Seems like a lot of people are suggesting Taylor Swift's album Folklore. I'll add the song Exile to my to do list, since that's the song people seem to like the most from the album. I'll also check out Coney Island, which is featuring The National, so that seems like an interesting song as well. Thanks a lot for watching and for all of your suggestions as well! :)
Aaron Dessner is the primary instrumentalist for the band & has been collaborating heavily with Taylor since 2020 during the pandemic. They put out 2 indie/ folk albums called folklore & evermore. He continued to produce songs on her two re-recorded albums Fearless & Red (Taylor’s Version), and co-wrote 4 songs off her current album midnights. She is currently touring and Aaron has been to 2 -3 shows and they have played 2 songs together. The rest of the National also contributed to folklore & evermore, and brought in Bon Iver. With this song she co-wrote & co-produced it. Aaron & Taylor are BFFs and what she describes as her musical soulmate.
Taylor and Aaron Dessner (one of the national members) worked together on two of Taylor's albums. which are folk/pop albums called 'folklore' and 'evermore' and she collabed with The National several times. I think you'll like folklore and evemore. it's very chill. hope you'll react to them :)
First time veiwer! I saw the lyric video for the first time last night, and I love it! Do take the advice of those who recommend reviewing the other things they have done together!
You should definitely checkout Taylor’s album Folklore and Evermore, I think you’d like it. Also "Renegade" and "Birch" by Big Red Machine feat. Taylor Swift. Big Red Machine is Aaron Dessner and Justin Vernon’s band/project 🫶🏼
they have collaborated in one more song called "Coney Island". it's from Taylor's album "Evermore". this album and another one of her albums "Folklore" are not mainstream pop. the vibe is like singer songwriter, indie genre. Taylor showing off her songwriting abilities. you should check them out.
Aaron Dessner worked with Taylor’s couple albums. Folklore and Evermore. Those two are more of your cup of tea with Taylor. Taylor has a genre for everybody.
Taylor love the national a lot and she work a lot with Arron dessner they did 3 albums together (you must listen to folklore it’s insanely good its an indie folk album) she also was feat on other national project
Ok, collaborations with Taylor Swift are always interesting, but I think you should really delve into The National's discography. High Violet, Boxer, Trouble Will Find me and Sleep well Beast are all incredible albums. songs like Terrible love, Bloodbuzz Ohio, Graceless, Geese of Beverly road, Mr. November, Don't swallow the cap, little faith… are all absolute musts. and then there are more relaxing and melancholy masterpieces like About Today, Nobody else Will be there, light years, fake empire. The National are a sensational band!
You will love both folklore and evermore, also one of the songs on folklore has a song called "exile" featuring Bon Iver (Justin Vernon) that is really good. Not all of Taylor's music is pop, you should check out her Reputation album too.
Boxer is probably their best album if not one of the best albums period. High Violet is another great album. Bloodbuzz Ohio Apartment Story Guest Room Sorrow Fake Empire Terrible Love Are just some of the amazing songs off those 2 albums
Henlo again, sir kip. Hope you're doing well! Highly suggesting to check out Consvmer (heavy-hitters from Germany). They dropped their latest track "Parasit" (Pa-rah-zeet) just recently, nevertheless, personally I'd go with "Stimmen" (Sh-tee-men) & "Perfekt" first (though feel free to react to any of each). Their debut album is only on Bandcamp (though haven't listened to it yet), but everything else is currently available on Spotify. Sounds promising so far, can't wait for their next album besides 'Obsession'.
Looks like the comments are dominated by Taylor Swift fans which is predictable, but kinda crazy given how great this band is. The National are heavyweights in the Indie music scene. This is their 9th album, and while I like a few tracks on it, it pales in comparison to their earlier work. If you do intend to check out their back catalog, then I'm jealous, because it will likely blow you away. Especially the 2005-2017 run, including the following albums: Alligator, Boxer, High Violet, Trouble Will Find Me, and Sleep Well Beast... Some of the best music ever made (four of those records ended up on NME's top 500 records of all time list). But let me also do you the favor of pointing out a few tracks from their other output that you might miss otherwise: Cherry Tree EP - If you liked this song, wait'll you hear "About Today" off of this release. The whole EP is solid, but that is a killer track that would be criminal to miss. "Exile, Vilify" - the band contributed this track to one of my favorite video games ever- Portal 2 (a masterpiece of a game). This is an absolutely haunting track that takes on new meaning when used in the game (too many Easter eggs there, but you can find it in the game, and there are RUclips videos that feature the backstory of one of the characters set to this song). I love, love, love this track. High Violet album has an expanded edition which features fantastic bonus tracks like "You Were a Kindness", "Wake Up You Saints", "Sin Eaters", and the Alternative version of "Terrible Love" - which in my opinion should be the only version of that song because of its raw energy. The video (on YT too) for this version will show you why - this is how they've played the song every time I've seen them. There are also really solid live versions of other tracks like "Bloodbuzz, Ohio" which should not be missed. They did a concert in Sydney, Australia that is also on here which is pretty fantastic, and there are also multiple other shows from about 10 years ago on here where they had guests like Richard Reed Perry from Arcade Fire, Sufjan Stevens, and others. Finally there is the excellent documentary film "Mistaken For Strangers" that is a must see for fans. It was made by Matt's brother Tom, and features their interpersonal dynamics and a lot of touring / life on the road footage. Really though, you should just check it all out. This is one of the best bands in existence in the last few decades. Do yourself a huge favor and invest the time. It'll be worth it. I promise.

folklore is an album! evermore (the album) is even better in my opinion, but folklore won album of the year at the grammys!
@@FOTS13 oops, fixed it haha. Thanks for letting me know. I'll check out the song Exile somewhere in the near future :)

The saga goes in this way for me: Exile, Coney Island and then The Alcott! This will haunt me and I am ready❤

Pretty sure I've listened to them before. Name sounds familiar at least. I'll go for their latest song Parasit to check out my channel!
Beautiful....
Many people already suggested folklore and evermore, so I'd just join with them and suggest you to listen to it again
