don't have that so I am downsizing my cd's and vinyl to about 200 and hopefully less.. Maybe the magic will return.
hey Bro thanks for the tour, awesome! I Like the Timeframes they received good reviews back in the day. I hope you are doing well, Merry Christmas to you and yours
Amazing setup my friend. I really like Polk Audio Speakers. They aren’t generally thought as top of the line, but every time I discount Polk they amaze me.
Thanks so much my friend. I haven't really had a pair of Polk Speakers since my surround sounds system a few years ago. For the price I thought they did a pretty good job. Oh, just to be clear these are not Polk Speakers. Only the sub is. The Main Speakers are TimeFrame700 made by DCM. Thanks for watching!! : )
Ha Ha! Thanks man. That is truly the idea. I figured if going to record stores is what I enjoy so much, what would be better than living in one lol. So I try to make thing give off that same feel. Besides, why set a simple sofa table against a wall when you can have a cool record or cd shelf there instead lol.
Uh-Oh!.. I better call Dr. Luv to see if he's available 😁 I think you're the one with the most box sets I know.. I would love to see you do a response to the 1,2,3... Box! contest that's going on right now, to see how far you can go 😊 Wow!.. Love that new CD room. Looks great with those CD wall display things. It was a great idea to turn the laundry room into that CD room.
Oh yeah. Calling Dr. LUV!!!! You see those black tiles under my speakers here in the video? When I went out to buy those I was in the store trying to decide which ones I wanted that that Love's Themes song came on lol. I was in the isle in this hardware store LAUGHING MY A$$ off thinking about Dr. Luv lol. Problem is I as by myself so I know other people thought I might have been a bit insane lol. I did see your response to that contest and found his channel. I'm gonna do a response today :)
Brandon your vinyl box sets are massive I hope you do a Rush Box set video your created box set of Kiss was very cool . You have a KILLER room I see the stuff your selling I need to get Ref Hot Chili Peppers one hot minute is that the red vinyl that was a cool album. I feel you Brandon Mofi and Japanese pressings are superior they sound magnificent I've on t hat kick too. thanks for sharing Brandon cool tour. Lovell
very nice set up for your system bro. huge collection of box sets and vinyl i see. thats cool. i got a few box sets myself. they are cool to have. great video mike from canada eh i saw some prince in your cds room. how many do u own by prince.
Thanks man!! As far as Prince, I have vinyl and cds up through Love Sexy. Not a ton beyond that. I was not the biggest fan of most of his recent work. One of true geniuses of music in the last 30+ years. Amazing the stuff he came out with.
Hey Man, Next time you do a video, please show the aluminum Lp Case you have on the floor. I am looking to get one but I understand that some are better than others. Cheers
Brandon, always love your tour videos. Cool to see your new preamp and Niles amp (did you buy those used or new?) and I bet those speakers sound incredible! Do they use a ribbon tweeter? I've been thinking about getting cable elevators but didn't want to spend as much as they were asking. I would be VERY interested in who you bought them from. :) Do you use a specific brand of RCA and speaker wire? Only asking 'cause I use generic and am curious if you have recommendations to go a little beyond that... Also, its always awesome to see the purge updates... man, it looks like it's kicked into high gear! Haha, you had some really good stuff in those piles! The CD room was a great chose; looks perfect! Always good to see your videos and am glad your back from your short time away >> missed ya. Hope you're doing well man, -Brad
Thanks for stopping by Brad! I got the Niles used from a guy a met a few months ago. Really cool guy. He is older and retired and a total audiophile. He wrote audio reviews for a magazine for almost 10 years. He has an AMAZING system in his man cave and have taught me a lot. He picks up things here and there and that was a piece he just had sitting around for sometime. With RCAs I have been using audioquest rca and speaker cables. Pretty good intro level cables that normal joes can afford. Mainly the Evergreen RCAs and Type 4 speaker cables. As far as the elevator...check out link about. They guys sells them on ebay. Hope that helps man!! Take care and have a great one!! Thanks as always for watching.
Thanks my friend. If you haven't stumbled across it yet check out my 2018 room tour video I posted a few weeks ago. A few things have changed since this one lol.
Dude, I'm sorry. I honestly don't recall. I got it in a batch of metal lps and listened to it one or two times. It was Ok, but not something I felt I needed to keep. I totally don't recall the name of the band. I think it was an E.P. though. .
@@mrhoffame my english is not good i don't understand much your answer i'm from peru just what is the name of the band that comes out with red cover please
Dude I would love to be your neighbor.Such An awesome room .What happen to the Martain Logans. And where did you get the cd wall hangers, Thos are so cool looking Love the room!!!
love that CD room you have created. The way its displayed and stored is fantastic. Do you throw away the burned CD, when you come across and buy original one? Or if you have an album that's burnt on CD, you don't bother hunting for an original? Also, where are the cassettes kept nowadays?
