Very interesting and original view on ideas related to sound morphing. I don't like to throw around empty titles, but in this case, the author has an absolutely visionary approach. From concept to UX realization. Bravo, monsieur Bastan! 😉👍👏
OMG what a time be alive. Sorry if i make a jump this far. It is a self vectoring brain that mutates into new devices? My mind is blown after 5 minutes in im sold af Real talk buying now!
no it is nothing complicated just simpling mixing two parents values at random to make a new child preset. And you can add mutation factor if you want. The beauty of it is how they evolve over generations!
Feedback: instead of "Presets" or "Effects" they should be referred to as "Parent" "Child" etc. I think it makes more sense...either that or the Seed concept cause AI uses the term "Seeds".
@@dillonbastan246 I understand there’s no AI. I was mainly wanting to suggest feedback for the Effects to be called “Seeds” in the tab. Should’nt have even mentioned AI with the it’s hype and momentum building daily. I’m sure you’re aware but stable diffusion webUI forge called those sorts of variations of values seeds, similar as how you use the term. Which is absolutely correct how you use three…it’s interesting how you got this to work the way it does. I haven’t looked “under the hood” or if I even can…do t want to yet. Wanna jam. I already bought my bundle. Thank you for building it, elegant as always! NM: I’m too 😜 . :( It’s been a while. I don’t know what I’m talking about.
@@laternite thanks! I'm not aware of the stable diffusion you are referring, im not the biggest AI head by any means! I see your feedback now. the only issue with that is that it could have a naming conflict with adding seeds in the device in the Family Tree view, to have two different things referred to as seeds might be confusing. But I do agree and lament not naming everything a bit more DNA/evolution/mutation themed
@@dillonbastan246 I just had a good night of making presets and learning both devices. After using both, looking at the synth, reading through the manuals I think you’ve checked all the boxes. It’s a nice piece of work, like your other works. All I would want would be some sort of pattr storage preset manager where I could save large amounts of preset text files. Kinda like the Max Api DevicePreseter.
I've been naturally selected to be a Dillon fan

As ever, beyond marvellous. I am moist with all this breeding. Some crazy randomness so a limiter is essential. Thank you DB.
yes def a limiter if mutating/randomness. Thats why the synth version has an internal limiter
once again outdone yourself. also the UI is stunning.
keep it up beast !!!!!!
Ooh new toys.
You are a genius!
I'mma have to get my hands on this and do naughty things. First order of business: the Hapsburg Saw.
BTW: I would LOVE to see or hear a podcast of a deep dive on the concept of the device.
sure I'll add that to the list of deep dives im planning!

this was my favorite feature on the nord modular
was it ever part of nord 1? i only remember it in g2
@@TR-707 I believe only the g2
Seems very cool, could I use this in Reaper? I’m a noob.
ableton only
@@dillonbastan246 Gosh darn it. Thanks for the reply.
Reminds me of my Nord G2 Modular edit software. Parenting & mutating are quite simular
thats what people have been saying, thats cool!

they are referred to as "Seeds" and "children" and "Parents" in the device. No AI involved here though!
