Thank you guys for watching. If you guys want a signed print for your wall I print all of them myself from my large format Canon printer larrychenprints.com/
You can come any day. Performance shops are everywhere and with high quality builds. From old Toyotas to the latest exotics. The drag racing scene is the most crazy in any island on the world.
I have a 1982 toyota corolla 1.8 in Miami, Florida that ran best ETs 8.50s street registered with an evo 8 4g63 engine Swap. The Corolla 1.8 is an iconic build all over the world.
Australia definitely has some nice rotary builds and us Puerto Ricans shows mad respect to them,but...but hands down we are the fastest in 2JZ,12A,13B,20B,3TC,22R lol I can keep going lol..Google is your friend look it up...oh and by the way look it up here in RUclips 😊...Puerto Rico is and island that measures 35/100 square miles...how big is Australia?
Here in Puerto Rico 😊 We here have lots of builds like this Running every Sunday Through out the Island... Rotarys, 3TC, 2Jz, and everything with wheels
You need to come down to Puerto Rico so you can see some narly 70's, 80's and 90's builds from 12a rotary, 4rotor rotary up to 2jz starlets running 6 seconds with the stock wheels base
I love the coverage of Hawaiian car culture. Last time I was on Oahu we saw a few sic builds. There is/was a lot of turmoil around the observatory so the locals were not in the mood for fun, but I still got out there and looked about. What a rad group of loyal car guys.
One of my single favorite car builds I've ever seen. Had a 2006 Corolla and the difference in body styles is so crazy between these generations. Also wow it sounds amazing, this guy is seriously talented.
Toyota enthusiast FTW. Corolla name is one of the biggest names in the world. Glad to see how big the car community is in the Corolla world. Would love to get a AE86
Love these more oddball builds that you find and feature Larry, please keep them coming. This Corolla is definitely unlike any Corolla from this era or any other that I've ever seen, sounds so good, like a hybrid between an American V8 and a well tuned Japanese straight 6.
This is the Puerto Rican Beemer. Larry, you need to take a trip to Puerto Rico, or wherever Puerto Ricans dwell (Orlando, NY, Jersey, Connecticut). PRs squeeze every HP out of these and drag race them all the time. This car is great, but when you swap out the internals on the stock block, you can boost 30 lbs like it’s cool. Look up Branden Alvarez, from PSI Racing in Bradenton FL. He had the quickest/fastest Corolla for good chunck of the 90s. He has his own Channel too. He can put you on the whole culture of these. This is one of the East Coast and island racing go to car.
We got a lot of weird crazy carollas and small rwd cars here in Aus too 👌 With anything and everything stuffed into them lol there's even 1 with a blown 454 bbc lol Tons of jz ones, there's a 2j one doing 750s in a ke20 lol
2:16 '74 Corolla SR5 2TC. I think I'm in love. 🥰😍🤩Lol My first car was like dat except turquoise blue--headers, widened SR5 rims 13x5 out back, MSD, polished valve cover, motor carriage painted gloss black, electric fuel pump, 4-barrel carb, shortened shifter, beauty rings all around, Porsche mirrors, wild Isky solid lift cam, dark tint. Had the red lines down the front seats. I miss her.
Larry I highly recommend to visit Puerto Rico. You will find this year car and more with beauty and crazy build. Also you can ask Ricky Solo from Throtl about it.
Ran 9.9 @ 159 in my 4 door 328. MIR said i needed a chute to come back. That was 2008, havnt been back since. Edit: that was also a full interior car with a.c. and heated leather seats.😂
That was my very first car would be a dream to have it back and be able to accomplish half of what he has. Now I wanted to go with a 22R with Weber carburetor and the lsd and 15 inch wheels a DIY wide body kit EG hammering out the fenders the other thing is is the ones that we had here in Canada they had a big front bumper and guys would import the ones from Japan that were a lot smaller and then mine had the square front headlights and I had always wanted to go with the round headlights.
And btw that thing struggles to move those poor little slicks with a non preped surface over here in P.R with a sticky preped surface the struggle for traction because the cars are to powerfull we are talking about over 1300hp on a car that barely weighs 2000 pounds
I wanna see Larry make a video in puerto with some fast rotary’s cos it’s a fact 🇵🇷 PR has some of the fastest cars on the island they are know for speed and power the performance from these cars comes from the engineering in Puerto Rico hopefully Larry can make a sick video in PR I can’t wait to see it
On a R154...wow .that people is saying is no good for racing can't take high RPM .. you just can't take in what people say .would love to see it run .👍 great job .
What a awesome video love this Toyota from Hawaii but definitely you need to make a video in Puerto Rico you will see some fast cars out there from rotary’s to 2jzs this might be little controversial in the car community people that really know what I’m saying is true but anyhow awesome work man
Come to Australia.. Go to Cleveland Exhaust.. He has a Street Registered.. Toyota Corolla that does 8 sec 1/4 mile.. And doesnt look as stupid as this.. Nugget garage on RUclips..
Thank you guys for watching. If you guys want a signed print for your wall I print all of them myself from my large format Canon printer larrychenprints.com/
Everyone seems to want me to go to Puerto Rico. What is the big event to go to? And when is it? 😂
You won't regret it trust me ..a lot of old school imports I mean a lot ...every Sunday is car show in the road
You can come any day. Performance shops are everywhere and with high quality builds. From old Toyotas to the latest exotics. The drag racing scene is the most crazy in any island on the world.

@@RaycenKalai I'd have to disagree with you there. Everyone knows australia takes the best rotary trophy.

@turbofedz8997 oh definitely PR has the fastest. But the best street drivable rotary is Australia. 8sec street beast, pac builds are elite.

How old are you?
These are the cars(Toyota Mazda Datsun ect )that paved the way for what we now know as import drag racing.
Yes Puerto Rico has El humilde which is an old toyota corolla and has beat many worldwide events
dad one real humble braddah. he got some sweet rides.
PR here. 🇵🇷
Puerto Rico has been running corollas on the drag strip since the 80s… most of them with rotary engines in them.
Earlier... from the 70 .
Larry you need to come to Orlando for sport compact, so many of these types of cars are drag cars here in Florida.
Awesome build. South Africans love this corolla. Got so many modified ones on the road!
Yup Alex has definitely worked his way and impressed the shit outta everybody Congratulations Bro
Native American gearheads need more coverage. Love and respect from the island in the sea of grass. (Black Hills, SD)
Best Corolla I ever seen 👍👍👍
You need to tour PR and Jamaica for import drags too!!
Master builder of jz cars
Man that thing is so well done just that font mount lol other than that, very well executed!

It's a ke70 they come from the factory with a 3k motor 1.3 little there was also a 1.6 liter but it had a different front end

82 WAS THE LAST YEAR TOYOTA MAD REAR WHEEL DRIVE.
Only in Hawaii You Can Own a Toyota Where the motor cost more then the car 🛠🤙🏼
B e a utiful
Currently, there are no vehicle emissions test requirements in the state of Hawaii. Same as Oklahoma. These cars would never pass in California.
And your point is?
Anytime you anti emissions clowns want to race us in California, bring it.
@@dj4monie his point is don't move to california LMAO didn't need to tell me that though hahaha
Da slicks das why
We don't need the ke70's and ke71's getting more desirable plez
Gay