Thanks for stopping my friend. Yeah, if I have a burnt cd and find an original I toss the burnt copy. I'm not a huge fan of burnt cds at all, but when you look at all the music you can get into your iTunes for free from the public library...can't pass that up lol. My cassettes are in the Boom Boom room lol. I'll be doing a tour of that soon.
Thanks my friend! Those boxes were just home made. Pretty simple when you think about it lol. I have a friend make a few for me and I made about 8 of them myself. Since I don't have a table saw or anything right now I just went to Lowes, bought the wood, and had them cut the pieces I needed and just screwed them together and painted them.
Very inspiring room tour. May I ask which format of Japanese pressings do you find most reliable ( ie, Blue Spec2, UHQCD, SHM-SACD)?. Thanks. Now on to the boom boom room!.
LOL Thanks man. I'll try to work it into a vid and at least show what patches on are it. I think I did it a few years ago, but I could not tell you for the life of me what video that was in lol.
Great video! Do you have any methods to mitigate noise complaints from neighbors upstairs or downstairs when it's time to sit down and listen to some music? I guess the only way to really assure against that is to rent or buy your own house!
Basically I simple ask my neighbors. The two I worry about...we pass in the hall all the time and I just keep asking them if they can hear anything or have any issues. In the time I've been here I have a pretty good feel for what the level is at this point. You are right though, I need to get back a single home so I can let the juices flow!!! lol
Never been there. I do love the vintage stuff too so I total smell what you are steppin' in. I'll show my other two systems soon as well. One has a Sansui G-5000 and a Marantz 2275 (which I just upgraded the LEDs two weeks ago) that I'm sure a vintage lover like you will appreciate :) Thanks for watching my friend.
Your room looks great btw.... I was gonna redo mine tomorrow but not sure how im doing it yet So im gonna hold off abit. Marantz and Sansui the ultimate decision lol.... You got both thats cool. Thanks for responding
Thanks man. I picked those up at a local shop. You find them on Amazon, but I think they are selling here for like $30 each. I got the exact same ones at this shop for 11.99 lol. I wish he had more :(
Just started watching your stuff. I'm looking to get back in the collecting as well. I'm lost so much over the years. Where do you get the plastic sleeves for the records and the CDs that you keep them in
Great time to jump back in my friend. Vinyl is truly at a peak now and cds are so darn cheap with all the digital competition. I get my protective sleeves from bagsunlimited (dotcom). They have great sleeves for everything . The ones you see here are the crystal clear resealable sleeves. Hope that helps my friend!!
mrhoffame yes that does help thank you. I had mostly McIntosh with dynaudio speakers back in the day in 2000 I got divorced and my wife sold everything on me including records and CDs my record collection was not as expensive as yours I had about a hundred fifty but CDs I had over 400. Time to start all over I listen to everything from Tool to John Coltrane that's why I like your collection so much very variety oriented
I buy them wherever I can find them LOL. Ebay, Amazon, local stores, book stores, pawn shops, etc. I have really gotten into Japanese and Mofi cds lately so those I pretty much only find on ebay and amazon, but other than that I just keep my eyes open. I am very, very, very picky though at this point. I only buy cds that are perfect/like new condition. Not a single scratch or even the lightest scuff lol.
I'm not 100% sure what you mean by "What are they"? If you are asking name brand..I have no clue. You mean where did I get them? If so the cd ones I got from an FYE that went out of business. The vinyl one (brown) a friend just made those (and the bottom part holding the box sets are ikea shelves. The one with my purge pile under the window I just bought from a small records shop. They weren't "for sale", I just asked if he would sell them lol. Thanks for watching my friend!!
I just switch over to these. I get them from bagsunlimited dot com. They are the Crystal Clear Resealable flaps. The crystal clear ones really make the artwork pop. A lot of the VC had gone with these. I was a tad late to game because I figured if I bought them I would have swap out my entire collection with them lol. I get the cd sleeves from there too.
How come almost all good music is old music. Wtf happened to music? And movies too. It seems the new movies are also horrible? TVs keep getting clearer like 4k yet movies get crappier every year. I won't even invest in 4 k tv because what's the point. No matter how clear the tv is if the movies sux it sux
I blame it on like buttons lol. Seriously though. I mean don't you find it odd that a good chunk of singers back in the day were "normal" or "abnormal" looking people? Today it's almost like the first think they look for is "who looks like a model" to lead this band. Songs, groups, and records are not longer made to be timeless. Rather to see how many units we can get downloaded in the next 6 months before we have to find the next shiny thing. Between looking to be the next shocking thing, short term streaming wars, pro tools, and oversaturated market...music has taken a horrible turn overall. Back in the day when radio ruled and all you had was a 4 or 8 track recorder...all you could count on was talent. NOTHING ELSE....and that talent still shows itself to new people to this very day. Younger and Younger kids are still discovering and marveling over The Beatles, The Stones, Queen, etc. Tell me...who is the band from 2019 whom a kid is going to discover in 2039 and think they are the greatest of all time? Fat chance lol.
