Very nice. I am getting so sick of my Ikea shelves I really want to go back to standard record store shelves. So much better for my neck and my eyes. I know a guy that puts 12 by 12 ceramic tiles on the back of his shelves behind the last record to keep them from warping.
I felt the same way. That was my reason for the change. I have an Ikea 5X5 I'm trying to get rid of right now lol. I kinda do the same thing except I use old lps and mailing inserts at the back of each cube to prevent the warping. I also make sure over 3/4 of each stack sits vertical at all time. Actually a bit anal about it. Hard to believe I'm anal about anything in my collection right? lol

I had gotten divorced ,my mom passed away.Im in here place now with 50 years of stereo equipment from Fisher,Harmon kardon tubes equipment so many receivers,amps,preamps,speakers over 30 pairs AR,jbl,advent,allison,martinlogans,ohm etc.I sold 1700 albums now have 500,thousands of cds,DVD,laser discs,Vhs,cassettes hundreds,Reel to Reel tapes 3 decks,5 turntables,2bedroom townhouse with balcony and catheral ceiling it sounds like a concert hall in here...Well i had to vent ...thanks my man ,I always watch your videos you have great taste in music..take care Geno.
Ha Ha! Yeah, it's actually not to bad. When you look at it there really isn't a ton of surface area to dust. little vacuuming and some light dusting and we are good to go lol.

So at least we know it's doable lol. That is actually a hard rule I have. NO record gets put on the shelf/into the collection until I have listened to it.. :)

Dude.....beyond envious. If I had the means and space, my set-up would look very similar to yours. Is all of your record storage (like the boxes on the floor with wheels) homemade? Or are you kind of modding existing furniture? I imagine those wheeled bins are crazy useful.
All the front facing boxes are home made. They are sitting on Ikea shelves. The two silver stands are just two old sofa tables I had lol. The rollers on those two boxes are also from Ikea. Made for their cubed shelves.

Yes indeed my friend. I'm working on that Motorhead and Overkill Cd box set. Also at the bottom of the rack you see that In This Moment and Rammstein albums sitting there? ...I actually put those there in the video to block to two vinyl box sets I am currently working on which are an AC/DC set and a Rob/White Zombie set so keep an eye out for those. Especially the Zombie one. I have been pretty stoked about how that one is coming along.
Brandon, That sounds so cool. My imagination is telling me you could have some horrific things attached to the outside of the Zombie boxset. 😈 Ive just started to get into Rob Zombie recently and picked up Educated Horses and Hillbilly deluxe. I have about 12 Motorhead cds so i have a little way to go to complete my collection. i always find a Motorhead album is a good antidote to a bad day at work. Andy H

I am starting my own collection of LPs and I was wondering if you have any quick tips in regards of how you take care of the records, which LP player should I get.. any quick tips would be appreciated. Congrats again on your collection!
That is awesome my friend. As much as I love my collection now it still doesn't compare to that feeling from the first year or two when I started collecting vinyl. My big piece of advice...just go for what makes you happy. Don't buy stuff because it's "What you are suppose to have" or what anyone says. Only buy what you just honestly can't put down and gives you such pleasure to own. As a collector you will find you move through stages of what you want to own and collect. For me, if I could go back and start all over, I would probably have focused on getting everything in mint condition from the start. ...but that is also not fair to say because that is where I am now as a collector. Back then some ring wear and pops/crackles didn't matter. As far as equipment. I think for the money it can be great to start with some vintage equipment. You can really get some great vintage turntable and receivers that you will be very happy with. What kind of music do you like? Do you live in the states or outside the states?
mrhoffame Thank you very much for taking the time to reply. I completely agree with you that owning the LP pf one of your favorite bands is just the best feeling ever. I live in Mexico, and it is hard to find some records in good conditions. My favorite genre is definitely rock. Bands like AC/DC, Guns N Roses, Queen, The Killers, Muse, Arctic Monkeys and the best of all (of course in my opinion) Kings of Leon. I started this year and I have around 25 LPs already, so when I looked your collection, I noticed how much good stuff is out there that I really want, lol
I wonder why I bother, it looks like a store, and there’s my copy of Jailbreak! Well, I’m depressed. BTW, how long did it take? You could forget your way out of there! What a beautiful job, thanks!
LOL Thanks man! Don't be depressed. Just come over and hang out some time! It didn't really "take long" because I am ALWAYS changing my room around. Matter of fact about 3 weeks after I did this video I moved my cassette collection into this area. I have been here just over 2 years and I think I have changed this area around 6 times so far lol. This is probably my favorite set up so far, but trust me...there will be more updated room videos to show the next "idea' that came to mind lol. \m/ Take care my friend!
this is unreal ..I can only imagine the time and money in the this room I will say be careful with sharpie and stuff that's sighned right up against the glass in frames I was told by someone who works with this stuff that it can ruin the signatures...also where did you find the bases with wheels? that idea is really cool...cheers

Ive just started to get into Rob Zombie recently and picked up Educated Horses and Hillbilly deluxe. I have about 12 Motorhead cds so i have a little way to go to complete my collection. i always find a Motorhead album is a good antidote to a bad day at work.

Hi! I discovered your channel today, and I have to say your collection is amazing! I am starting my own collection of LPs and I was wondering if you have any quick tips in regards of how you take care of the records, which LP player should I get.. any quick tips would be appreciated. Congrats again on your collection!
That is awesome my friend. As much as I love my collection now it still doesn't compare to that feeling from the first year or two when I started collecting vinyl. My big piece of advice...just go for what makes you happy. Don't buy stuff because it's "What you are suppose to have" or what anyone says. Only buy what you just honestly can't put down and gives you such pleasure to own. As a collector you will find you move through stages of what you want to own and collect. For me, if I could go back and start all over, I would probably have focused on getting everything in mint condition from the start. ...but that is also not fair to say because that is where I am now as a collector. Back then some ring wear and pops/crackles didn't matter. As far as equipment. I think for the money it can be great to start with some vintage equipment. You can really get some great vintage turntable and receivers that you will be very happy with. What kind of music do you like? Do you live in the states or outside the states?
mrhoffame Thank you very much for taking the time to reply. I completely agree with you that owning the LP pf one of your favorite bands is just the best feeling ever. I live in Mexico, and it is hard to find some records in good conditions. My favorite genre is definitely rock. Bands like AC/DC, Guns N Roses, Queen, The Killers, Muse, Arctic Monkeys and the best of all (of course in my opinion) Kings of Leon. I started this year and I have around 25 LPs already, so when I looked your collection, I noticed how much good stuff is out there that I really want, lol

LOL Thanks man! Don't be depressed. Just come over and hang out some time! It didn't really "take long" because I am ALWAYS changing my room around. Matter of fact about 3 weeks after I did this video I moved my cassette collection into this area. I have been here just over 2 years and I think I have changed this area around 6 times so far lol. This is probably my favorite set up so far, but trust me...there will be more updated room videos to show the next "idea' that came to mind lol. \m/ Take care my friend!

this is unreal ..I can only imagine the time and money in the this room I will say be careful with sharpie and stuff that's sighned right up against the glass in frames I was told by someone who works with this stuff that it can ruin the signatures...also where did you find the bases with wheels? that idea is really cool...cheers
Thanks my friend. It just kind of adds up over the years. I literally have tons of stuff here from grade school and high school lol. I just never got rid of anything. I still have the first cassette I bought back in 5th grade lol
