Really brave of you to withstand the 20” of snow, a collapsed tent, not enough firewood. Glad you made it out. Food was the best part of your camping trip. I would trash that tent -too flimsy. Stay warm.

Это реально так холодно что даже сейчас меня дрожь пробирает! Как вы там не околели при таком холоде? Меня печка дома при -30 не спасает. По два раза а то и три топлю! Это было в начале 90-х годов на европейском севере России! Охотиться ходил при температуре воздуха минус 37 градусов! Пока идёшь на лыжах - тепло, как только остановился покурить (тогда ещё курил), через пару минут становится холодно! Добывал глухарей, полярных куропаток. Но пушнину не охотился, поскольку это был охотничий участок другого охотника! И я охотился с его разрешения на боровую птицу! Здоровья и удачи!
Я тоже закончил с походной жизнью на 71-м году жизни! Переехал жить в очень тёплую страну, где у меня нет ни снаряжения, ни нужной одежды и нужного транспорта для поездок в глушь, потому, что и глуши тоже нет! 😂 Мне идёт 73-й год, езжу вдоль моря на велосипеде и мне этого хватает! Здоровья и удачи!

This is a great video. Using a tarp that you put up into as much of an A as possible above the tent can help prevent a collaspe like that. I got so worried about the stove being under that, but I imagine the stove was completely cold at that point. Looks like a wonderful camping trip!
I thought I was the only one! Dig down to Earth. Personally, I would have prefered a snow cave approach and ditch the tent (again "Out Door Boys").And, camp stove on snow?? Yeah, wet feet or worse. And with that, doesn't as though tent was supposed to have a stove (had to cut the opening and the snow collecting on the stove itself). Oh, yeah one more "out Door Boys" referance, tossing the snow shoes next to the site as opposed to hanging them from a tree. Lost shoes in the making. In short, for those who would like to camp in these conditions, and survive the experiance...don't do this and watch the Out Door Boys or hell, Kent Survival. At least you'll eat well.

Need to get you one of those 30 second tents that open up like an umbrella. Be suitable for events and emergencies when trying to get in shelter to warm up and get a fire going as quickly as possible with a stove. Anchoring guy ropes into 12" of snow with a 6" peg. Not enough wood to see him through the night.....thankfully the stove went out before the tent collapsed on top of it. If he had enough wood, he could have kept the fire going and the heat would have prevented such deep snow on the roof of the tent. Drinking alcohol in severe cold weather. Sitting in wet clothes. Getting into sleeping bag with damp clothes, sleeping without a hat. What could possibly go wrong!!! 🤔🤔🤔

The tent design is the problem. It needs to shed snow off the top, but the poles hold it in. Luckily he stove went out. Glad u r safe
