I just got home from watching Voctave's Christmas concert tonight... watching them on here and seeing them in person is a totally different experience. I highly recommend anyone who has a chance to see them... DO IT!
I was in the pit orchestra for Jekyll & Hyde just after high school and this song was always so much fun to play and be a part of. This arrangement gave me chills and brought tears to my eyes, it's just a testament to the emotional power that Voctave is able to put into their voices.
Voctave is the benchmark. Forever. You don‘t need any „masterclass“ to understand voctave. Open your heart. Feel it.

I just absolutely adore that "Super Soprano". Her voice is the clearest most beautiful tool I have ever heard. She could blow away anyone on that stage, but she keeps in control...

I am sooooooo happy to see you react to this performance! It's one of my favorites. At least once a month I re-watch this along with Voctave's O Come All Ye Faithful, Mary Did You Know and the Disney Showstoppers, Love and Princess Medleys.

I have the same love and reactions about Kate! As a soprano, I can only dream of having her kind of talent. Been a fan since 2007 when I saw her singing in Voices of Liberty. Every time we would go, I always hoped to see the little soprano in the blue dress. I love Voctave, I wish they would perform near me.

Grew up on Avalon and Jody was THAT guy. Really great to see him with Voctave
Geoff released a video on his channel called “How to sing REALLY low. A short tutorial.” It’s very interesting to watch it, even though I’m not a singer, and if I was I’d be a soprano, but it’s still fascinating. I recommend you check it out.

This rendition is a trifecta of awesome for me: 1) I love Voctave. Enough said. 2) I used to listen to Jodie when he was with 'Avalon' back in the day. Love that group. 3) I absolutely adore Jekyll & Hyde. I saw it on Broadway with the original cast. *That* was an experience.
Still have all my Avalon CDs. Saw Jody perform about 3 years ago. Told him afterwards how much I enjoyed playing those CDs. He said, "Still today you do?" Told him i hadn't found any better group & I'm 70 y/o so I've been listening quite awhile. ;-)

Fun fact about Jody. He got his start singing in the late 90s early 2000s with the contemporary Christian group Avalon, and is the lead on the song "Testify to Love". Jody is still very active in the Gospel Community.
I was surprised to find he is now here in my town, Cincinnati, serving as a worship leader in a local church. We plan to pay a visit Sunday. :-)

Kate's up-in-the-rafters floating tones kept sounding like overtones, they were so pure and effortless. Freakin jealous! I also sang this song as a solo, in junior college.
Jody was a founding member of the Contemporary Christian group Avalon, and is one of the best tenors I’ve ever heard.
Jeckyll and Hyde performing in January at the Kings Academy. Great leading cast this year.

I personally like the original version who sang it first Linda Eder this song was written for her. Linda's voice is amazing the whole play was written because of her voice. The song was written by her husband at the time Frank wildhorn. She is one of the people I've asked you to react to and too bad you did this song with these people because this is one of her signature songs. She did an incredible version of this on the Rosie O'Donnell show and is the best version I've ever heard of this song.
