    For any type, if for even one (a,b) a type doesnt apply, does it mean its not that particular type?

      For any given Relation 'R' method told in this video is to just check ' Relation is reflexive, symmetric or transitive.'

      @@vmatics444 yes I understood that. But suppose there are 5 pairs and out of that 1 of them (a,b) doesn't have a (b,a), does that mean the function is not symmetric for all 5 ordered pairs?

      If(a, b)is in R then (b, a) should also be in R to say symmetric

      With vertical line test
      1)Draw a line on graph of function
      2)If line cuts the graph at only one point then it is function
      3)If line cuts the graph at more than one point then it is not a function.

    Ma'am please bataiye, agar A={1,2,3} and R={(1,1),(2,2)} toh ye reflexive hoga? ismain (3,3) nahi hai but "3" A main hai???

      Nahi, because 'R' mein (3, 3) nahi hai means '3 is not related to 3'.

    How to check relation is antisymmetric, connex or serial?

      Antisymmetric:-
      if aRb and bRa then a=b
      For exp. If R is relation on a set A , where A ={1, 2, 3} with relation 'divisibility'
      Here R = {(1,1),(2, 2), (3, 3)}
      Then R is antisymmetric.as 1/1 and reversely 1 also divides 1 this implis 1=1.
      Connex:-
      Either xRy or yRx or both
      For exp. In N set of natural no.
      With relation 'less than' 2 is less than 6 but 6 is not less than 2.
      So there will occur only one condition.
      Antisymmetric can be connex.

      For exp. If a set A is subset of set B and B is subset of A then this implies A = B.

      Symmetric check karne ke liye hamne sirf itna dekhna hai ke ,
      Given Relation mein jo elements hai har ek element ka ulta hona chahiye jaise is example mein (1,1),(2, 2),(3, 3) in sab ka ulta hai but (1, 2) ka (2, 1) nahi hai , so agar sabhi elements mein se kissi ek ka bhi ulta us relation mein nahi hai to wo symmetric nahi hoga
      Means sabhi elements ka check karna hai.

      Relation ki conditions given hongi
      For exp. If A = { 2, 6, 9} & B = {3, 5, 8, 12}
      Then Relation will be defined as:-
      R = {(a, b); a divides b, where a is in A and b is in B}
      Ans. R = {(2, 8), (2, 12), (6, 12)}

      Bcoz (1, 2) ka (2, 1), (2, 3)ka(3, 2)&(1, 3) ka (3, 1) relation mein present nahi hai
      Relation ke sabhi elements ko check karna hai , agar ek bhi element hai jiska ulta nahi hai then 'R' symmetric nahi hoga .