That wall of CD’s was really cool.
I could get lost in this room! Tons of great stuff and well organized. Next... the boom boom room!
Also love the CD room. Where did you get the CD wall displays from?
Talk about a room goal! Love the clean lines, and just the pop factor the room has. Really clever idea to use the laundry room as a CD shrine room, really shows of the creativity of the space.
DAMN. This room is perfection. Definitely gets a subscribe from this guy.
Thanks so much my friend! Really appreciate you stopping by. If you dug this video I just posted a tour of my new music room (moved a couple of months ago). Check that one out and let me know which you like better \m/

Awesome room tour, is there a video on how you made the Rush and Sabbath road cases? They look killer!
I would spend the rest of my life in a room like that.
hello friend what a good room, what band is that red vinyl that you see in the minute 11:20 please
Dude, I'm sorry. I honestly don't recall. I got it in a batch of metal lps and listened to it one or two times. It was Ok, but not something I felt I needed to keep. I totally don't recall the name of the band. I think it was an E.P. though. .

cool man, looking forward to it. Are you buying CD's frequently ?
I buy them as I find them for good prices. My main focus with cds right now are the Japanese and Mofi cds.
awesome its always good to improve on the quality of the collection
Goodness!
LOL Thanks
You have every Pat Benatar CD, so that's cool. I have a burned copy of Coxon's Army on CD.
COOL!
I really like how you have your records set up I think is the best way to go. I don’t like the cubes.
Where did you get those lps organizers?
Thanks my friend! Those boxes were just home made. Pretty simple when you think about it lol. I have a friend make a few for me and I made about 8 of them myself. Since I don't have a table saw or anything right now I just went to Lowes, bought the wood, and had them cut the pieces I needed and just screwed them together and painted them.
Oh, or maybe you were talking about the dividers lol. I got those from bagsunlimited.com
mrhoffame I made mine too, well a prototype lol but it works.
What kind of wood did you use?
This is legit a damn record store lol
hey how are you your music room is amazing i wish a had a room like that :)
what's up bro good video like all ways lol
How many CDs do you have today, @mrhoffame?
Very inspiring room tour.
May I ask which format of Japanese pressings do you find most reliable ( ie, Blue Spec2, UHQCD, SHM-SACD)?.
Thanks. Now on to the boom boom room!.
I really can't say as I haven't done a close comparison. All I can say is that most of mine are the SHM-SACD.
Hey man i saw that battle jacket on the wall can you do video about it if you didnt
LOL Thanks man. I'll try to work it into a vid and at least show what patches on are it. I think I did it a few years ago, but I could not tell you for the life of me what video that was in lol.
Awesome room. Where did you get the lamps that are by your turntable and system? What brand are they?
Thanks so much! Those lamps are just some small desk top lamps that you can get from Ikea.
Rigthouse lay out!!!!
\m/
Where did you get those great cd racks???
I actually picked those up at an FYE that was going out of business.
You are right though, I need to get back a single home so I can let the juices flow!!! lol
The place you lived in around 2015 with the exposed brick and the wood beams in the ceiling was really excellent. Bet the rent was high!
Holy hell…..
I know! I got problems right? lol
I dropped off a receiver up north of Columbus today to be worked on (wooster audio) on fb. Wow what a vintage audio heaven. Have you been their?
I really like the cd wall display. Where did you get that?
Thanks man. I picked those up at a local shop. You find them on Amazon, but I think they are selling here for like $30 each. I got the exact same ones at this shop for 11.99 lol. I wish he had more :(
Holy Sh...
Where do you guys buy your CD’s? I think Amazon is a good place what do y’all think
Dude that so sucks that you had to lose everything like that!
I am no longer available for the next day or two
What are the shelves that you used that are flipable?
I'm not 100% sure what you mean by "What are they"? If you are asking name brand..I have no clue. You mean where did I get them? If so the cd ones I got from an FYE that went out of business. The vinyl one (brown) a friend just made those (and the bottom part holding the box sets are ikea shelves. The one with my purge pile under the window I just bought from a small records shop. They weren't "for sale", I just asked if he would sell them lol. Thanks for watching my friend!!
Where do you get your vinyl shelves?
