    In Taiwan, we use ginger, sesame oil and salt, without other seasonings.

    What is "Huiji Waist Tonic?" Lived in Taiwan 40 years and never heard of this...can you provide the Chinese characters?

      you can leave it out, will still taste good just less the herbal note.
