Lifestyle brand? Excuse my narrow-mindedness but I believe a fashion house should be about the clothes! You make it about the 'lifestyle' if you are a crappy designer or you have nothing to offer. This guys wouldn't have made it in Milan .
I have to disagree. A lot of major, respected brands are "lifestyle brands". A well rounded brand understands its customer and this involves catering to their lifestyle.
